The last winning coach they had was Al Groh, they missed the playoffs by a game, and he resigned after one year in the job. That year was 2000, 24 years ago. Rex Ryan is the only coach with a winning playoff record there since Ewbank won the SB with Namath, and they fired Ryan.

I’m a Patriots fan and I really expected the Jets to go after someone like JJ McCarthy. I still cannot believe they are banking their whole season on a fragile QB. Yes Aaron Rogers was amazing probably still is but he cannot take hits like he used to. He does not take care of his body like a psycho Tom Brady did. Tom Brady was crazy about health. The Bears take by nick is excessive but the difference is the best team in that division is the Lions who before last year weren't amazing in recent history. The Bills have won the AFC East many times in recent history. Also the AFC is loaded with great QBs (Aaron hasn't been one recently) where as the NFC is definitely not.
