I wish I had found this video when I started troubleshooting my furnace. My thermostat had worked fine for a year but then when I tried running the furnace for the first time this year it wouldn't fire up. Turns out the thermostat got set to a heat pump system somehow. Not sure how it happened but it's now running the furnace properly again. Thx
For the honeywell rth6580wf is it possible to change the hysteresis or swing?

I have a gas furnace, t-stat was factory set on option 6. (Cool) blinking with no cooling. Switched to 5, thanks to your video. Operating properly.🎉
I am having trouble with this thermostat. After I registered the thermostat, the screen turned off and will not turn back on. I have tried all troubleshooting tips listed in the troubleshooting guide for this issue. It turned on for a few seconds after turning the breaker off and then back on.
I am having trouble registering this thermostat. Keeps saying unsuccessful. I am not sure how to wire my central air unit to the control board. I had to run new wires because the HVAC company that installed my Rheem, didn't install both stages of the furnace. If I connect the wires that were on before, they may be wrong. I have a one stage central air unit.
