Question...I've got a 2018 CForce 500S but when I go to HighLifter's site they don't list any lift kits for the 18/19/20 model years. Is the kit for the 500HO the same? I'm only questioning because the 2018 500S and the 500HO have different control arm and front strut/shock part numbers. I also emailed HighLifter and they said they don't have any kits for the 500S but only for the 500HO. Any info is greatly appreciated...also big thumbs up on the channel. CFMoto content and equipment is hard to come by but happy to see you pushing a lot of content on the CFMoto brand.
Hi figured I'd comment back to myself (haha) but to help future questions from others about this lift for the "CForce 500”. I bit on a black friday sale from Highlifter and finally had sometime for the install last week...things that I learned. First and foremost, this kit from Highlifter is designed with the 500HO in mind instead of the 500s. The front lift brackets from Highlifter work BUT do not sit square on the tops of the control arms but rather "float" to a degree where they would sit square on the 500HO arms...the HO uses different front control arms which I verified by part numbers. When searching the web and UA-cam, you'll see that there are other "brands" of lifts out there from Poland, Russia and other bigger CFMoto markets for the 520L (similar to the 500s in the US/Canada) and those are of the same design where they float and not sit square on the tops of the arms. Now the 1.5” wheel spacers included are not needed on the 500s from what I saw as there is no clearance issues with the factory 12" wheel and control arms....but adding them does offer more stability. With that said I bought another set of 1.5” wheel spacers for the front to keep the stance "equal" distant when comparing to stock. If I were to do it again, I'd purchase 1" wheel spacers and throw those in the rear and move the 1.5” wheel spacers to the front to get it an equal poke past the fenders as the 1.5” at all four corners makes the rears poke almost 3/4” more than the fronts with the same size spacer. Either way I got the same 1" inch lift on my 500s as shown in this video and the ride feels a tad bit stiffer but then again I can't really tell as I noticed the tires where at 4psi instead of the 6.5psi before the first ride on the lift so at the same I adjusted that...I might drop it down to 5psi for the next ride. Now I'm debating on whether or not I should do 27” Bear Claw HTR's vs 26" as the 27's are actually almost a pound lighter per tire than the 26's. My trail riding is a lot of single track dirt/rock/roots with some small "puddles/water crossings" so I'm not looking for crazy big tires with big "paddle" like tread....need more of an all around thread.
I run the stocks most of the time.. but I did buy system 3 xm310s for when I'm going mud riding. I'll comment 2 links to some videos of it. No mods needed
