NTA she literally told you that she’s an adult and to stop interfering in her life multiple times. If she wants to be an adult and make bad decisions then she needs to understand that accepting the consequences of her actions will go hand in hand with that. You don’t bite the hand that feeds you and disrespect them in their own home.
As she stated shes an adult.... she doesn't need mom or dad's help she can make her own decisions, sooo... she made the decision and can live on her own, as an adult, who made the decision to have sex... she can figure it out her self.
As someone with a sister who's repeatedly lied, stole, done drugs, overdosed by this point at least once, and chosen both men and drugs over both her kids? I can say getting a parent to give up trying is difficult. My mother still tries, even after all these years. My sister is basically delusional at this point, it's like she has to believe her lies are true in order to keep up everything. It's really fucking sad to see considering she WAS a good mom at one point. But after leaving her 3 or 4 yr old with a convicted pedophile and she then got touched, to giving birth to her son a couple years ago addicted to heroin- She's basically irredeemable to me at this point.

I really hope that your sister gets the help she needs before its too late... but also family should be emotionally supportive of the good decisions... and hopefully she will learn to start making some... there is NO EXCUSE for allowing anyone to be touched by a predator at all. I feel bad for those children... your sister may never get herself together and that can be hard to understand... but to me it seems like you have already washed your hands clean of her and her mental health issues... everyone deserves the support and love from positive influences... that doesn't mean you should give her money or trust her with your stuff or anything like that.. but if you constantly tell an addict that you view them as a lost cause or they are hopeless and all of those negative things... you should definitely see yourself out of their life all together... because being around and having those negative thoughts and emotions just continues to kick them when they are down... I suggest you 100% wash your hands of the sister for her own sake.. your distain for her is extremely obvious and very unhealthy for any addict.. its also negative for your mental health... its in both of your best interests to pretend the other never existed.... period... I suggest you speak to a therapist to help move past your hurt and anger during the process... also remember that NO ONE WILL EVER GET CLEAN UNTIL THEY ARE READY FOR IT... and its not an easy task... as much hurt as you have been through so has your sister... no one wakes up one day and decides they want to ruin and waste their life hunting for drugs to numb their emotions... instead of face them...
What I learned through my family is I can never tell them what is better for their lives because they will never listen in this case when you say nothing speaks volume let them live and learn as you can only give them advice one time. And you know you’re not a bad mother you’re a wonderful mother with a big heart and one day your daughter will see that it’s true.

People have mental health problems... everyone deserves to be surrounded by positive influences ....and if you are "tired" or "over" a drug addict the best thing for both you and the addict is to (totally stay away) wash your hands for good period... because if you keep bouncing in and out of someone's life you are causing another issue on top of their original issues.. leave and stay gone... its for the best...

How is making sure his daughter has a good life and not throwing her life down the drain someone who left her while pregnant controlling? If she still lives in her parents house then of course the parents are going to have rules.

@@corriee2051 I don't think you understand the statement this person was making. The more you voice an opinion in your kids life a certain way ( in a non loving way) the more you get push back. Don't know the relationship and there most likely is some resentment there with him being her stepfather . Like they said it's easy to understand the issue. It's easy and understandable to have "rules" when someone (related or not) is living with you. However the more you want to have issue there will be an issue. For one it was nice of him to try to get her job but that's a poor decision because most people would put it her life choices won't let her keep the job and it won't look good on her. She doesn't want to hear his opinion she does need to stop asking them for stuff . No one can say anything if they don't know.
@@allesandradrago7111 your right, seeing the video memories of my dumb 21 yr old self came back, although i lived with my parents but i had a very emotionless connection with them, i was never taught about life, confidence or anything and i longed to be loved by some one like they care about me emotionally and then went on a spree of a string of some dumb relationships, but theres one guy who literally saved me going down the drain, he cared and loved me like every girl deserves to be and i was happy finally, when my parents came to know about it, my mother blatantly told me to never contact that guy because he was of a certain religion and was of a "lower standard" according to her..and ofcourse i rebelled, but looking back i do sometines feel like had they taught me to love myself more and be self fulfilled, i could have done a little better, not that i dont love him, but still life would have been a bit easier and i wouldnt have to work as hard as i have to now, it is all about how you give your opinion, had she told me that in a more casual way, i would have actually listened and life wouldn't be as difficult, sorry i made an essay of it, but just needed to pour it somewhere
