- In this video I show how I make a diy lego sorter from cheap plywood. With the lego sifter you can sort and organise your lego by size, making it easier to find the parts that you are looking for.
It is especially useful to find the smallest parts that otherwise end up under in your lego storage crates. No fancy woodworking or joinery, just a simple and straightforward project. It’s not really meant to be a how-to, but it might help if you decide to built one.

What I’ve learned:
sift small amounts at the time
-lay out the holes closer to the sides
You should router a bevel in the holes. Helps the Lego to tilt and fall through. 👍
Excellent idea, thanks!
thank you for sharing the plans
You're welcome!
I’m going to sneak around and build one at work from scrap material. I’ll do it on company time hopefully I don’t get caught/fired. But I really need to sort a boat load of Lego
Did you get caught/fired?
No not yet. I’ve been sorting Lego here at work for 6 weeks now. No one has noticed 😎
Thanks for the video and the plans you are indeed a legend ;-)
haha, thanks! Have fun with the build.
Additional tip from a viewer is to chamfer the edges of the holes, helps the lego to fall through and not get stuck.
Mate you are a legend!
Haha, thanks!
Thank you!
