Will only work with older style blades. Most new shavers have a slightly round blade profile, so you can't hone it flat. You can buy a tool for the new shavers to sharpen them, see my video review here:ua-cam.com/video/kxdysOEUAPU/v-deo.html
Would not recommend this, I used fine sandpaper and sprayed water on the sandpaper. I spun the blades for 30 sec to 1 minute, it just killed the blades! A sharpening stone and rotating for just 3 to 4 seconds would be better.
Absolutely. Doing them in reverse leaves the sharp edge on the forward cutting edge of the blade. Everybody does them wrong and this rounds the leading edge microscopically so that it is not as sharp. We used to sharpen reel type lawn mowers backwards w/grinding compound for the same reason. I use a small, variable speed, battery powered drill with a T20 Torx bit in reverse and it makes a real difference. Using water or cutting oil on the wet/dry sandpaper makes a big difference as well. Good luck.
Please what is the number of that paper for sharpening?
What are you using to do the close up?
That's a simple 3-in-1 lens converters from aliexpress (used macro converter).
@@Tr0llingSt0nes neat!
Best work
Thank you!

You have a bad camera angle - a good shot of the back of your hand !!
Nice hands though!
HOw I can do, the plane shaver (back) is not working?

use water with the paper and the paper will last a lot longer.
Only if it is sandpaper made for wet sanding! Check for the words wed/dry on the back before using wet.
@@musicmaestrodj you are absolutely right. I made assumptions folks would know that. "make no assumptions."
Let’s see, the video is 3:30 ish long, but it can be done in 30seconds?
Unfortunately, I think it's best for sharpening if the blades are spinning the other direction. Makes the hand turning method with polish appealing.

Same happened with me
Wrong way go in reverse not forward
