    Great video, guys!
    I got my last full hair cut on November 2016 and my next cut was a year later was because the top of my hair was a mess and it was longer then the sides and back. When that got tidied up I literally left it until the following March and then I got my trims every few months and now we’re nearly on four years and it’s almost to the middle of my back and I get my ends trimmed every two months or so just to not kill it. Literally tidying it up and that’s what has kept it going, and that’s WITH hair colouring added to it too. I tend to do the half up and half down look and usually french pleat the pony on it! Just to add that Viking/Thor vibe!

    I have a ridiculous amount of thick hair that is more coarse in texture and have wanted to grow my hair long for some time except when I grew all my hair out it became too heavy and high maintenance, so I lightened the load and found it more manageable as well as balanced when I gave it an undercut. I can rock a bun, a ponytail, or wear down without noticing an obvious undercut. For me, I have the best of both worlds in hairstyle, a clean tight outline when the hair is up or a fuller longer look when it is down. I also wear those different looks with a vintage ball cap, beanie, or a flat cap.

    We have completely different hair types...mine being coarse-fine you guys being fine-straight...so the man bun is typically for your hair type since someone of your hair type coined it(tho I've seen Rick Gonzales with this hairstyle many years ago)But I'll try it to see how it looks when it gets longer. I had dreads before and has tried the style and it looks well-together. So maybe it doesn't matter

    Hey Trav, what type of product do you guys use for the thumbnail photo where the hair is pushed back but not quite slicked? That's the one j struggle with the most

    I need a haircut, so I just decided today that I'm growing my hair out at 47. Appreciate the video! Any tips on getting started? I usually wear a shadow fade with a sorta faux hawk point in the front(?). So it's VERY short. Im just wondering if I grow the sides out and go behind the ears, or... I'd appreciate anyone's comment on this question!

    *Could you give some advice on how to protect "full lenght bangs" and prevent the hair on the hairline from thinning or breaking ?*
    Because I like to loose-wear the hair backwards over my head with a headband.
    Got pretty much the same hair type like you with the hair on the front- front sides having long waves.
    (growing since 1 1/2 years, bangs are below shoulder-length)
    OR is it healthier to not brush them backwards at all and wear everyhing downward on the sides ?

    Just saw this video, but when I'm at work I usually manbun with a wide headband. Doubles as a way to hold my sharpie at the ready. I've done the half up half down approach from time to time, but the manbun/headband keeps things managed most nights (when I do a pony, I have to fix it three or four times a night cause of flyaways that start to bother me, but rarely need to fix the bun - except when I disturb it with random accessories I find in my journeys at work xD)

    I am growing my hair and 5 months in, but I have a goal in mine but don't think I want the man bun style, I want it down and want style it back more but I also love wearing beanies as accessory. I think I just have my taste in style. Mid length was my goal but I may experiment too.

    Video idea: how to talk to your barber in barber speak as far as maintenance trims etc. Also how to braid your own ponytail without seeing it directly

    I just reached 2 years of length from basically a buzz cut and it goes down to about my chest. What wash cycle would you recommend?

    Also do you have any tips on adding volume to a middle part? trying to go for a grunge look but as my hair is getting longer it's losing that part height.

    • @TravWhiteStyle
      @TravWhiteStyle  4 роки тому +1

      You’re going to want to spray some dry texturizing spray to the root of your head right there in the middle part and rub it in a bit. Should add some more volume
