    Omg! This was legit! Thank you so much PaPa Fung for teaching us the traditional way of making Chinese recipes. I just made this today and it tasted exactly like dim sum cha sui so. I followed the recipe to the T, except used butter and it was great. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ five stars 👍🏽

    Can you freeze and bake for later? If so, is the baking instructions the same? Great video!

      Yes, you’ll probably need to bake for a little longer. Since it’s going into the oven without defrosting.

    Hi Chef. Thanks for your wonderful video. Is it possible to substitute lard with butter? If so, what is the amount / ratio to substitute? .

      If you substitute it with butter, it won’t be as flaky

    May I know what is PASTRY FLOUR ? Is it Self Rising Cake Flour...?

      They’re very similar flours. Pastry flour has a little bit more protein in it. It is not self rising cake flour

    Is the filling too much for 16 Char Siu So? You have the amount for 30 Char Siew Bao

      This is different from char siu bao. This is baked crust that’s crunchy. I have a char siu bao video you can check out
