Castillo is my favorite character in the series.
They sure loved those glass blocks back in the day.
Glass blocks look good in this scene. They were widely used in the Soviet Union too, but didn't look nearly as good, for whatever reason.
Yes they are used all over this show, including Castillo's office
Epic af
It was the art deco scene. A lot of homes had them in the 80s in south florida
@@patrickm6012Agreed: It was considered high-style art deco. Very expensive
I had the honor of personally meeting Dr. Haing S. Ngor. He was our keynote speaker for a psychology convention in Los Angeles circa 1986. He told us his personal story of surviving the Khmer Rouge camps. It was a chilling story to say the least. R.I.P. Dr. Ngor
Castillo here suddenly pointed his gun blindly is out character. He'd have never done that
@@jefftotheleftt I read they suspected it was Khmer Rouge loyalists given the execution style of killing. Point blank. No items taken. So tragic
This Jan Hammer piece here is a masterpiece of tension and intrigue. It plays the third character so well you'd think the music was going to jump out at Castillo as soon as Tran stepped through the gate. I absolutely love this piece. Its not on any Jan Hammer recordings.
Don't think any of this stuff is available other than within the MV ep's, but his amazing work with TMO in Central Park, NYC from 1973 is on the Between Nothingness and Eternity album and the follow up unreleased tracks that may be even better. It will tear your head off and poor pure energy down your neck.
Utterly brilliant.
The Vice Squad got it wrong this time. The ex-detective from 'Nam was NEVER the threat. It was always The Savage.
This was a great episode...love it. Thanks for the video
Brilliant, it has all the classic MV looks and feels.
beyond bloody brilliant again ... a MV trademark !!!
One of my favorite Jan Hammer pieces 😎
among a multitude !!!

Michael Wright

Ευχαριστώ πολύ από Ελλάδα!!!🙋♥️🇬🇷
Great clip choices.
❤ miami vice c'est ma série préférée depuis longtemps ❤
The idea for the look and tone of the show originated from NBC Exec Brandon Tartikoff whom, after seeing the success of the cable music network MTV, pitched an idea of cops who looked like they'd just walked out of an MTV video. "Miami Vice" was the result.
I could watch these all day.
Great episody Miami vice Vietnam war
I like interiors of 80s luxury houses.
Jan Hammer, Castillio.
I remember seeing some still images of this episode from the original broadcasts or the HS releases that someone posted on the Miami Vice fan message board. The shot of Castillo/Olmos walking passed the glass block wall originally had a very deep blue tint to it. Could be tape degeneration, or it could be that a lot of the color to the show was removed from the dvds and blu-rays.
The Blu ray isn't a very accurate depiction of the show. There's tons of issues with the color correction. Shows never as vivid as it should be.
That's one big *** revolver in the Lts hand !!! A . 357 Magnum !!!
actor from the Killing Fields
What's the Episode called of this great TV series 🍊🍍🍋🚨😎🏖️⛱️🌅
Savage ..was a macsog..man😉
Why is Ray Nathan always acting up?
And yet it is true part he played as they did.
sure maybe he was a NVA, but friendships are not build on politics and everyone has a right for justice
I feel the the tactical advisers should of had the Asian guy check the chamber for ammo status when he picked that gun up off the ground to use.
what??? he picked up the k-bar knife. he used it to kill the savage's handler in the next scene
@@NBUltra187 Incorrect, at 1:27 his hands are empty and he reaches down and picks up the revolver.
Why bother warning him ahead of time by firing shots?
It was to warn any potential victims that a guy is sneaking around, trying to murder them.
@@Pewling ~ Oh, I see. Castillo couldn't just have the other guy watch for people outside, while he went in and caught him off guard?
earlier in the episode, it was stated more than once the guy killed vc's in their sleep
@@Deborahtunes harder to kill if they're awake. It's just tactical intelligence
Florida is very dry.. no coke
... Hate the changing of colour-code in season 3...went downhill from there...i loved the show, still do, but the classic vice was season one and two
