    I wear a suit or at least a sports coat and often where my hair down but it's more likely up or back in hot weather. Highball, low ball or low pony for me.

      Let's hope so! I guess it already sorta happened with beards. For a long time in the 20th century clean shaven was the working standard, then a 1-3 day stubble became acceptable and the last 10 years or so full beards have been popping up more often and becoming popular. Even my dad who always scoffed at the idea of ever growing more than a stubble when I was younger, is sporting himself a nice full goatee

    • @P_Mann
      @P_Mann 3 роки тому +19

      @@killazelda I think we’ll get to a point where looking like you are clean and take care of yourself will win. We’ve been seeing it with beards where the ratty unkempt faces are going away in professional settings in favor of definite styles. But it comes and goes over generations - all things grooming and style happen on some sort of cycle.

    It's absolutely amazing how YoutTube suggestions work. I'm an IT professional in India, and I got a chance to grow my hair during the lockdown, working from home. And the stereotypes are pretty strong here as well. So I was a little worried about it when the office reopens because I'm not too keen on cutting my hair short. Then I came across this video, and it's really helpful.

      Indian history indicates men had long hair, even American and European history too.. However the World wars changed many perceptions.. Civilians slowly adopted the military hairstyle and way of life. The present business management principles are highly influenced by military discipline and order.
      Just look for companies and managers that are flexible and focus on the work rather than the appearance of employees.

    Low-ball bun style works with the Triangle shaped face. Another is a partial ponytail, for an extra bit of style is to pull through the ponytail either under or overhand. Make three partial ponytails and do a underhand pull through for a polished professional look. One thing I'll add is use a small three strand braid or rope braid to cover the lowest elastic tie to cover it.

  • @kentucky4x456

    My work normal work environment would not be considered business casual as dress code is either company provided tshirts or polos with blue jeans and steel toes. However since growing my hair out, I find that I often will put my hair up to keep it out of my face while working. My go toes tend to be either a simply ponytail or loose bun if I want to get it off my neck or a half up ponytail if I want to wear my hair down but keep it out of my face as I work. Just want to say I'm glad I found this channel as it has provided a lot of inspiration and a boost to my selfconfidance. Keep up all the good work.

    I like number 2 most. But is there an oil that soften your hair? Right now I am using Argan oil.

    Are these buns and ponytails damaging for your hair ? I've seen some people talk about getting tranction alopecia when wearing ponytails and buns and braids

    I had hair down to my waist. I was looking upgrade my career as it got to point I realized there was no growth where I was working. A head hunter contacted me and we met for an interview. He told me it's a Japanese company and they are very strict. I had to cut my hair...just to get interviewed!!! Anyways, next day at work I got the scissors, grabbed my hair at the top like if I was going to put in ponytail and snipped it off. Thankfully, after 3 interviews I was offered the job.

    At work, I'm only allowed collar length and with a frown looking, and NO hair restraints. 😭 i love long hair but works makes it hard on me.
