As a manufacturing engineer who has seen too many automotive prints of splined shafts and gears with ridiculous tolerances, I love seeing you make splines with a grinder 👍🏻
Ethan cutting splines with a grinder, into an old snow mobile a arm, that’s being recycled as a steering pivot arm, on a power wheels vehicle, is probably the most Grind Hard thing, EVER.
You guys are so lucky to be in on the beta testing for the Arcdroid, I'm signed up for the early bird and can't wait. what a game changer. Keep up the good work.
This thing looks lights out. Saw some random yt ad and follow the progress. If I needed a plasma table this would be the unit I would buy. Thanks guys and more please! Make some merch I'm buying!
I just signed up for the Super Early Bird deal with shipping estimated for January. This video must be doing a lot because there were 15 spots available when I signed up, now an hour later there are on 5.
Generally, most of their down time on projects comes from having to wait on parts. Which is understandable considering all of their builds are custom creations. That's why they have to bounce from one project to another so often. Otherwise they wouldn't be making a video while waiting for things to ship. This one seems like it will go faster though due to them just cutting down a fully functional ATV instead of building a frame from scratch around a power train from something random.
It is great seeing you guys paying attention to suspension geometry and proper verbiage.. All knowledge that comes from Stock Car racers nationwide for decades..
Holy Crap that is the coolest CNC I have ever seen and the price is off the hook. I'm not even a big fabricator or mechanic and I want one of these super bad. Very VERY cool guys. I predict the that tool will be on every man's workbench in the next couple years that is by far the coolest piece of technology/tool that I've seen since the 3D printer or the CNC machine itself wow way to go guys that is an amazing tool!
That arcdroid is a brilliant idea. So compact. I'd maybe even mount it on a piviot, so you could flip it under the table out if the way when it's not being used.....just an idea.
That Barbie camper van is rediculously awesome! You should put some tinted windows in it and make it look more like a class A camper! Add head lights, tail lights, a light bar on top. That would be the icing on the cake!
Just watching this and I can't get over how fast this one is coming together, it's beautiful.... I really need to find like minded people like this because I want to build one¡!
My older sister had the Barbie dream camper when we were kids. The one that was a play set for barbies. I was always mad I couldn’t ride in it... so I appreciate what y’all are doing here. Incredibly cool to see what I wanted done so many years ago.
I really like the little plasma arm... so smart to have trace. That is really a nice feature and I look forward to seeing you incorporate this tool into your workflow. I'm a cnc guy so I can appreciate the value of this feature. So sick!
For your "couplings" etc. stick an end mill in the lathe chuck and use the cross slide as a table (you might need to bolt something on to it). I think this is std practice for milling on a lathe.. Look up 'milling on a lathe' :) for more..
@@NotJo4Ever13 I've not tried it.. some say it's difficult to do a good job without a collet Chuck or whatever but, if you don't have a miller or milling attachment and you take shallow cuts it should beat an angle grinder.. I think you just bolt a vice where the tool post goes and go crazy.. (crazy slow)
So cool, guys! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how this one comes along. Please don't lower it much, guys! This one's already a perfect mini-monster without cutting it down any.
That little plasma cutter is SICK! So perfect for people with limited shop space, wow! You should see if they'll give you one for a giveaway to really hype up the product and sell a bunch of merch, too. 🤷♂️
7:13 theres a easy way to lock those sleeves in place. drill a small hole on the frame pipes the sleeves go in, then tag weld the sleeves trough that hole. that way they dont move when placing the other part in and it gives little better support for those inner pipes. other way would be is adding keying on the sleeves but thats more work and adds point of failure in the frame
They're getting welded. If you want more support drill through and add a roll pin, and then weld. but like you said that sacrifices structural integrity. Jest weld it like he's doing and call it a day. No need to drill and weld or mess with keys 🤷🏻♂️
You can adjust the amount of Ackerman By adjusting the length of the center link I felt like I was there with you and you were doing what I was thinking killer build makes me want to do something like this
I'm a little lit right now, but I think you've got it backwards. If the tie rods were in the front, that'd be how it works. But behind the axle the center link would need to be longer and the idler arms tilted outwards. He probably doesn't want to do that because he's steering from one side and it would turn at a faster ratio one direction.
I forget just how good your channel is… you are both just awesome… it was great to see that you are showing the power wheels community builds as well. Thanks guys.
First time he did that it was a jaw dropping moment for me! I was like "He did it! The Crazy son of a bitch Did it!" bahahaha splines have been a big problem for me in the past on some stuff. It was super nice to find a remedy.

You guys should look at using the front cargo rack from the quad as a roof rack, could look really cool on this mini monster truck! Could maybe even toss a spare tire on it if it doesn't change the center of gravity too much
That plasma cutter is great but honestly for a few hundred more you could get a Langmuir pro with a water table that’s way bigger. Great idea but unless it comes way down in price no dice. Love the build though awesome stuff.
This build is going to be epic when it's done, I find it funny how different countries call (what you call overlanding) in Australia we call touring or others call it adventuring.
