Rock on Bro! I’ve been reloading for 38 years and I’m still learning. Good video and love your channel!

Repeatability/Consistency with precision in your process from the operator to the components is very crucial to whatever sample size you’re shooting. Short term vs long term aggregates.
    That’s just quality control.

Keep your head up, Alabama Reloader. UA-cam experts experience, Gut feeling and trusting what you're seeing makes decisions. Truthfully some of my best performance shooting ie taking game was with imperfect rifles or bullet growing up we never had the best top of the line stuff we had to make do with what we had to work with so the individual compensated or adjust him self to make up the difference. And luck is always a good thing. Keep driving forward buddy

I completely agree with you. For Eastern Whitetail (in my case Georgia) I'd take a standard duplex style reticle any day of the week.

I have a few bdc scopes. I have gone to a mpbr method for the ease of use.

I use a combination of MPBR and BDC reticles now. Don’t trust the holdups, as mentioned. There is an alternative to using a chronograph though. I zero for 200-250 yards, shoot 300 and 400 yards, measure the drop, and back calculate the velocity to figure out the holdover points. It’s worth it to me living out west, as I’ve taken big game out to about 350 yards, and have confidence out to 450-ish if I need to make a follow up shot. He’s definitely right though, most people aren’t going to take the time to get the holdover points dialed for their rifle and load. Even using a chronograph, you still need to prove it in the field before using it on an animal.

Having said that, as the kids are beginning, they have normal duplex crosshairs to learn on.

I believe the bdc works best for muzzleloaders than a rifle

Man I just walked past a rebarreled Ruger MkII in a .243…. Looked sharp.

All good points I been working up a couple 243 loads with the 85 grain tsx and 100 grain interlock. But the rifle shoot good with Norma whitetail. I’ve shot some blue box federal when I was breaking it in to get brass. And the Barnes load was shooting about an inch and a half.so when it was putting the factory ammo in tight clovers I thought the 100 grain interlock would group better but it was the same as the Barnes. Blows my mind cause my handloads should be more precise.do you usually find better accuracy at lower powder charges? I usually use middle of the road. Then I work up to max. Because I want my hunting loads as powerful as I can make them.
