    The Morninglord's Radiance and the Bless buff that you can get at the Crèche in the first act last until your next long rest. So as long as you don’t take any long rests you can keep these buffs for the entire second act. The game only forces a long rest after you finished the Crèche when you have Lae'zel in your party/camp.

    can I ask where you're getting the extra damage buffs from? so the radiant is morning lord's radiance, I assume the psychic is psionic overload but I didn't spot you casting it, it might be something else, I know there is the circlet that lets you do extra psychic damage when you are concentrating but you aren't wearing it, the thunder is phalar aluve shriek, but then the fire damage as well? I thought it was the gloves that dammon makes for you but you aren't wearing them XD
    Amazing achievement btw, this was the only boss on honour mode that really made me think I was done for, and I had my whole party of 4!

      Yes, the radiant damage comes from the Morninglord's Radiance.
      I'm not using any Illithid Powers. The psychic damage comes from the Strange Conduit Ring, which is the ring that lets you deal an extra 1d4 psychic damage when you are concentrating on a spell. I don't know why you think I'm not wearing it.
      I have 2 instances of thunder damage. One of them is indeed from shriek, but this extra damage is actually a type of extra damage that you won't see displayed on your weapon and will only be added to your damage after the attack. The thunder damage you see displayed on my weapon comes from the Drakethroat Glaive. The Drakethroat Glaive has the Draconic Elemental Weapon ability/spell, which lets you turn a weapon of your choice into an elemental weapon. This weapon will then receive a +1 bonus to Attack and Damage Rolls and deals an additional 1d4 elemental damage of your choice.
      And last but not least the fire damages is from the Flawed Helldusk Gloves, the gloves Dammon craft for you. You probably thought I'm not wearing them, because in my prebuff phase I'm still wearing the Gloves of the Automaton to get advantage on my weapon attacks. But right after I used the buff, I switch to the Flawed Helldusk Gloves. I switch to them via my hotbar, I placed them there before I started prebuffing for quicker access (0:27-0:30).
      Yea, he and Raphael are by far the hardest boss fights in the game. Myrkul is arguably even stronger than Raphael simply because you have to fight him before you reached max level and most of the top gear can only be accessed, once you reached the third act.

      @@SleepingDog. oh my mistake about the strange conduit ring, I got it mixed up with circlet of psionic revenge so when I saw you had another headpiece on I assumed that it couldn't be where the psychic damage was coming from.
      thanks for the info, definitely going to give all of these buffs to my archer on my next run!

    Absolutely insane. But why did you not use an elixir of Cloud Giant Strength?

    • @SleepingDog.
      @SleepingDog.  Місяць тому

      I did, but I already had it active that's why you didn't see me drink one while I was prebuffing.

      You have the Hill Giant Strength active not the Cloud one tho, or am i missing something?

    why not use Ne'er misser? It uses force damage and bypasses his resistance

    • @SleepingDog.
      @SleepingDog.  Місяць тому

      Because the base damage of Ne'er Misser is lower than the of the Titanstring Bow. And combined with Titan Weapon ability, if you use the strength potions to get the +5 (21 STR) or +8 (27 STR) damage boost, your damage will still be higher despite his resistance.

    • @user-wo9jj6ii6t
      @user-wo9jj6ii6t Місяць тому +2

      @@SleepingDog. Ne'er misser - 4.5 avg + 5 dex = 9.5 force. Titan - 5.5 avg + 5 dex + 5 str = 15.5/2 = 7.75.
      Once you add sharpshooter, Ne'er misser is even better as the +10 makes it, 19.5 force vs. 12.75 piercing.

    • @SleepingDog.
      @SleepingDog.  Місяць тому +2

      @@user-wo9jj6ii6t You forgot that Myrkul hast the Magical Plate (-2) passive feature, so the damage is actually even lower.
      Ne'er Misser - 4.5 avg + 5 DEX = 9,5 -2 = 7,5 force
      Titanstring (21 STR) - 5,5 avg + 5 DEX + 5 STR = 15,5/2 = 7,75 -2 = 5,75
      Titanstring (27 STR) - 5,5 Avg + 5 DEX + 8 STR = 18,5/2 = 9,25 -2 = 7,25
      But you are actually right, the avg damage output of Ne'er Misser is actually higher than that of the Titanstring Bow. Especially if you don’t have the Elixir of Cloud Giant Strength for the 27 STR. But still, I think I still prefer the Titanstring in this scenario simply because of the short range the Ne'er Misser has and I already had trouble keeping Myrkul in range with the Titanstring. However, I completely agree that Ne'er Misser is clearly the better choice in your normal build where you have all the good stuff, since you can just 1 turn him.

      @@SleepingDog. hey I also wanted to ask how you got your con saves to be so good. I kept thinking you were gonna lose haste and go lethargic, but you kept succeeding your saving throws

    • @SleepingDog.
      @SleepingDog.  Місяць тому

      @@user-wo9jj6ii6t I have 16 Con (+3) and since I started with the fighter class, I also have proficiency in constitution saving throws (+4). Then I get +1 from the Cloak of Protection and +1 from the Dark Justiciar Helmet. All of this gives me a total of +9 on my constitution saving throws. Additionally, the Dark Justiciar Helmet also gives me +1 to saving throws against spells, which are pretty much all of Myrkul's attacks.

    how you can eat meat without action

    • @SleepingDog.
      @SleepingDog.  Місяць тому +2

      This is the cooked dwarven meat from the first act that you can loot in the goblin camp. As Dark Urge you can eat this meat to heal yourself and you can do this without using an action or bonus action point. It's a unique interaction for Dark Urge as no other character can use this meat.
