As a Pistons fan, this hire was better than Monty trust me. JB will at least act like he has a fucking pulse on this team. Monty deadass was that he biggest reason we only won 14 games. We have enough young players to consolidate into picks. The pistons got more talent than people know

We lost 5-10 games from starting KILLIAN over Ivey ALONE
People don't realize how many games we lost in the last 5 mins because of Monty's bone headed rotations
I just had to edit this post and say that we lost 5-10 games alone because of starting Killian Hayes
Then we lost another 30 games because Ivey was starting 🤷🏾♂️
JB makes 0 adjustments in game he relies on a teams talent to bail him out
The roster was bad but Monty made them all time bad by his rotations, all bench lineups, no structure on offense or defense, no passion or fight from the coach (didn’t see him argue a call more than a couple times all season).
Monty did not want to coach! He was trying to get fired from the jump!

@@kevinjackson7539 Yes it's a rebuild which means prospect development. The pistons need to remember Small markets build through the draft. No one will ever come here unless we draft guys and develope them. We have the best shot coordinator and a coach who developed young guys.Which in no stage did the pistons select. Every year they said we are going to be competitive. Forget developing our young guys we will win now. And in Troy's 4 years no development or roster cohesion has taken place.
@@Heru313 l was rocking the Pistons before Isiah got there but after that last chip in 04 it has been a rocket ship to the bottom. They have $50 million in cap space and will probably do zero to make that team better it’s ridiculous and the fans deserve better. I would have grabbed Sam because he’s hungry he’s been waiting fifteen years for an opportunity and he’s going to be cheaper vs a guy who just got fired from a much better team.
Cassell must be horrible on interviews. He should go to college if he wants to prove himself.

Yea If u watch how monte coach this team he gave games away the pistons young core got talent to make the play in if they actually develop a defense culture n 3 shooting get better n i believe that’s coaching will play a good role since they so young

25 wins is success next year. Cunningham showing real growth in leadership, shooting, and playmaking. Give Ivey meaningful playing time as well. Stress defense and effort on both ends of the floor.

This hiring sucks. It sucks because it’s like when the Lions sucked. This isn’t about hiring one or two guys. It’s an entire house cleaning and attitude shift that’s needed that just isn’t happening.

People love under dog climb to success stories. But how many people give them a hand or touch their back during the low point. These 3 tv host clearly show what kind of characters they are, the extra, who just pass by from the screen. Pistons was a mess last couple of years, no doubt. It was bad coaching, Bojan, Joe Harris and Monte Morris their veteran SHOOTERs that were brought in for spacing were hurt most of the season(love how ppl forget that) , they WANTED to trade Killian Hayes(whos out the league now)but Monty STARTED him over Jaden Ivey, oh Ausar Thompson started out averaging a double double and whoa..Monty benched him for Kevin Knox, like most Pistons fans watched and suffered through the crazy Rotations and all bench line ups while stagnating the younger players development. At the beginning of the season some ppl had Detroit picked as a play in team... they just gave up and that's BAD COACHING...PERIOD.

As a Cavs fan take it from me, he's not a good player development coach. Just a great culture setter. Pistons won't be a bottom team anymore but don't count on JB turning their young pieces into world eaters.
