The USPS should give the following items for Mail Carriers: Full COLA - 6 years to top pay- 100% Medical Ins - Only Table 1 pay wages-4% pay increase every year. This is what I would like to see in the next Contract
I can’t believe how long it’s going to take to get our damn money already! We should have a section in there where we get interest to speed the damn thing up!
Demands: higher pay , 100% cola , 4-6 years to reach top pay , earlier start time (6-7am) , free or less cost for health care , interest on backpay , CCA and PTF time to accounted for , updated uniform or higher allowance or less cost for uniforms , no mandatory overtime . If you don't want to WORK for 7:40 a day (two ten minute breaks and a half hour lunch) you are part of the problem. Half the mail is not going to take the same time.
If they would move us all up 92 weeks not just the people on the bottom then I would consider voting yes, that would be the bare minimum for me, of course there’s a lot more I’d like to see, no more ccas, full cola, one pay table, and topping out higher than 83-84k has to be closer to 90k
You guys did the work and should not have to wait for your back pay. I believe that every employee in every craft should go on strike and shut the country down. This country is long overdue for a revolution and a USPS strike would be a great catalyst for change. The public respects the carriers and other craft employees for their efforts and services and I am one who would stand with you all.
Is it impossible to take a page from the employees of 1970 handbook and have a national call out? This is a government job that pays less than In-N-Out Burger (California). Absolutely no reason we should have such a BIG responsibility on the federal level and be compensated on such a low scale.
First off, the news ticker is down right genius. Had some good laughs while listening to possible bad news. What I find down right stupid is the postal service doesn't have to provide parking for it's employees and if their vehicle is broken into it, the postal service isn't responsible. They should provide parking for their employees.
Incentive? Lol. Yes. We get paid quite a bit for pretty easy work. Its not back breaking but its labor. This isnt just a steering wheel holder highway thing.. (I did ir... loved it) but this is the last job you will ever have if u want it. .
PVO here (box truck) we definitely load and unload full Pallets/APC/BMC and use LiftGates when needed. There is a lot of challenging backing into docks after hours when all the LLV and Metris/Promasters are parked, it is do-able and pays OK, but can be stressful at times, random small business hard to find, GPS navigation is NOT on the scanner have to use personal phone/GPS and read road signs. There are no assigned trucks and have to be flexible to do ANY route and any shift until you can place a Bid. Still have to fuel up the trucks end of shift.
@@kimberlyjohnson214 they don't wash the trucks where I am at (ohio)😭 the rain or snow does that for us lol we can't even get folks to take their trash out end of tour and plug the engine block heaters in overnight 😔 it's a work in progress, the PVO program started back in spring of past year and is slowly coming along, i only been there a few weeks and came in as a PTF not FTR so i can't bid, gotta climb that seniority totem pole. I think USPS is building a new VMF near the plant, leasing a lot of tractors and box trucks, it's a mess....

@jamesp9926 Why ca😢the government pay 100% of insurance
I would settle for just 100% cola and 6 years!
No cola and $45 per hour would be great.
