    Great video man! I was stuck with my tie rod not being able to remove it no matter how much I hit it with a hammer. After watching your video and applying a torch to it the tie rod bolt finally came off. Thanks for sharing!

    Thank you for the suggestion to use heat. It worked great once I put it on there for 2 minutes.

    This helped me. However I had to hit it several times after heating the outer tie rod for 1.5 to 2 minutes. A tip is turn the steering avd Get proper access for hitting with higher force. Mine were really stuck!

    How long did you heat it for because mine has broken right on the steering knuckle side

    • @EverydayImTECHnIt
      @EverydayImTECHnIt  Рік тому

      It's not an exact science heat it up see if it'll come out if it doesn't then heat it up more or for longer see if it'll come out it still doesn't then heat it up even longer and so on till it comes out if you get it hot enough should come right out with a few bangs of a hammer

      Squat. U need 3lb or 4 it would be out in an instant. Also pickle fork cheap to buy. But not thinking is fine too 😂

    • @EverydayImTECHnIt
      @EverydayImTECHnIt  3 роки тому +2

      Cut it off with angle grinder such as this amzn.to/3i236lj I linked example of this power tool you can get on Amazon I'm talking about you'll want to use to remove that spinning tie rod nut / bolt that just spins & won't come off!!!! I really hope this helps good luck I'm 100% sure this well work for u cut off or grind off nut then remove as shown in this video with hammer & heat!!!! my 2 cents

      Use the handsaw to cut a grove at the tie rod thread end. Put the flat screw driver in the cut grove as a stopper and loosen the tie rod nut.

  • @mariolibertad9972

    So tell me please because I can't see where you are applying the heat. Is it on the knuckle or on the threaded tie rod stud?!

    • @EverydayImTECHnIt
      @EverydayImTECHnIt  3 роки тому

      Yes sir apply heat all around the knuckle where the bolts goes through & is stuck top & bottom of knuckle!!!

    No one ever explain which part to heat up. The bolt or the A frame?

    • @cuzz63
      @cuzz63 6 місяців тому

      not the bolt.

  • @peterlapointe4851
    @peterlapointe4851 2 роки тому

    Just hit the side of the A frame, where the outer tie rod bolts into, with a heavy hammer, very hard. The vibration will shock the tie rod out of the hole. Old mechanics trick.

    • @joshquatch2170

      Yeah old trick that doesn't work everytime.
