    As soon as you mentioned the red highlights outside the helminth room I thought the same of just DE giving us a way to light up the Orbiter (kind of like Minecraft's light block)

    Give control of lighting and atmosphere like they did with dojo. Can make it feel like an orokin tower or a derelict ship or anything inbetwen

    I find the GI rework looks much better in Drifter's camp than in space. Base orbiter has the fog density and ambient light turned up or smth which makes the whole thing mush
    Also, make sure to check out the Railjack. I think it improved a lot

      Indeed it has! The Railjack getting uplifted by the lighting changes was one of the first things I found out when I first logged in when the update launched! But sadly, I had no idea that was going to happen, so I didn't capture any before footage. Otherwise, it definitely would have been given a place in the video.

    A criticism my brother said (he doesn't play WF) that he wished more of the scenes were labeled. He was unsure what was new and old. I could tell, but he didn't know what's new or old

    Not many channels cover things like this. This is the type of content I personally enjoy from the WF community. Reworked graphics, bosses, tile sets, and other systems really peak my interest. No disrespect to other channels, but doing huge amounts of damage in a power fantasy game really isn't content for me anymore. I hope your channel grows. It's edited extremely well and gets straight to the point. You earned a sub. :clem:

      Thanks so much! :clem: Happy to say that everything you listed is on my list of planned videos as well!
      To give you a little info about the plan for this channel, this kind of video should be the routine, releases every 1/1.5 weeks. In case of delays/burnout risk/etc., I might release a Memeframe short or something of that nature to appease the merciless UA-cam machine and give me a chance to rest or take a bit longer on a video so I don't compromise on its quality. I made a half dozen of those shorts in advance of uploading even my first video, so we should be good for a while.
      Then there's the much larger creative works, releases much more sparingly. These take a long time to produce, due to their complexity and scope. Because I have to take care of things financially, I hope that maybe I can get............. one! (oof) such project out at the end of the year, but of course circumstances will affect that. Hoping to do as much as I can before the year ends!

      Thanks so much! This is my favorite game of all time, and in kind I wanted to make entertainment at the same level of quality that this game and its team gives us.     everytime warframe does a visual update it's always inequal on so many ends resulting in a first impression of "wow" but the more time passes the more you start seeing the cracks and parts that haven't been worked on, this video is just a collection of that and a place as important as the orbiter should have been reworked since a long long time, 2019 when they introduced the new orbiter for exemple.

    I genuinely think we meed Voidshell features to the orbiter material textures and just like they did it to warframes and operator suits i feel like it'd be fairly easy to implement it with the orbtier interior

    one thing that really bugs me, I can't hardly see the colors of my helminth flowers. Everything is washed out in red

      Good catch. I had to replace the whole dang monitor because the old one broke mid-filming, and I didn't notice the ratio change until it was too late. Figured the comparison still held up even with the slight change (went from 16:10 to 16:9), so I continued on. Which is unfortunate, because I really would have preferred the before and after be exact. Oh well, things should be more consistent (ironic considering the subject of this video) going forward.

    I felt this way about plains 2.0, I felt lie the first iteration of the plains had a them but when the updated it it was washed out and less colorful

    The lightning with the flowers makes me sad. I do agree on the general lightning in there but the flowers are just ugly now. Most of the colours on them at least.
    also i agree on the door from outside. But also I absolutly prefer the contrast before the change. I feel like the new lightning makes it quiet hard to identify the true colours of the warframes and in generall the colours on the ship. Sometimes some of the colours just seem broken by now.
    I agree with the rest of what u said. And sadly I end up prefering the old lighning (but probably that is also because I have my graphics on the mid and now half my orbiter seems foggy... or if I have eye issues lol)

      Not at all!
      Just to be clear, knowing I focused a lot on the smaller nitpicky aspects of the new lighting, this video is not meant as a dig at the new lighting in any way. I made this because I'm a big film nerd, and I hyperfocus on these kinds of details.

    Any way i can make the lightning in the flowers (helminth room) like the old through the settings?

      Hey! I did a little testing in-game for you, and here's what I can offer. While there's not a way to change the lighting the way in which you asked, perhaps you can try adjusting settings like "Volumetric Fog," "Volumetric Lighting," and "SSAO Quality" to see if any of those suit you better.

    They also need to rework the operator textures
    A lot of it it's very pixelated and it just looks off, the Drifter and most models in the game don't have the same problem

    I actually would prefer for flowers in Helmith to at least stand out with their colors, even if they'd be oversaturated, they all look monochromatic now. Their purpose is to be colorful. Those are all the warframes you sacreficed. It's important.

    I am really disappointed by the lighting changes so far, it feels rushed and unpolished and I just generally hate the way it looks it made everything dark, bland, and, honestly really hopeless which is kinda reflecting the current state of my life so far, but yk.. other things ass well like randomly adding a giant unconfigurable blue light in front of the ramp, doesn't matter your preferences yur gettin' blue i swear it literally ruins my entire color scheme for that section which used to look really cool with nightwave but now the colors are all off

      you are right, but these lighting changes have gotten very sexy on the new recent updates . whispers in the wall looks phenomenal .

      @@payne939 I think it has definitely improved since the overhaul but I still dislike the glum “realistic” vibe, it was perfect, it ran at 240 fps on my 3060 flawlessly it was so unbelievably smooth for how good it looked but they ruined it, it runs like shit now for marginally “better” graphics I never wanted or needed I’m a graphics snob and I was more than happy with how it looked before, so worse performance and glitchy unpolished and less natural lighting has killed it for me oh and don’t even get me started on mobile which is just so sad it was beautiful and the completely destroyed it and made it unplayable it’s only borderline unplayable rn which is still unacceptable imo but what do I know, I only have an iPhone 14 Pro Max

      @@geoneo6013 i actually agree. They shouldve kept the same engine for ios . I also have 14promax lol. I play warframe at 120 locked and everything set to high . Got bad gpu spike problems so can’t really play at 144 locked. Have a gtx 1080ti extreme edition.

      Agreed, when there's that much fog on the ship then it means Ordis needs to take a look at the Life Support system. I turn off Volumetric fog because of it. Personally I liked how dark the Orbiter's interior looked when Dante Unbound first came out, but it was "too dark" apparently according to DE, so of course they had to "fix" it

    I feel like they really just overdid some of the soft lighting... And for some reason it feels a lot less dynamic then the old one?
    Like the imrpovements are there, i see Textures i have never seen on my warframe´s and more.
    But previously we had the lighting in the orbiter affected by the colour of it. Giving some fashion-framers trouble, this being a double edged sword in my opinion.
    It just takes a bit of customization away, the random blue lighting on my otherwise Neon green orbiter is a bit too jarring for my taste...
    And the lighting, i don´t quiet get how for example on the operator on the ground it is SO much worse then otherwise.
    It feels like there are random lightsources, or a lack of shadows of obvious items.
    My solution is to just turn contrast up and lighting down, makes it feel more edgy, still one of my favorite things is how customizable the game is, the lighting being another point to it.

      You raise good points about the lack of customization. Someone earlier mentioned the ability to change lighting colors like we do in Dojos, and that would go a long way towards satisfying some players' desires to make their Orbiter how they want. Of course, we can only hope such an addition is feasible given the age and stubbornness of Warframe's code and DE's extremely busy schedule.
      As far as the soft lighting, you and many others have raised this topic, and although I'm someone who quite likes the fog and ambiance, I think this perspective is just as valid. I actually thought about broaching this subject in this video, but I decided to save it for a future one (ideally, arriving later next month). In the meanwhile, you do have the option to lower the "Volumetric Fog" settings (or even turn it off completely) in your graphics menu. Hope that helps!

    The lighting absolutely screwed my ability to do any fashion properly. All weapon and warframe colors are washed out only in orbiter. They're fine in missions, relays, captura, accessory previews, profile menu, etc. but specifically the Orbiter is screwed over. Especially sigils, I absolutely have to check the profile menu every single time I change one's color, or every time I make any change to the opaqueness.
