Hi guys, I loved both Queen Charlotte and Legends and Latte to bits. I would suggest the common theme is learning to love yourself and what a loving relationship is about. You'd be surprised at how many people cross genres for the right kind of story 😊
Great discussion of Queen Charlotte, a Bridgerton story! I do believe there was depth to older Charlotte but it was implicit, in looks and moments. It felt very truthful to me that as an older person not talking about things except surface matters like gossip can be a coping mechanism for you.

Queen Charlotte was always a princess and treated well and although intelligent is just unaware how other people of color are treated in her new home/country. Lady Danbury is a little older than Charlotte and knows how it is in society as not just a woman but a black woman. Lady Danbury doesn’t know any different way of being until she sees Charlotte. The upper class in those times don’t spend much time with their children. Violet is unique in the Bridgerton series because she actually likes spending time with her children. In those times children are seen not heard.

Hey! I really appreciate your thoughts on the series. If I may make a suggestion, your audio levels could use some adjustment. It is hard to hear Jordan compared to Kayla. I had to turn my headphones all the way up to hear him. Then when the end card music starts, it’s too loud. A few quick changes would greatly improve the listening experience. Thanks!

The relationship between lady Danbury and lord ledger was a necessary evil. She needed to feel what a true loving physical relationship was like. She never really had that! I don’t think she or lord ledger were really in love. It was just mutual admiration that turned into something physical. In the long run, it probably would not have worked. Adolphs proposing to her was also a necessary evil! No one had ever proposed to her before.

Ok the Lady Danbury hate here is bothering me a little. It was shown how rude, dismissive, and frankly abusive he was to her. She was sold as a broodmare to an old man. Forced to birth his children. She was right to feel relief, and freedom.
And most people of that time (and level in society) didn't really tend to their children, they had servants do that. She had a title, given to her husband, and titles then were only passed through the male line, thus pushing forth the eldest son. She had a duty to secure that line, as well as the line of the other newly titled people.

I agree with the guy on here, (sorry I miss the name) lady D, did not have an affair, lord Ledger did, and he was a coward for breaking it up by bringIng his kid with him the very next day after he slept with her, just like a man. Suddenly he has a conscience after he slept with her, smh.

Ok. So you relate to how Mr. Julian Fellowes writes female characters, whereas I relate to how Ms. Shonda Rhimes writes female characters. Btw, Lady Danbury needs her own spin off.
