They pay UA-cam tremendous money to scatter ads, much like political parties do. Obviously they want the unaware to watch their vids. It should be expected with the times we are in now, the Bible predicts this. Especially sound Christian channels.
Just to reply to your enquiry - thankfully no sctlgy popups or ads - occasional 'alternative' christianesque (not sound doctrine) appears. Thankfully i can quite easily discern and pass by - sadly some cannot & do not. MW is on the 'sound' list - thanks MW - keep up the thorough exegesis.
I myself once had a mother and her three children move in with me in a strictly room mate status. The Church called us on the carpet. We immediately had some in the "Do not judge!" Camp jump to our defense. My reaction was to tell these people to step aside and not involve themselves in this matter. I then approached the Pastor and explained it was a room mate arrangement. The house was physically divided into my area and her and her kids area. One example was what was the master bedroom bathroom had two entrances. One to the master bedroom and the other to the converted patio room which was my room. The door to the master bedroom was sealed in order so that it was inoperable. I then invited the Pastor to come over and personally inspect the living arrangement and make suggestions. He felt no need to do so and this arrangement worked for 5 years without any inappropriate behavior. I praised the Church for its diligence and discipline instead of hiding behind "Do not judge!"
This is so hitting home, thank you for confirming what I already know, but don't follow. Pray for me to repent properly and for anyone else who needs it too. Thank you.
"For God so loved the world that, any..I can do all things. Right?" This guy always cracks me up at least once per videos. You are doing an amazing job sir, thank you. Sound doctrine explained in a relaxed manner yet without complaisance.
I am so glad that I found you. I tried to become a true Christian for some time now, but no matter how hard I tried, I felt that I could not achieve my goal until I listened to you. As a catholic, I was confused, so many things did not make sense, did not understand what was told to me, at school and at church. My questions were not answered in a way that I would feel at peace, the contrary, most of my life I lived in fear that I would go to hell when I die. Not allowed to read the bible. I heard of Sunday School from the Protestant Church, but we were not even allowed to speak to a person from another religious "faith". The only way to go to Haven is being a catholic. Only 5 years ago, at the age of 70, that I started to learn about Christianity outside the Catholic Church and that was an eye opening, I should say that it changed my life. But until recently, I did not really know enough . Everyday, I am learning more about the Lord Jesus, his teaching, and how to live life to achieve "peace" with God. It is an amazing feeling to not live in fear anymore; a big part of my stress came from not be able to deal or to accept the beliefs, the rules and regulations of the Catholic Church. I understood even more when I started to read about the historic of the Catholic Church and from listening to people who know about the bible. Many thanks and God bless you.
I was a catholic too, with the same confusion and unanswered questions too. I cried to God to show me His way. I felt a sinner. I felt lost. That's where I received my salvation. I met christian students at my university (in Bruxelles) and they told me about the Gospel, the sin of men and the death on the cross and resurrection of Jesus-Christ as only way to be saved. I have accepted this divine present, received forgiveness for my sins and decided to follow Jesus as my Lord. The best decision and move ever. Glory to the Lord. Peace with Him. My search had dured 7 years. It was 37 years ago. God is good. May He bless you abundantly with His grace and peace.
Sorry you fell away from the true church. You actually walked away from the eucharist? So did so many of Jesus's deciples in John 6:66. You walked away from your messiah and God. I'm sure God will forgive you, since you unfortunately were taught the wrong gospel.
@@thereseservais924 Hope you find happiness in your error. Remember the worst thing about protestant belief is the demoniic doctrine of total depravity. Truly a terrible belief that negates any human accomplishments. You insult God by saying he made garbage. Sorry you turned away from your lord in the eucharist.
@@bill19441 I do communion like Jesus told us, in his memory. I walk away from a church that created dogmas that were not from Jesus Christ's teaching and the bible. I follow Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour. The true Church is what Jesus Christ established when He came to this world. At that time, there were many rules that were not in pleasing God...that's why God sent his only Son to teach us the right way, not what men invented and created: dogmas that are not from the Word of God ( the bible, the teaching of God). Follow God's commandments, Jesus Christ's teaching; love God and your brothers and sisters, repent your sins, pray and glorify God. I strongly recommend that you go back at Jesus's time and his teachings. The basic of the catholic church is there but the additions are not from God. They are from men. God already forgave my sins, it is not your place to say that I went away from the catholic church and God will forgave me for that...I could say the same thing about your beliefs, but I wouldn't be a Christian. I am not judging you, only God will. So don't judge others...It's not what God want. I'll pray for you to find in your heart and soul the wisdom to respect others. It's not for you to tell or to dictate the right way to be Christian. Do your own studies of the bible and see what you'd discover. You don't have to be "catholic" to please God; you have to follow his rules. God bless you and your family. No need to argue my statement, I am at peace with God.
I really got tired of my ex telling me not to judge anyone or any thing. This is a very well thought out explanation of "judging". Many thanks for this.
The ones that tell you not to judge are the one's who are judging. In short.. It's a power play by telling you that you should follow them as the dictator of judgements in your life. They are the judge.
People kept telling my not to judge others. But part of me knew this wasn’t what God was saying in His word. Thank you so much for finally making it clear what Paul is really saying in these verses.
Father, forgive me for my thought life. I have abused Your grace more than I want to confess. Help me to live in a way that glorifies You and blesses You. Help to lay down my selfishness. Let me to decrease that You might increase within me.
I often say " well the world will end one day, either by Jesus returning or when you die, then it will end for you, and you have a window of mercy that is open right now but one day it will close, and only leave justice, so take the window of mercy while you can, while the window is open.".
Mike, I'm loving this verse by verse exposition of Romans!! It's been challenging, convicting and refreshing, all at the same time. Your teaching style is one that resonates deeply with me. God has truly gifted you. Thank you for sharing your gift, and I'm looking forward to continuing in this series. God bless you!
@@simonegodwin I think we all are clouded by our own sin, but I think it means when we are HONEST with ourselves about ourselves THEN we have the right heart to confront others about their faults. Too often we lie to ourselves, and that's why we are told to "commune with your own heart." I ask myself often whether I am being honest with myself about certain things in my life because I realized that I can't be real with God if I am pretending to be something I am not. The Bible calls it "hypocrisy." I learned it is too easy to convince myself I am something I am not and that it affects my communication with God and with others. Usually, other people see right through us anyway, so I might as well be real! It is actually very freeing!
Grateful to have Found this. Struggling with Christians living in sin because we are living in the dispensation of grace and when you point out that the Bible calls this/that sin you are called judgemental. Thank you for the much needed clarification.
@Mike Winger Thanks so much for your teachings, have learned so much. Since the day I heard you say we should desire to know more of the Bible, I've been refreshed by watching your content as it does exactly that-teach more of the Bible. This is not common. Praise the Lord for your ministry and May God bless you! Grace and Peace.🤗 from South Africa
This really helped to clear up confusion on this passage and judging evil deeds. Ephesians 5:11 also supports this teaching. Thank you. All glory to God.
This sermon has given me so much to think upon today... Thank you for all the work you put into this thought provoking message Pastor Mike Winger, Excellent Food!
Thanks for these videos Mike. I greatly appreciate the work you put into them. 👍. You're doing a great job for God and for many of us who want to know more about the Bible, salvation and about Jesus.
Thank you for explaining so simply. And thanks for making this video to share with anyone who needs more guidance about Jesus and God. You are a blessing to me
I appreciate your ministry, Mike. You are able to bring to light the context of scripture and what is meant by the author. It also helps that you explain it in a way that's easy to understand. Thank you!
Romans has been considered "the masterpiece of the Gospel." I read it constantly! It is one of my very favorite books of the Bible! Galatians is probably my second favorite. I believe that if we don't have the Gospel right, everything else we think we know is utterly useless!
I just got myself a HCSB version and use it along with my KJV (after watching your video on different Bible Translation, "Can I Trust Bible Translations: Evidence for the Bible...") This has made study time SO MUCH more enjoyable and easier. I can dive way deeper into the word for word / phrase for phrase meanings of God's Word. Thank you so much for that video. I'm very glad I saw that one before starting this study on Romans.
My old roommate, a self proclaimed “cafeteria Catholic,” would get mad at me for “judging” people (something I didn’t even do half the time she got upset with me) and show me verses about judging. When she showed me the Matt 7 one, but got mad when I explained it was about hypocrisy. Oh the irony of the situation.
I like to pair Matthew 7:5 with His teaching in John 7 (easy to remember, both 7s). John 7:24 English Standard Version 24 (A)Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.”
And of course, 1 Corinthians 5 and 6. Especially 6, where it says that the saints will judge the world and angels. 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 English Standard Version 2 Or do you not know that (A)the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? 3 Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!
OOhh, I have you marked in my bookmarks!.. I have found another great teacher.. You are correct in this teaching.. so many things I dont understand as to the thinking of what we believe or dont believe.. I know number one is that Christians simply arent reading and dont know the word of God and that is the biggest problem today, but the next biggest thing to me is that we dont even use common sense in what we think sometimes. Anyway, God Bless you and I thank God He has led me to yet another great teacher . How desperately we need them! They are few in number!
So Romans 2 is a powerful argument against the "my truth" people. "My truth" doesn't exist, but the truth according to GOD (which he placed in our conscience) does, and that is "the truth."
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (August 5), Romans 2:1-12 was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. It was entitled "God's Justice." The hymn, "Great God, Your Love Has Called Us Here," written by Brian A. Wren, is a good hymn to compliment this Scripture, regardless of denomination. I see that this was posted on February 27, 2017. That was exactly one week after my mother entered the Church Triumphant.
Great teaching brother! I'm glad you touched on Matthew 7 (the plank in my own eye). You stated that when we remove our own plank then we can see clearly to HELP our brother. That's the problem with the majority of judging others. We have no intention of helping our brothers and sisters when we judge. We just want to judge and move on. I don't know if passing judgement in this way helps us feel better about ourselves or helps us ignore our short comings... I also notice a lot of judging comes by way of talking to other people about who we're judging and not bringing our concerns to the person we're "judging". When we judge with no desire to help a person, I see this as wrong. Especially when we judge someone while talking to others. Then it's just gossip. I believe that if we are going to judge, we should be able to help where we can. To pass judgement without the willingness to help our brothers and sisters is in no way moral. I understand that sometimes we can only give advice and any help is shunned but even advice is some form of help. Praying for the brother or sister should be a no brainer. But instead, we judge and move on. (I'm guilty of this all too often).
Damn. Here i am trying to tell my folks good stuff (trying to figure out what point to post) but there are so. Many. Dude 3 years later this is still gold.
God bless you and this sermon. I could explain every detail of how this touched me but honestly I couldn't fit it into one comment. Please always remember the work you are doing for God.
I’m not getting any ad interruptions yet, but this is just my first time watching/listening to Mike Winger. Thank you sharing this message - this is right on time for our #romOne16 Bible Study. We are just finishing with Romans 2. 🙏🏻😊❤️💕✨ May God richly bless your life and ministry.✝️❤️💕✨
It is very clear, in any translation I've seen. The distortion is -- I am convinced -- a willful one, intended only to silence moral judgements. Somehow the distortion got spread to innocent ears and was taken as a legitimate philosophical argument, but I don't believe anyone with a lick of wisdom (understanding of human nature grounded in life experience) can't easily see through it, even if not a Christian believer.
I have listened to many of your teaching videos, and I am blessed with your interpretations of scriptures and your pleasant spirit in sharing your insights has been edifying. I like the many contrasts you use to show your understanding of the word of God. Grace and peace to you brother. jeff...
Thanks for this, Mike. I'm preaching on this chapter tonight, and what you said here is very enlightening. I have chosen to simply focus on verse 7 tonight - the path of the righteous and the promise of the afterlife. But what you say here is really applicable and true as well. The truth of the Gospel and the truth about God is ofteb paradozical - there is always judgement and mercy contrasted. So even if the chapter is quite harsh and judgemental - but rightfully so - it's not a coincidence that Paul chose to intermingle it with the message of mercy. It's hard to know which to emphasize at times, but it's important to account for both I just found your channel, and m looking forward to seeing more content from you.
yes thats great inside Mike Thank you so much I almost whole of this week trying to explain this chapter in Nepali Speaking people in the world and yah I think I got it thanks once again
We are not to judge in sense to put someone down. We can judge in sense to help someone. We all have our faults, but when we see someone in trouble it doesn't hurt to help them.
Amen brother.... I love how you put it where the mass murderers, Adolph Hitler and serial rapists should be judged, but you don't want to be. Because you are you. BUT.... you were honest and said that you have also done wrong. We all have and I am glad that God is love and has forgiven me. I'm still watching this video, but I love the way it is going so far.
“Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons *judges according to every man’s work* pass the time of your sojourning here in fear”
Thanks. Some people have thrown this at me. Judgment by works. Some people somehow find it conforting. I find it terrifying: if works are a part of salvation I know I am doomed for sure. And now that we are saved by faith let us hate sin and love God with our minds, bodies and souls!
and he does it without shouting or ranting with a smile on his face lol(Mike ) Thank God it is by Grace alone through faith alone IN Jesus's blood on the cross. GOD DID! Romans 8!! HE is Changing us!
Revelation 18:7, 8 .For she keeps saying in her heart: ‘I sit as queen, and I am not a widow, and I will never see mourning.’ That is why in one day her plagues will come, death and mourning and famine, and she will be completely burned with fire, because Jehovah God, who judged her, is strong.
James 1 22But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. We can’t keep the law, but if we have the one who kept it perfectly living inside of us, and we ABIDE IN HIM, HE will keep it for us and through us. That’s the purpose of his Holy Spirit, to make us Holy. There now, that didn’t take 40 minutes now did it... End of story
It's about self-righteousness. Some people can really go way off with condemning others. It's even harder when they don't even know what's going on, or don't care to know, and just condemn you to hell without lifting a finger. They separate themselves from others, thinking highly of themselves, condemning people even for watching a movie for example. I see this in cults a lot, and in people who give advice without inquiring first. It's like a doctor who don't do the check-up and just give you a list of meds to buy.
I find myself falling into this judgment pit quite often. I'll ride somebody's bumper because they're not going fast enough in my opinion, but then as soon as anybody gets too close behind me, I'm ready to slam the brakes... It amazes me how totally ingrained our sin nature is within us. I have to fight so hard just against that one simple thing, it's ridiculous and shameful.
Pray for them. Whether they are too slow or too close, pray form them. And NEVER slam on the brakes. If someone is too close, either get of the gas and coast a little slower, or tap your brake while maintaining your speed. But really, Pray for them. And thank God for the test to NOT sin against them.
St Augustine explains that it makes little sense to think the Gentiles "who have the law written on their hearts" are Pagans. Rather, St Augustine explains that it makes more sense for Paul to be speaking of Gentile Christians who have the Holy Spirit "write the law on their hearts" per the very New Covenant promises of Jer 31.31-34 & Eze 36.23-29. Paul's goal in Romans is to show that the Gentiles can be Christians and experience the saving power of God, which is why Romans 2:29 says God praises those who have been circumcised of the heart by the Holy Spirit, which can only mean Christians.
We are called to judge doctrine amongst those in the body of Christ. Those that cling to false doctrine will be cut off and thrown into the fires. If your doctrine is wrong, the only right you have is to repent. Everything you do besides repent will be a judgement and curse against you and your family. I pray that anyone that rejects the truth be judged severely until they repent. Repent while you can.
God have Mercy on man kind, AMEN. On Judgement, How a parent would judge and dicipline their children, so God also will be fair with his judgement, worry not about passed sin just be anchored in the Divine now and all will become righteous in Christ and God. God can not escape true love because thats what he is to. He Elects the ones who Love him. His election is his great Divine Pleasure for he knows all before we were. The more we get closer to God the more we reflect his righteousness, not our own. Who can be good of himself? Just surrender to Gods will. Imitate Christ to our full ability and Live.
If anyone says “I’m a good person,” they haven’t understood the gospel… It’s always necessary to read and study Scripture in its context and to understand it in its context…
Yeah, this is very popular to quote by non-believers. Love it when non-believers suddenly care what the bible says when they think an out of context verse supports them. The rest of it is just tp to them!
@@bibletruthministries9793 you may have touched on something....I find it frustrating when something is or seems to be written in a way that is too easy, to misunderstand....
Love your channel bro. Keep up the good fight. I go to a Calvinistic church but I don’t view romans 9 the way they do. I’m asking the Holy Spirit to help me because they are paying for my seminary but in order to be ordained I have to accept all of the tulip. I can’t up there and lie and say I do. I agree with all the essentials just some of the non essentials of the Presbyterian church
Ok as a newly awoke former Catholic and now consider myself a nondenominational Christian, does any other Christian here NOT look forward to standing before Almighty God?! I DON'T! Does that make me a false Christian. Please let me know. I sometimes shake when I think of who God really is.
Brother (or sister), I am glad you've come to know God! I urge you, look forward to standing before God! For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:30), then by His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5)! Your sins are not counted against you, for you are made righteous in Christ (Romans 3:22). God's holiness should rightly be feared. Sinners should fear God, for His holiness and justice demand punishment (Romans 6:23). For the redeemed, we have no reason to be afraid! Hope this has helped. God bless!
This is the confidence we have, Salvation in Jesus. Let your hope, faith and confidence rest in the only Savior, Jesus and absolutely no one or nothing else, not even yourself. No one is perfect in the flesh when they are saved and no one will be. Focusing on Jesus and all He did for us will help you to become more Christ like. It's about being led by Holy Spirit and not our flesh.
Hi.. I know I'm seeing this video way after you made it and not sure if you'll see comment but I just wanted to say thank you for making such informative videos on the scriptures and their meanings.. I am in what I feel like is... Well for lack of better phrase "spiritual warfare".. In early 2020 I felt God wake me up.. By that I mean in a pretty bad time I had been having in life the last 20 years I felt the MOST EXTREME urge to just... Learn. But not just any thing. Everything. About him. I unfortunately lost my faith thru adulthood and now I know what I done when I lost that faith is close and lock the door to feeling and hearing him work in my life. So I had a very dry and and empty life that made me have in my mind that "well I guess this is my life and God's grace and his giving of blessings is only in the movies" outlook on life. I actually have so many diffrent thoughts now but it would make this comment super long lol. And it's already gonna be long. I went on to make bad decisions that led to more bad decisions. At first I used shock like "what kind of God just let's this happen? Loving forgiving merciful God that lets so much bad stuff happen and not do anything? What have I DONE SO BAD to deserve this? What has ANY OF US DONE to DESERVE all the terrible things that happen?" That mentality helped me sleep thru the first year or so of my bad choices and consequences I had to pay for making them. Every year after that I continued to mess my life up but I did eventually put the blame on the only one ultimately responsible for my "tribulations". And that was ME. I did start to own my choices and accepted any repercussions for my negative view on my life. It didn't help me to change or want to really and start to get close to him again tho unfortunately. So needless to say I made myself live a very dry and empty and void of him kind of life. But early 2020 I FELT him nudging me to REMEMBER. I feel like I felt him say that to me and more then once. So I embarked on a years walk just drowning myself in everything he led me to learn about him. I could FEEL myself changing. I heard him knock. I answered. Now my warfare is ALL THE MANY religions and their versions of a book that I was already having hard time understanding all of it. And my deep true fear of not wanting to get this wrong. I felt him again and hear him again. I could be a worse person but I could be a better one that's for sure and I may have only made small transgressions in life but I felt as unworthy of his patience and forgiveness and love as I would had I killed 20 people. The way my heart filled with gratitude and appreciation and complete WANT to serve him and live for him and love him with everything I had I will never forget. I have just gotten some LDS that I commented on one of their FB posts and they started with messages and came to my home with book of Mormon and honestly what they said at first touched my heart and made me feel like they could be a church for me. The feeling turned to "wait.. Huh?" Bout week later. I had stumbled upon some older articles about the polygamy stuff and was hit with big "Ohhh I remember hearing bout this" moment. I then felt God urge to me learn again. He does that to me some times lol. I love it. But the more I read the more confused I got cuz I read something bout him being a fraud and his lack of Egyptian writings knowledge and so many of his papers and book of Mormon was based on help from an angel and lot of his work was debunked and shown to pretty much say our holy bible was not complete? And what he had was things kept from us? I remember reading in bible no-one shall take away from this book or add to it. It's one of the parts I understood right away as a warning to anyone that does. But it led me to "stumble" upon your videos. I do air qoutes cuz I'm believing in chance alot less these days lol. But basicly so far after only a few videos I actually understand so much more. Not only that I have that confidence in it being the TRUTH he is urging me hunger for and find. The other religions even tho say nice things to appear like there the TRUTH I still carried that doubt and kept me in that fear of getting it wrong and being a part of even his elite that could possibly be fooled. Not saying I'm elite but if they could even possibly be fooled than I stood big chance of being led astray. And that scared me. Like I said I feel like I just now got him back... I never want this amazing feeling to go away by another bad decision. So thank you for how you break it all down. I truly feel like he made you and those like you to help his lost children find the way back to his light. And I thank you AND God for for putting the Holy spirit in you and anyone who only want his truth to touch his all his children. ❤🙏
Most of the Greek words used through this passage are a form of Kronos, which tends to indicate eternal judgement. Paul also appears to be calling out the Jewish believers in these early chapters. The Jewish believers had a well documented problem of letting go of their legalistic practices and trying to make the gentiles conform to those practices if they were to really be saved. After this passage Paul will specifically target reliance on the Law and circumcision. It appears to me the Paul is giving the Jews a stern warning that if you are going to tell gentiles they are going to hell if they don’t follow the Law that they themselves are not grasping the Gospel. He even warns them that they face Kronos and WRATH, which indicate never being saved. On the other hand the gentile who has been saved because the law has been written on their hearts (the promise of the New Covenant) actually do the Law (because the Spirit works in them) and they establish the Law.
Very very good stuff man. I did think you were half right with the “God will render each according to his deeds” passage. It does seem to be about non believers and Gods accounting for their good and bad deeds, but I don’t believe it’s the negative evangelical “no one does good” answer. It is true as you say that have guilt. But also there’s a huge idea scattered throughout that “He knows of what we’re made” that he looks upon the earth for people who seek him out. That He will have mercy on who He will have mercy (especially since Christ was crucified before the foundation of the world for everyone in one sense). So the plain reading is that God will judge them by their deeds and that this isn’t wholly negative. He’s not a machine; he does have mercy as well as judgement and it’s up to Him.
I'm usually pretty cautious about who I listen to on the internet when it comes to the bible as I'm worriedabout being led astray. I took a chance on this video and wow, did it speak to me! I read chapter two then did a UA-cam search as I wasn't understanding what I read. Your explanation cut deep; these were things I needed to hear even as painful as it was to hear them. Its given me a lot to think about. I thank you for making this video and I thank God for guiding me to it.
Don't judge others. I loved this. That is a common political tool and isn't what Jesus taught. You are the first person I've heard argue this, besides myself.
Let's be honest. We LIKE judging. We're all sinners but we feel better about ourselves by talking about how someone ELSE sins more than we do. We come up with all kinds of ways to justify our judgements.
Anyone else getting a scientology ad for this video?
I pinned your comment to the top because I would also like to know the answer. Thanks
Mike Winger I'd like to know as well, I've never Google them, or watched videos about them.
I’ll do a video on them one day but their beliefs are way off the map and their group is dangerously controlling.

"But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world."
Wow
I really got tired of my ex telling me not to judge anyone or any thing. This is a very well thought out explanation of "judging". Many thanks for this.
The ones that tell you not to judge are the one's who are judging.
In short.. It's a power play by telling you that you should follow them as the dictator of judgements in your life. They are the judge.

I wish I could hit the "Like" button 100 times. It is great when a pastor clarifies the Truth.

Glad I found this channel. Mike has a great spirit about him. Could tell within seconds he was genuine
Yes, that's what I love about Mike's teaching. He is genuine....the real deal.
We must judge ourselves clearly. Then we can see clearly to make a moral judgment. It's hard when clouded by our own sin.
Are we ever not clouded by are sin? That’s a tough question for me to answer.
Psalm 139
Grateful to have Found this. Struggling with Christians living in sin because we are living in the dispensation of grace and when you point out that the Bible calls this/that sin you are called judgemental. Thank you for the much needed clarification.
@Mike Winger
Thanks so much for your teachings, have learned so much. Since the day I heard you say we should desire to know more of the Bible, I've been refreshed by watching your content as it does exactly that-teach more of the Bible. This is not common. Praise the Lord for your ministry and May God bless you!
Grace and Peace.🤗 from South Africa
I'm 10 minutes in and am already learning more than I expected. Well done master teacher! 🙂
This really helped to clear up confusion on this passage and judging evil deeds. Ephesians 5:11 also supports this teaching. Thank you. All glory to God.
Thank you so much, Mike....boy did that clear up a section of scripture that I’ve had so much trouble understanding until now...and I’m a pastor!
This sermon has given me so much to think upon today... Thank you for all the work you put into this thought provoking message Pastor Mike Winger, Excellent Food!
Thank you for the sermon! Really helpful especially for talking to people about Jesus. Blessings ☺️
Thanks for these videos Mike. I greatly appreciate the work you put into them. 👍. You're doing a great job for God and for many of us who want to know more about the Bible, salvation and about Jesus.
Thank you for this day Lord Jesus I’m so thankful and grateful for everything
Thank you for explaining so simply. And thanks for making this video to share with anyone who needs more guidance about Jesus and God. You are a blessing to me
I appreciate your ministry, Mike. You are able to bring to light the context of scripture and what is meant by the author. It also helps that you explain it in a way that's easy to understand. Thank you!
This is very well explained! I've been studying Romans a lot lately. It is such a great book!
Romans has been considered "the masterpiece of the Gospel." I read it constantly! It is one of my very favorite books of the Bible! Galatians is probably my second favorite. I believe that if we don't have the Gospel right, everything else we think we know is utterly useless!
I just got myself a HCSB version and use it along with my KJV (after watching your video on different Bible Translation, "Can I Trust Bible Translations: Evidence for the Bible...")
This has made study time SO MUCH more enjoyable and easier. I can dive way deeper into the word for word / phrase for phrase meanings of God's Word. Thank you so much for that video. I'm very glad I saw that one before starting this study on Romans.
I love the HCSB.
Dose of humility goes along way.
I feel more equipped to share the gospel effectively. Thank you.
John 7:24
English Standard Version
24 (A)Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.”
And of course, 1 Corinthians 5 and 6.
Especially 6, where it says that the saints will judge the world and angels.
1 Corinthians 6:2-3
English Standard Version
2 Or do you not know that (A)the saints will judge the world?
Amen
Damn. Here i am trying to tell my folks good stuff (trying to figure out what point to post) but there are so. Many. Dude 3 years later this is still gold.

Your teaching is amazing. Thankyou .
If we repent and believe, we are new creatures and will not live like we did. We must obey. That isnt a work. It is love. I love your teachings.
Sanctification is ongoing. Thank God For this by Faith IN Jesus Name, Amen!
Love this and thank you! My friends and I are doing a bible study on Romans and this helps me understand this chapter more!
It's hard to know which to emphasize at times, but it's important to account for both

We are not to judge in sense to put someone down. We can judge in sense to help someone.
We all have our faults, but when we see someone in trouble it doesn't hurt to help them.
Love your deep dives... I'm going thru Romans now ... This helps
So good to hear true teaching from the Word.

Thanks. Some people have thrown this at me. Judgment by works. Some people somehow find it conforting. I find it terrifying: if works are a part of salvation I know I am doomed for sure. And now that we are saved by faith let us hate sin and love God with our minds, bodies and souls!

James 1
22But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
We all “NEED “ Jesus!
I thought we were never meant to judge others but judge the act or sin of others? If that makes sense tried to explain it the best I could.
It's telling you that you should not be a hypocrite and condemn another man as if you are God and do not sin yourself. Romans 2:1
If anyone says “I’m a good person,” they haven’t understood the gospel…
It’s always necessary to read and study Scripture in its context and to understand it in its context…
The truth is the truth is the Bible that shows us Jesus
Yeah, this is very popular to quote by non-believers. Love it when non-believers suddenly care what the bible says when they think an out of context verse supports them. The rest of it is just tp to them!
Josie Smith yup, the Bible takes a level of spiritual discernment, i.e., being saved, to understand.

(Ephesians 2:8-9)
If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:30), then by His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5)!
Thanks Pastor Mike
Amazing explanation of Romans 2:1-16.
Wash me please Jesus
The way this was the only verse I knew before I actually picked up the bible.
The favorite go to passage when we are confronted about living in sin
Let's be honest. We LIKE judging. We're all sinners but we feel better about ourselves by talking about how someone ELSE sins more than we do. We come up with all kinds of ways to justify our judgements.
The definition to judge is to have an opinion. That is one way we decide is by having an opinion
