I live near the Outsiders house. I think it is great what the owner has done with it. Since I grew up with the kids that inspired S E Hinton to write the book not only am I proud of her accomplishment, the movie remains one of my all time favorites as a Tulsa iconic film.
Patrick Swayze did the flip over the fence not Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise did the back flip off the car. And the fountain was not there beforehand they built it for the movie.
Some of the info I have questions about. One for sure I know you got wrong. This is the second video I've seen that said this, I'm not sure....maybe that was your video as well? But my family owns the Admiral Twin Drive In and that is not the same hole in the fence where Dallas, Johnny Cade and Ponyboy snuck in. It's not even the same fence. It is in the same area, but the original place was about 100 or so feet away and that section of the fence was replaced in the 1990s. The hole in your video Is recent and was made by Homeless people, who during the summer months pitch tents in those trees. We look the other way, while they go through that hole and use our restrooms and electric plug inside to cook on their hot plate. The electricity is turned off during the off season. Also, can I ask who told you about the Rumble scene location? My uncle was an extra in that scene (one of the Socs) and he said it was in the open area at the same park the fountain scene was filmed. Another fun fact....right behind that Recall Drug Store in Sperry is where the scene was filmed where Dallas, Pony and Johnny chase those three kids in.
I heardd theshop owner got sick of tourist showing up, asking 100 questions, taking photos, annoying locals and never buying anything. So he said "No more" I don't blame him. If you stop in, BUY SOMETHING
THe part where you show them talking about how they went method for this explains why the movie is a masterpiece. Everyone seemed to have put everything they could into this film.
My intention was to get every location seen on screen, however due to my limited time of (1 week) in Oklahoma, I had to pick and choose what was more important to include in this video. However, I do hope you enjoyed!!
@@theghostfiles it was a very informative video and I thoroughly enjoyed it. In regards to the Buck Merrill home, this building was demolished in the 1990's and a Burger King now sits on the property.
@@whatever_it_takes6691 interesting, thank you for sharing! I also wanted to check out where the old Dairy Queen used to be but unfortunately missed that. I’m glad you enjoyed though! Thank you for watching❤️
I think it’s a deleted scene from maybe the DVD release or something. It didn’t make it to the Final Cut for the film. You can find the full thing on UA-cam by searching the outsiders deleted scenes. Hope this helped! Also thank you for tuning in!

This video looks to have found the area where they snuck in.

It's really so cool that you're bringing back the outsiders and bringing them back to life
love this whole video with all my heart.
I love you for watching this video and enjoying it❤️
I want to go to the Outsiders House sometime soon. This is one of my favorite books and movies of all time and it'd be awesome to see it in person.

This was really good, great presentation, footage & commentary. Def one of my favorite movies too, another awesome video forsure!!!
100% the soda fountain scene was shot there @27:43 you can see the barstool post that the 3 of them were actually sitting on.
Yes that orange building is definitely a concession stand , they all look like that at the drive-in and that door you tried to open was a bathroom
Totally awesome! One of my all time favorite movies!
Cool stuff but the music drowns out what they are saying.
The movies and stories that talk about true events that can happen in people's lives that will change forever
What about Buck Merril's house?
