Chef Lola is a beautiful African Queen! I have to tell her how important her channel is to me. I am a Diaspora African and from my DNA, I am from Nigeria, though I have never been to the place. So her channel helps me reconnect. I have cooked several of her recipes including this one. I love the food and so does my family. This dish is my family favorite, my favorite is the okra stew. Her recipes are easy to follow and so good. I feel like a real Nigerian man when I cook this food. Tonight, we had this recipe and I cooked pounded yam with it!

I will make this for sure! The roasted veggies clinched it for me. Roasting red peppers and having on hand enables you to be so creative with many dishes. I just at a roasted pepper on top of half bagel with cream cheese.

Love your videos! As I'm a 'heat wimp' now=a=days I'm going to have to dial back the capsaicin dramatically! This is what I love about soups and stews, they can be tweaked according to personal preferences. Please keep providing your videos! You explain everything so nicely the recipes are easy to follow.

Lola thanks so much for your videos. I dont comment much on you tube but I feel you deserve a medal for your presentations and easy to cook recipes. I have successfully made your sweet bread and also the meat pie couple of times. As someone commented, you stir up the desire to try something new. I want to try this recipe ( to make my neighbor jealous haaahaaa) but I usually have my peppers in the freezer. Will I be able to achieve this result if I use a defrosted limp peppers or what is your suggestion? Thank you for your good work!!

Lola we have this dish in Austria aswell, its traditiotional we call it "Paprika Chicken" we only skip the chili, curry and ginger... also youre version with the roasted veggies and spices is much more refined! our traditional sidedish for this stew is called "spezle" its basicly a thick batter of eggs, flour, milk and salt, we cook it drop by drop in hot water and the result are little nugets!
