My van is mk7 and my sensor is at the front left of centre . Ive cleaned this sensor and the air flow sensor withe flow sensor cleaner, then i disconected the battery, negative first then live then reconect. Apparently when you do this it remaps the sensors.
When you you start it back up it will try to cut out a few times , allow it to warm up then take it for a twenty minutes drive, it will come back remaped.
Clean the sensor with a small spike because the sensor is tiny.
Make sure the air flow sensor is dry from cleaner.
Thanksfor this video its realy healped i didnt know about this sensor unril now.
Did you access from underneath?
I have to say a BIG THANK YOU!. This video helped me even if it wasn't the whole problem, simply by not having to have it in the garage costing me money! I've been through countless videos on UA-cam and this was the only one with similar symptoms to mine, i took the sensor out as you said gave it a good clean plugged it back in.. Except this time it went into limp mode instantly even if the engine wasn't started the ESP icon would light up and you'd have about 10 horsepower, so at that point I'm like.. Ohh great I've made it worse!.. Prior to this it would go into limp mode if let the engine drop in below 1500RPM for 2/3 seconds. Unplugged the cable a 2nd time and noticed the yellow cable to the plug had corroded away and was connected by one last strand which had basically given up. After i soldered this cable together for a temporary repair all the symptoms went away and she's running normally again. Thanks again for this video! Legend
My Transit showed the code P1103 and I solved the problem by cleaning this sensor.
I have the same issue, problem solved ,just good clean
Yeah for two weeks I'll bet. That gunk tells me that the entire EGR system is gunked up.
That means your whole EGR system is filled with that crap. You need to clean out the entire EGR system if you want to do the job properly.
I used Forscan thinking it was a needing pcm update, but when i looked at the map sensor it wasnt registering manifold air ,so ive just took it of and it was worse than yours lol ,had cold idle issues and stalled, cleaned ready for trying tomorrow ,great video sir ,
Thank u for information

Thanks buddy, this will help me out, 😊

Just checked mine. It's clean 🤷
Replaced the glow plugs on mine and came across the black s**t completely covering mine "just like yours" never had a problem with it in the past, did it just by chance? Cleaned it all up and popped it back in. Seemed to be the same. Just better at starting in the morning 🙂
Thanks.....👌👏👏👏
👍👍👍
Mine goes into limp mode without warning even when sat on cruise. Have to flick it off/on an itll reset. Not cleaned or even looked at um but will report back when i do.
Thanks
Thanks bud, another thing I will clean when cleaning the MAF sensor. I think I could use the MAF sensor cleaner on the pressure sensor aswell, what do you think? All the best....
Yes you can m8
@@CFCARREPAIRS. Hi, my Mk 7 which I’ve owned for 9 months , has an unusual squeak squeak sound ( about 5 times ) when I stop it. It gives a quiet squeak on start up. Could it be the auxiliary belt spring tensioner ? Thanks.
I've got no lights up but the same issue of how slow it takes to rev up...... same problem you think???? And a bit of black smoke
Would it cause it to have to try starting it several times and low power
