The Little Details about Yelena in these episodes are the best. Like how she wanted Mac and Cheese when she was a child in one of the first scenes of black widow, and how she was never able to buy clothes for herself so she just goes crazy and seems to buy whatever she loves! Yelena is quickly becoming a favorite of Mine!

Brah these new marvel movies and series are doin so bad from money and fans and critics standpoint. Like this show called Hawkeye and its about woman. Funny hah. They lose money, fame and everything but they doesnt care because they wanted to create a 'woman world'. This is sad, because this idea f'd up Star Wars and the new Lotr series too. They keep losing money and fame everytime. Look at the stats. This is really sad.

i think watching DareDevil is essential because this show doesn't even begin grasp how terrifying Kingpin truly can be, ya the show is good without it, but knowing Kingpin and hearing him say "they need to be reminded who this city belongs too" is bone chilling imo

The agent number on the watch confirms that Laura is this universe's version of Mockingbird, which explains why she's so cool about what Hawkeye has been doing. She's basically the SHIELD version of a black widow, but with a telescoping staff that can separate into a pair of clubs.
She's also a biochemist. SHIELD agents are usually combat specialists or science specialists, but she is both.
I love how the show made it look like Jack was the villain until the end, but then it turned out he's just a dork that likes swords hahahahaha

Clint's wife was extremely chill about her husband spending time with a girl that looks like her younger version.

Can we talk for a moment hope amazing Alaqua Cox is as Maya? This is her first time acting, and she is electrifying. No wonder they gave her her own show.
In the comics, Echo was an assassin for Kingpin who had a very close relationship with Kingpin until he betrayed her in a manner similar to how he betrayed her here by causing the death of her father and blaming a hero for it.
The Marvel casting directors are magicians. It can't have been easy to find a young, female, deaf native American who could do martial arts.
The owl is a reference to a real owl who lived in the Christmas tree in Rockafeller Center. Same species and everything.
I love that telling Kate Bishop not to do anything stupid is a recipe for creating chaos.
Kingpin wears armored clothing.
In the comic books, they both use the same superhero name, just like Miles Morales and Peter Parker.

Clint and Kate are both Hawkeye together in the comics. They like share the codename and have the occasional gag about both calling each other Hawkeye.

That main guy who appears quite center as a civilian in the musical is a true Broadway actor named Adam Pascal. From the last time I saw he actually wasn’t mentioned in the cast but I met him about three years ago in a masterclass. Not only was he in the movie School of Rock (pretty great movie I recommend watching it) but he was in the original cast of RENT as well as the movie adaptation as his character. He’s an amazing actor and vocalist and I was shocked to see him in this show.
I thought his voice was familiar but couldn't find out who it was! Thank you so much for sharing :D

Kate doesn't really "replace" Clint in the comics, they just both will use the codename. It helped that Clint was actively Ronin when Kate took on the mantle in the books.
And in the MCU Clint Barton keeps trying to retire! 😆 Maybe he finally can now
@@kbaylor123 I'm guessing they'll do things like they have up to now with him, only now Kate is the mainline Hawkeye (and less reluctant and in the background), and Clint will be technically retired but showing up here and there for whatever reasons.
Kingpin probably didn't die. In the comics Echo shoots him too and he was blind for a while, that's probably what will happen and I think he'll come back in the Echo solo series that's already been confirmed

This was such a good way of showing how quickly the "snap" was for those who did get dusted. I was like what the....... Oh I get it now!
I like the touch that the LARPers had more authority when they were in their costumes. I mean, in that world you probably _would_ listen to people dressed like that in that kinda scenario
I mean after that much time with superheroes it makes sense. They also have more confidence which I found pretty adorable.

This was definitely my favourite of the Disney MCU shows and 3rd favourite of all the MCU shows with only Daredevil and Agents of SHIELD being the two I like more. (I know SHIELD's not technically canon any more but it was for most of the time it was airing which is why I still consider it a MCU show)
There's nothing to assume Shield isn't canon anymore.

Honestly I watched daredevil after Hawkeye because of people talking about him and by god was it amazing... Kingpin is one of the best characters marvel has ever put onscreen

for the record in a similar scene to wilson fisks supposed "death" in the comics, Echo shoots kingpin in the head, leading us to believe he's dead, only for him to turn up again, and it turns out he was blinded by the shot. This lines up with his last line in the show being "family doesn't always see eye to eye." so while not a guarantee, it's incredibly likely we haven't seen the last of the big guy.
That little picture of King Pin got me so hyped when I first watched this episode

Not necessarily, they’re soft rebooting him, so the Netflix series isn’t essential viewing. But I agree he should watch it
There will be a soft reboot for DD which mean could potentially be a bit diff from what we see on Netflix

The owl in the tree was a nod to the owl that was stuck in the Rockefeller center tree in NYC in 19. His name is Rocky. The owl just would not leave the dang tree.

I didn’t notice when I watched it the first time but Clint saying “let’s give ‘em hell” is a call back to age of ultron right before he dropped off black widow on the bike
Watching the Hawkeye Assembled documentary made me appreciate the musical way way more. And I loved how they made that the end credit scene for the series. The whole musical cast put in so much work and effort and that song is so catchy...😁. Can't wait to see your No Way Home reaction!
The Yelena Kate elevator scene was one of my favourite in the entire show easily
In the comics, Kate Bishop’s superhero name is Hawkeye. She doesn’t replace Clint, she just chooses that name out of respect for him.
These Hawkeye episodes lined up with the release of NWH. So we got the returns of both Daredevil and Kingpin in the same week. It was incredible.
Side note: glad to see you’re not falling for the “Kingpin death” lol. That scene was basically ripped straight from the comics (some minor alterations) where Echo (Maya) shoots Fisk right in the face and he becomes temporarily blinded from the incident. Hence the “eye to eye” line. He’s definitely going to be back
Next time we see Roblox Kingpin taking on Spider-Man and Daredevil. If that happens I’ll lose it lol.

yeah, shes going probably to replace him, at this point they are setting up the Young Avengers - we've seen so far Kate Bishop, the grandson of black super soldier, young loki, there are iron heart and ms marvel shows comming. Miles Morales is somewhere in the MCU.
Also Kingpin got shot by Maya in the comics right in the eyes, he goes blind and after that hell recover his sight.
But they're most likely gonna do the same team as it was in the comics (Billy, Tommy, Kate, Eli, Teddy, Kid Loki, Cassie & America Chavez ((and Noh-Varr & David/Prodigy for awhile)) bc the only one who needs to be intruduced is Hulkling
And it doesn't mean she has to "replace" him if she's Hawkeye. Comics have both of them as Hawkeye in the same title often enough. I think Hawkeye could step into a more advisory role for something based say on the West coast while Hawkeye is on the Young Avengers and it would be fantastic.

hawkeyes been one of my favorite characters since i seen him in the animated show “Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes” , i jus thought he was so cool and idk why. I was really happy that they decided to give him his own show… even if it means a passing of the mantle to a new hawkeye
I find it funy how so many people point out that no one really appreciated hawkeye in the early movies and thought he was weak when i loved him from the start and always pointed out how amazing he is. It's great so more people appreciating him

- So, Clint's wife, Laura Barton, is really SHIELD Agent 19, Bobbie Morse, the SHIELD super agent/superhero Mockingbird - Hawkeye's traditional wife/girlfriend in basically every continuity.
- Kate IS Hawkeye, but she doesn't replace Clint. They're BOTH Hawkeyes together.
- Jack Duqense is the supervillain The Swordsman, Swordsman and the supervillain Trick Shot were Clint and Barney Barton's mentors in the carnival where they grew up.
(Hawkeye's older brother, Barney Barton later became the new Trickshot, and was also Hawkeye's mentor before they joined the carnival. Trickshot is....uh...a bit flip floppy between hero and villain.)

I was surprised how much I liked the Hawkeye show... I'm mad I waited months to check it out.
The Kate and Yelena scenes are among my favourites in the entirety of the MCU (and that is saying A LOT). Can't wait for the next generation of Hawkeye & Black Widow team-ups. 👍🤘❤

You need to watch Daredevil if you want to understand how powerfull and terryfing Kingpin can be and there is even a new character (with a skull) that is really really good how they made him in the series
The appearance of AntMan in Rogers the musical is so hilarious. Some poor soul saw Endgame Scott in 2012 and thought 'makes sense'. 😂😂😂
Also, fun fact that in the comics for a while both Kate Bishop and Clint Barton go by the codename Hawkeye. I do think Kate will replace him eventually but not yet, I think they will both go by Hawkeye for a while.
I do love how Marvel ended out the absolutely SPECTACULAR year of content with the line "I can do this all day!" As if they're saying "Oh you think this was good? Just you wait. I can do this all day."

I actually got the Kingpin reveal spoiled for me so I was super pissed as usual but also obviously hyped. Hissed? Piped? Gotta work on the merging there. I appear to bear a curse of always getting major events of any movie or show spoiled to me in the least hype way possible immediately after it releases so I can't possibly manage to watch it in time. Still love the commitment to not recasting as many characters as possible.
I think Hawkeye is my favorite shows out of all of them, but I think Moonknight is going to go past it when it begins in the end of this month. I hope you are going to react to that too. ❤️

Thanks! I have to say, I've been waiting for this for a while. And again, I can only congratulate you on getting this far. And of course I understand you don’t have much time to watch such a “long” series like Daredevil, and I also know you’re watching a lot of things like that lately that take up a bit of time + you have to live a bit. And I also know I’ve recommended the series many times, and only check it out if you have free time and want to. I'm not holding a gun to your head to look at right away. And I only recommend it because it’s a series I know you would like, and not because I want to. Yes I want something from you to enjoy making a video, watching a particular movie / series, or anything in life :)

I love how different shows/movies show The Blip differently. In Far From Home it was played for laughs, in Wandavision it showed how horrifying and chaotic the return was and then this showed you how instant and jarring it was for someone who blipped. Crazy stuff man
“You can’t seriously be losing to her” first off, Maya’s a badass and I will not accept this slander. And second in the episode that showed her as a kid it sort of established (but it’s easy to miss) she can observe people fighting and then mimic their moves. A lot like Taskmaster, except they did Maya way better in live action

This was honestly a really fun show. I think people just hate on it cuz they like hating on Hawkeye. It was funny, emotional, wild over the top action. You know, typical MCU. Can’t wait for the NWH reaction, I already know it’s gonna be hype af!

They didnt make them canon, they've come out and said daredevil in no way home has a different story from the show, and since he amd kingpin have been in the mcu the whole time and we havent seen them means kingpin is different from the daredevil show as well, even if it's small, it's not canon, and that's confirmed

in actuality Vincent D'Onofrio (the actor for Kingpin) *has* come out and said Hawkeye Kingpin is the same as Daredevil Kingpin
add onto that all Defenders shows being added to D+ and the rumors the daredevil is getting a "reboot" that most people/leakers are agreeing will not be a full reboot

The guy who plays Kazi is actually a British actor. I saw him in an early episode of of the fantastic series, "Vera". He was much better using his natural voice.
I know it didn't feature in the reaction, but I thought it was cool that they had the easter egg for the watch belonging to Laura from her time as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent (alias 'Mockingbird') - I wonder if we'll ever get to see Laura suit up as Mockingbird in the MCU, or if it's just an easter egg.
Ngl, the version of Mockingbird (aka Bobbi Morse) from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was one of my favourite characters from the show - I'd love to see Seb's reaction to the show one of these days lol.
Fun fact: one of the black widow's in the beginning with short hair, she's from my college.

I loved this show. It was so much fun, and definitely improved by watching at Christmas. There seems to be some hate for Hawkeye out there, as not being a "proper superhero" but that's part of what makes his character so appealing ... it works in the same way Daredevil works. And Renner plays him brilliantly. I think it was a smart move to alter his comic character to drop the womanising, wise-cracker, and make him world-weary and more cynical. Then you add to that Steinfeld's Kate Bishop and you have such a great lead pair. They play off each other really well - draw out comparisons and differences. It's difficult to make a young, over-confident, competent, character likeable, but she does it effortlessly. Then add in Yelena, and what's not to like?
It's the only series I've watched twice, and it doesn't fade. It's so well made. Like Loki, I think the final episode is the weakest (which is why I'd say Wandavision is the best of the 5 shows) but even that has some great moments.

Telling you (or any reactor) to watch something first is so that you have the same attachment to the character that we do. It's essential because of the MCU itself. The MCU works so well because they do a tremendous job of making you care so much about these characters. But when it comes to something like THIS Kingpin coming along it's such a heavy nod to people who watched Daredevil rather that giving something to people who didn't. So your reaction was "oh that's cool" but to us it was a monumental moment because the Marvel Netflix shows mean so much to us and it's big deal that he's officially part of the MCU now (although those shows technically were to begin with).
Something worth noting is that Kate was being considerate to Clint in the last episode. He made it very clear that he wanted to get to his family.
And as much as she wanted to call herself his partner, she had to earn it. She finally did the moment Clint decided.
Next: NO WAY HOME! Can't wait!

That's quite the task people were expecting to watch all of Daredevil before watching this or No Way Home. You can't JUST watch Daredevil if you want the proper experience. Gotta make sure you're watching in the correct order with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Punisher.

I don't want you to watch Daredevil because you need to watch it before NWH. I desperately want you to watch Daredevil because it is a fantastic tv show and I like seeing your reactions to things that I also love, that way my love for them doubles :) The writing, the casting, the depths of the characters, and the show's execution as a whole are one of a kind. Also, you always make me laugh so thx for that, love you :)
Finally, someone who loves the "Rogers - The Musical" as much as I do. Joss Whedon's already done two quality musicals, I say give him a shot at it (since he also did the first two Avengers).
