It's 50/50. Absolutely more relevant then ever, but it just proves that nothing had changed over 40ish years since the song came out. Sad unfortunately
In kindergarten and first grade, kids get introduced to a world beyond their lives. They read stories of people who dreamed and did wondrous things with their lives. They are encouraged to dream. Over the next few years, every dream is naysaid until dreaming must be kept to yourself. Then you increasingly run into educators who tell you that it is time to prepare for the "real world". "Forget those childish dreams. We rubber stamp identical products as graduates. Dream - don't - deny- die !
That is result of an education born during the US Industrial Revolution where the factories needed workers, not dreamers. We haven't changed the system since.
Great job as usual :) You really do an amazing job putting all this together. What blows me away is of the dozens and dozens of reactions to this song.. Not one person has ever picked up that the poem is actually the lyrics in the song Money from dark side of the moon.
@@MultiReactAThon l really wish you would do a song like Your Possible Pasts or The Final Cut. They showcase the true writing talent of Roger Waters, who did the vast majority of the writing. Without him there's no Dark Side, Animals, and yes The Wall too. He also has a video for The Fletcher Memorial Home where he honors his father who died in WWII when Roger was an infant. Only years later did they find out what happened to him and this was a nice tribute.
The Wall album is a rock novel that must be listed to in its entirety. Based on a childs perspective growing into adulthood during and after WWII in Great Britain.
"The Wall": A much more melodic, nuanced album about alienation, bullying, strait-jacketing of the mind than The Who's "Quadrophenia" (album 1973, movie 1979).
This montage of reactions is welcome, like spring after a very, very long winter. Thank you for this work which must take hours of video editing, to successfully synchronize everything. I would like to see the (Making Of) of this MULTI REACT-A-THON. Congratulations on your work and thank you for sharing it with us.
You gotta see the Movie to get the full experience. It is a concept! I saw it and got it. On another note, It seems like it is come full circle and translated to current times. Hey, Teachers, leave them kids alone! The teacher was quoting the lyrics to pink floyd's song "money".
This song started playing on the radio when I was driving my son to his first day of 2nd grade. We arrived at the drop-off area singing the chorus at the top of our lungs
I've been watching your content for awhile now. Could you possibly do more reaction mashups in the future? I'd like to see more Queen related ones if that would be okay.
You need to listen to the whole album in one sitting, it is not just individual songs, it tells the story of Pink (a mix of Syd Barrett and Roger Waters). The "WALL" is in his head (mental illness and depression), When a life altering situation arises (His dad dying in WW2, school abuse, cheating wife) he adds "another brick in the wall". The album is very deep with meaning and IMO one of the masterpieces of music!!
Prefer the album version mainly because this movie clip heavily drowns out the guitar solo. But the clip itself is cool to watch. And I've heard the song about a thousand times, so I guess it's a wash. 😊
At the time in this moment as a 15 year old. We would call out teachers with the words "hey teacher leave these kids alone" most teachers where good people. But we know some off them where bad bastards and slapping with a leather belt across the hand was common. 1972 to 1976 I was slapped at least once a day.
I left school in Scotland in '85. The standard punishment was detention or "6 of the best" which was the "strap" or "belt" on the palm of the hand. So...there were companies profiting by making straps of leather for grown men and women to hit schoolkids with.......jings ma fuckin boab!!
"Unfortunately, songs like Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' and Metallica's 'One' are not suitable for many people to react to. These songs are difficult to interpret because they are not just music; they are also philosophy and poetry. To interpret these stories, a person needs not only musical knowledge but also a background in philosophy, history, and life wisdom."
It takes alot to work out the movie but there is 3 parts to that song the second part comfortably numb means he's lost the plot n he's in a band and they want him on stage there nit bothered about his mental health he sits trying to build a brink wall up around his self feeling sorry for his self all songs x
The clips from the movie The Wall shouldn't be playing during this song. It would've been better just listening to the studio recording. It detracted from Gilmore' s guitar playing. Thanks for the tune, anyway!
Roger Waters wrote this song about the horrible British schools where you have to go on levels and if you fail a level you can't go any higher but he actually bought this school what did he turn to school into a music school
Wish it was not from the film. A load of dialogue and odd juxtipositioning overtaking the songs without context if not watching the entire film. Oh well.
Watch the full movie it's about some one loosing there mind the full film is songs it's all trippu that's someone loosing the plot second half lost the plot who film is about mental health x
I think they are pausing to circumvent copyright breaches, fair usage so to speak. However, it is unneccesary with certain music tracks. The bots detect a copyright track within a second or so of uploading and they just need a small sample of the artist's material!
It’s a really hearth warming moment to see young people listening to PF one iconic song. But on the same place is saddening that all of them just lightening up to the lyrics hearing “ we don’t need your education “ everyone of us born or will be born need education or we would turn to the US way where the students can choose what objects they want to learn. Because sports needs just a limited numbers of players or anticipates in the game. I had a hard time in my time 65 yrs ago with my teachers like those kids in the video. Did I forgot what they did teach me? Certainly not! Did I forgot the pain from the liner on my butt? Of course I did. But those, who probably didn’t have the same education as I have, with all the punishments, certainly felt more pain in their life than me! Education wasn’t invented by mistakes, and no one knows when and what situation can be used in life!!! One little taught about the listeners. The African Americans were the only ones who were sitting and listening to all the way but I could see the shock on their face!
Song is more relevant than ever!!! PROTECT THE KIDS!!!!
Agreed!
So true unfortunately

@@MultiReactAThon the pleasure is all mine :)
I know. I thought I was the only one to get the lyrics. I was thinking I was so smart. Rock 0n
Soooooo cool to see some of my favorite reactors all on the same video. Whoever edited this to keep everyone in sync, you did an amazing job
Thanks Mike for your kind comments! Keeping everyone in sync is quite a tricky challenge!

Perhaps the best Pink Floyd song. At least for me. Definitely my favorite from the. I've never been a big Pink Floyd fan but this song is a must.
Yes! Thanks & welcome back 👍🏼🎶🔥
Thanks! More to come!
Wow! That was awesome. Looove Pink Floyd and the reactions were by some of favorite reactors. Keep up the great work.

A THEMATIC ALBUM; each song is a chapter in a book. Exactly the same framework for "The Dark Side of the Moon."

The poem the teacher is reading is the lyrics from the PF song Money.

Pink Floyd have always been.. truth tellers!!
The whole video depicted..was in the child's imagination.
So powerful .
Great video...despite the fact that Pink Floyd should always be listened to in Album form...

They played this song at my high school graduation, which is kinda funny to me but I always loved this entire album so that made me happy.
Amazing that you could sync these together.
Let us not forget the late Alan Parker who directed this masterpiece.

May I please slightly alter your observation, JA? "It's not about creativity, but is about THEIR CONTROL over YOUR thoughts!"

It’s not a video. This is part of the movie “ The Wall”. I recommend you watching the entire movie
The words in the poem are part of the lyrics from "Money" on The Dark Side Of The Moon album.
All of these reactors need to watch the movie "The Wall".
You are the master

The song should be making a huge come back with the way schools are here anymore in the way teachers in school boards are
Is that English?
Much prefer the original album version. 🏴 👍
underrated bass player I think so clean roger
well , so you've never got whacked on your hand with a ruler by the teacher , my sin ... i was left handed !
Got to watch the movie to pull this song and songs like comfortably numb together.

Funny thing is: the poem read by the teacher are "Money" lyrics, from The Dark Side of The Moon

The teacher reading the poems in the intro always makes me mad. "They're laughing because the poems are GOOD!" 😭
Stevie Knight greatest reaction ever. 😂
Jamel AKA Jamal you're so funny!
The first poem is included in the song money !!!
I’d rather hear the studio version WITHOUT the movie clips interruptions!
You need to watch the movie.

The point is that most public education, especially in the UK, prepares children for a life of obedience and mediocrity.
The movie “ the wizard of Oz and the album “ the wall “ from Pink Floyd sync up its crazy give it a try
Wrong album. It's The Dark Side Of The Moon.

It’s weird to think that “them kids” have to approaching their mid-50s now.

The poem is the lyrics from another part
Easter egg, when you listen to the poem in the clip with the teacher you can hear lines from the song "Money" by Pink Floyd!
