Can I thank you for this set up video. I followed your instructions on the Advanced Settings and it worked perfectly. My Mixtrack Pro II is working perfectly now .
+Nohaib Farooqui The reason for the headphones, is so that you can moniter your mixing, so say you are mixing two tracks together, in order to sync them together you need to hear the track, but at the same time you don't want it playing in the master, so it just lets you monitor your mixing.
Sparki Dee Oh right, well this mapping is mainly made for VDJ7 and might work for VDJ8. So my answer is no it will no work for VDJ6, I advice you to upgrade :)
Thanks! :D Yea to delete cue point press and hold the shift button on the controller, while in cue section on the bottom on the effects buttons, and while pressing an holding press the delete button indicated in white, then you will see them flashing, then just press the cue point you want to delete and they'll be gone, to turn off repeat and they should stop flashing, hope this helps :)
Hey your tutorial worked great. I was able to do the mapping on my VDJ PRO 7 perfectly and even the technical portion (well at least to me)of assigning each deck to it's own channel and for the head set as well. The only problem I'm having now is what sounds like a popping. crackling, cut off sound in my head set and some times it comes out on the external speakers. I believe it has something to do with latency. please if you have any comment and or suggestions on that I would greatly appreciate any advise on it.... THANX!!!... = )
Thanks, i am happy to no this tutorial worked for you and i am not really sure about the crackling sound, you will get it in the speakers normally when using AUX there is the crackling from feedback, but in the headset have you tried using it in the computer to see if it does the same thing, it might be a problem with the cable of your headset other then that sorry i'm not sure.
Dj Spiros Good question i'm not entirely certain that virtual DJ HOME will work, but my advice would be to try it. But be prepared to have to pay for it incase it doesn't work. I've never tried it myself and now i no longer have any gear i can map i cant try, so i wish you luck and hope it'll work with the free version. And thanks :)

+Viorel Galan I think that you might want to watch the video, it will tell you how to get it working with the mappings it all depends on what version you have, if 2 this will work, if 1 then download the mappings for that. If 3 then you will need to buy Virtual DJ 8 with the mappings applied to it on the offer. If it is not working even then, try and different USB and make sure your computer has the latest USB driver and make sure it is full up-to-date.
Hi there, everything was working until a month ago. I can't seem to separate the aheadphone output from the main output, and pressing the CUE button just makes it louder out of the speaker. Any suggestions? Could it be the soundcard in the mixer?
LoneXpython Hi, i'm sorry to here that. Okay well i have seen this problem before, one question are you using the default soundcard setting? Because i have found that that doesn't work, and i myself got that problem. If so, i would recommend you do my tips I gave on the video to do the sound set-up by yourself with the "Advanced Settings" option, it's not as complicated as you may think. Then see if it starts working, it looks like Virtual DJ has just got the outputs wrong. But even if you have done my steps maybe a long time ago, i would recommend you do them all over again because sometimes for some reason the outputs just change out of the blue. As for if it is the soundcard, i highly doubt it, i don't think it'd fail, if it did fail the audio wouldn't be playing at all. I hope this helps ;)

Michael Alhoshe Hay, I personally have not used virtual DJ 8, so i can't say i will give a definite advice. However, when you are wanting to change the effect of the effect bank, you have to press the shift key for the corresponding deck, your going to change. Then you can spin the nob above the effect bank you want to change, as in the first, second or third bank. If this is not your problem, then does this change the effect at all? in that case, the mapping you have is not going to be compatible with virtual DJ 8, unless you no how to map a device to the software. In that event i don't have enough knowledge of virtual DJ 8 to help you. I hope this helps. :D
Dude, your video was awesome and helpful but I got one thing, When when deck 2 is playing in my headphones, and deck 1 on speakers, how can I play deck 2 on speakers after deck 1 is finished, and do this over and over again?
Well, it sounds like you may have set something's wrong, if set-up properly you should get deck 1 and 2 able to play though your speakers, and get the headphones playing as long as it's set to master or cue and you press the corresponding cue button to play that track, your headphone should work as well, did you do the Advanced Set-Up i showed? If so did you follow along with me? Because if you have it may be set wrongly to your device, every mixtrack pro ii's sound cards are slightly different, so just do trial-and-error by setting different output sources, and every time, like i did in this video, check that the component your setting is working correctly if the second deck work's after setting deck one then do your headphones and then deck two, normally at this point, if you don't do that you will get the, well... exact problem you have, i hope this helps, if you have any other problem's I am willing to help so yea thanks :D

And if you do need to buy i do not support free downloads or cracking so my advice is to just buy the one-time payment offer for your mixtrack pro ii, this will be pre-mapped and fairly cheap.
I put the mapper and device in the correct folders but it does not show up in VDJ when I go to mappers. I only have the keyboard option available. Any ideas of what the problem might be?

Ok, well first of all you need to make sure your nob in the middle of the device called CUE MIX, is set to CUE, if it's set to PGM or master output, it'll play the master audio, basically the same as your speakers, so if it's set to CUE by spinning it around it will allow you to press the CUE button's to play audio, hope this helps, if you are not receiving any sound at all in your headphone you have probably set you device to the wrong output, just make sure that you do trial-and-error, setting different outputs to each device, until both decks play audio in the speakers, and the headphones to what you need them to do, so again i hope this helps, i am always here to help if you have any other problems, so don't hesitate to ask.

But i will say i highly doubt it, mappings tell the computer where all the buttons are, so the mixtrack pro 3 is designed differently, so yes but no not at all. The only solution at the moment, you might hate me or love me for saying this. The only way is to go to the virtualdj website and buy the virtualdj pro 8 for the mixtrack pro 3 specifically by doing that you get one licence for life, go here: www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html third option and input your controller and you get it for $99. Yes i know it's pricey, but right now it is your only option. Sorry, hope this helps.

caleb smith You will see in the middle of the controller, in the mixer section (in between the 2 decks) and inbetwen the 3 band EQ's (Bass, Mid and Treble) and the Browse nob's 2 nob's named "CUE MIX" and "CUE GAIN". Make sure the "CUE MIX" is turned all the way to "PGM" and the "CUE GAIN" is set to max or where ever you need. I hope this helps :D
ive tried all the outputs for my headphones for some reason i can hear both tracks playing at the same time through my headphones and my cues are correct but i can still hear both tunes?
+Diane Ferrino hi, yes i have seen this strange problem before. not with the mixtrack pro ii but, i have seen it happen on other devices, so i know i see it when i have tracks that are not analyzed, so go to google and search for how to analyze all tracks on Virtual DJ. i hope this fixes the problem. otherwise make sure your mappings are install correctly. other then that i don't no what to recommend, other then to just turn it off and back on again maybe a few times until it works, do this everytime it happens should fix it eventually. like i said i have to do this every once in a while. i hope this helps ;) DJAppyD

HI!... how do i set my settings to use my headphones to mix music more smoothly?? i can't seem to set it correctly. Either it play in the headphones and through the speaker or just the speaker.. Can you help?
Set it up like i told you in the video. Then just plug your speakers into your mixtrack pro ii or iii. Once you done that plug your headphones into the mixer as well then use the CUE or MASTER knob, when in MASTER you can hear the speakers when in CUE you can hear what you selected on the headphone buttons in the middle of the unit, but without being effected by the volume controls on the mixer excluding the GAIN knob.

Jxvr Hi, firstly what this problem sounds like is a problem with the headphone cue. In the middle of the controller (Mixtrack Pro II) you will see two knobs, they are in between to the the bass, mids and lows and the big select button. The one on top will say "CUE GAIN" and the one on the bottom will say "CUE MIX" that one on the bottom needs to be changed to completely "PGM" because "CUE" is basically for listening to audio at a constant volume regardless of what the mixer faders on on, as long as you have the corresponding "CUE" buttons for the left and right deck turned on. As such the more towards the "PGM" you are the more of your speaker audio you will hear in your headphones, but the more towards the "CUE" the more you hear of the constant volume "CUE" volume. I hope this helps.
brainiack101 I'm not sure, i think you might be able to map Virtual DJ Home, but I'm sure that yes it has to be Virtual DJ Pro, but it's worth a try...
How would I make it work without the need for headphones? I just want to use the decks by themselves, and hear the music through the computer's soundcard and not the Mixtrack's.
LanCeeXD You just don't set-up headphone's but you'd have trouble cueing and syncing the tracks up... You can you just need to set up the audio devices without the headphones and then plug your speakers into the master out on the back. You have to use the mixtracks soundcard so everything is processed and put together and helps with latency and things like that otherwise they wouldn't put one in. Thanks and i hope this helps :)
DJAppyD I don't have enough money for decks, I still need another 70-80 quid. When I get them, I'll try it out. Basically like I said, I just want to use the decks as a controller and record the sets with Virtual DJ. Like DJing with a mouse, but instead of a mouse you use decks.
Oh right, well i hope you can afford it soon :D Yea what you want to do will work perfectly even when you set this up the record function is still fine and working. Yea what i'm showing will do everything for you and you'll realize that if your not using sync you really will need headphones, it comes in handy when you upgrade to stuff without sync :)
DJAppyD I just got Hercules DJControl Instinct, since those were the cheapest one I could afford (70 GBP) and I found out how to do it with DJControl Instinct: Get mapper files (since I'm on 7.0.5 and 8 is crap and confusing) Plug it in through USB Use the disc Install everything Move the mapper files Done I wanted my headphones still plugged in to the computer, but use the decks by themselves.

At this very moment in time, no one has released a 3rd party mapping, so this is the only way to do it.

Eamonn Magee Yes the mixtrack pro 2 will work on any software including traktor, serato, virtual DJ and maybe so others. As long as you can find a mapping for the peace of software you decide to use.
I've watched the video 3x and I can't seem to get the mixer to sync with the virtual dj pro on my computer. When I go to configure and then the mapper settings the only thing that shows is keyboard and simple MIDI wrapper. Help! :(
Nekisha Jones Hay Nekisha, urm ok. Firstly, you need to make sure you are using Virtual DJ 7 Pro and the Numark Mixtrack pro II with it plugged into the USB. Once the mapping have been put in the mappings and devices folder (making sure virtual dj is not open) or just restart Virtual DJ should do it, and then go to mappings and it should show up if it doesn't, make sure the files are definitively extracted, (sorry i'm being really simple but i'm just making sure we're on the same level here). If that's all done i can't see why it might not be showing up, maybe try uninstalling virtual DJ (saying yes to delete settings), restarting your computer and re-installing, doing what i said on the video with virtual DJ 7 closed off and then once in both folders open virtual DJ and it should be in mappers. I hope this helps, i knows it's a bit long but yea again i hope it helps :)
So in my virtual dj folder/mappers is: keyboard mapping, Generic MIDI mapping, mixtrack pro II Device, Numark Mixtrack pro II mapper and mixtrack pro II traktor pro mapping (windows) is that too many things to have in the folder? And Yes I do have virtual dj 7
Ah, the "mixtrack pro ii device" file is in the mapping folder? I think that's the problem, it needs to be in the Devices folder, so that it gets recognized by virtual DJ as a device.
How do I Change The Brake Effect To The Flanger Effect. I know the brake effect come default as FX1 with the code var "shift" ? loop 1 : effect 1 activ. Do You Know What is the Flanger Action Code. I want FX1 to be Flanger
You need to press and hold down the shift button on the deck of preference, then spin the nob above the effects pad of preference, then you will see the effects changing as you spin the nob choose the effect of choice then let go of the shift button and that effect will be set to that effect pad for you to use.

Yes from what I've read up it should work, the same MIDI messages go though the unit, only the sound setup you'll have to do and do the trail and error with because the mixtrack 2 uses a different sound card set-up, so yes everything other then the default setting for the sound set-up, which as i showed in the video it doesn't always work for the mixtrack pro 2, hope this work's for you! With the Pioneer WeGo, no it wouldn't you need to get completely different mappings, you shouldn't need to as i think it comes with LE (limited edition), everything will be set up for you

Hi mate, yea sorry i am aware in this video for demonstrative purposes used a crack version, but i don't condone the use of cracked non-paid versions of software. So i am afraid all i can do is point you to look elsewhere or buy the product, if you buy it for the Numark it's not too expensive and it's a one time payment.
+DJAppyD Hi mate, just saw this video: there is a simpler solution: at sound card select numark, at output select headphones. a drop down menu opens. select master 1,2 headphones 3,4. that should work. if you want to use your second method of advanced config, instead of deck 1 select master and output 1,2. then select headphones and select 3,4. that should work.

Vincent Valenzuela Hay, sadly the mappings that i have provided don't work for Virtual DJ 8, you will need to go and download virtual DJ 7 and install it, when you open it, everytime you will get a message saying get the latest update just say no and you will keep with Virtual DJ 7 and the mappings and the Numark Mixtrack Pro II will work for you. There may or may not be mappings that allow the Mixtrack Pro II to work on virtual DJ 8, so if you really need or want to keep with the most up-to-date and more buggy one then i would recommend you do some research... Mark Carlin Hay Mark, The audio that is going into the mixer will not play out of your PC Speakers it will only come out of your headphone mixing and your Master Output on the mixer itself. Firstly i think your problem might be caused by your computers default payback device, if you don't no how to change this then all you need to do on windows is go down to the bottom-right where you will see you volume controller the speaker facing right and audio coming out. Then you need to right-click on it and go to "Payback devices", Once you have done that it will come with you sound devices. You will see a bunch of audio devices, one will say Mixtrack Pro II... If that one says default device, you will need to go to the one that says Realtek or anything other then mixtrack that shows it is a speaker. Then once you do that, the sound should now be playing.

pgriffin22 Hay, so you've put the mapping in the folder i presume? If so, do you have virtual DJ Home or Pro? to my knowledge it doesn't work on Home, as mainly the folder shouldn't have been there before, if you had to make it then you don't have pro. Hope this helps :)

It should be the same, go to the folder virtual DJ and put the mappings and devices in, i believe the mappings are universal? not sure, hope it works for you! :D
ashleigh Reid Have you made sure that you put the Mappers into the "Mappers" Folder and the Device into the "Devices" Folder? Have You Downloaded The Mappings for the mixtrack pro 2? at this link: community.numark.com/numark/topics/mixtrack_pro_ii_maps_virtual_dj_pro_and_traktor_pro_2 just click on Virtual DJ. if you have done all that then have you made sure that you went to the Config button right at the top right of Virtual DJ and clicked on the Mappings Tab, To Then Click On The Menu Box Saying Either "Keyboard" or "Numark MixTrack PRO II" make sure it is set to "Numark MixTrack PRO II". And if you have done all that and it still don't work or doesn't work, then please give me more details, does the device light up when you plug into the USB? Can you use the Serato DJ that came free for it? Do You Have Virutal DJ PRO as it might not work with HOME?
What might be causing you this problem is if you have a Mixtrack pro iii, as it says on my annotation at the start, this method and mapping doesn't work for Mixtrack pro iii, and there is no third party mapping for it. You need, that is a have to (only option) go to www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html on 8 plus "controller" select your device and pay the $99 lifetime licence. It is the only way to get it mapped.
Ok well i reccomend following my instructions entirely. If that didn't work then uninstall virtualdj completely and then get virtualdj 7 (if possible) and then follow my steps exactly, then it should work. Virtual DJ 8 might cause a problem.
matthew kumar Hay, Well if you have no devices folder, do you have VirtualDJ Pro? if so, have you loaded the software before. If you have VirtualDJ Home then you will no have the driver as for getting VirtualDJ PRO i'll leave that up to you're decision.

David Venegas Hay, Are you sure you done all the steps? I mean have you done the sound bit at 5:00? If so did you follow my instructions exactly? If you have then you shouldn't have when doing the sound bit you need to make sure that you just try one of the outputs and see if it works and do trial and error until every feature that you need is set-up is set-up and working. I hope this helps.
DJAppyD yea i did. But i manage to fix my problem by putting my computer in safe mode with networking. I updated the driver and now my controller works fine. I think in some cases that people have this is the last resort to use.

DJ HATESOUNDS They should just work straight after you have put the mapping and the device files in the folders. If not then make sure you are using my mappings and if you are using Virtual DJ 8 then i think it might not work, it'd be easier if you have Virtual DJ 7 :)

Hi DJAppy, i'm new into djing, and i've just bought a Numark Mixtrack PRO. I have connected the usb and i have virtual dj - yet no command is working from the mixer, only when i do it from my laptop. Could you help me out ? Thank you very much!
+Viorel Galan I think that you might want to watch the video, it will tell you how to get it working with the mappings it all depends on what version you have, if 2 this will work, if 1 then download the mappings for that. If 3 then you will need to buy Virtual DJ 8 with the mappings applied to it on the offer. If it is not working even then, try and different USB and make sure your computer has the latest USB driver and make sure it is full up-to-date.
Hi there, everything was working until a month ago. I can't seem to separate the aheadphone output from the main output, and pressing the CUE button just makes it louder out of the speaker. Any suggestions? Could it be the soundcard in the mixer?
LoneXpython Hi, i'm sorry to here that. Okay well i have seen this problem before, one question are you using the default soundcard setting? Because i have found that that doesn't work, and i myself got that problem. If so, i would recommend you do my tips I gave on the video to do the sound set-up by yourself with the "Advanced Settings" option, it's not as complicated as you may think. Then see if it starts working, it looks like Virtual DJ has just got the outputs wrong. But even if you have done my steps maybe a long time ago, i would recommend you do them all over again because sometimes for some reason the outputs just change out of the blue. As for if it is the soundcard, i highly doubt it, i don't think it'd fail, if it did fail the audio wouldn't be playing at all. I hope this helps ;)

hello , this worked perfectly for me , the only problem im having is how can i remap the effects? in vdj 8 u have the option to see all the 3 effects and change them , but here i can only change the main one and the others are always the same , pls help , thanks!
Michael Alhoshe Hay, I personally have not used virtual DJ 8, so i can't say i will give a definite advice. However, when you are wanting to change the effect of the effect bank, you have to press the shift key for the corresponding deck, your going to change. Then you can spin the nob above the effect bank you want to change, as in the first, second or third bank. If this is not your problem, then does this change the effect at all? in that case, the mapping you have is not going to be compatible with virtual DJ 8, unless you no how to map a device to the software. In that event i don't have enough knowledge of virtual DJ 8 to help you. I hope this helps. :D

Dude, your video was awesome and helpful but I got one thing, When when deck 2 is playing in my headphones, and deck 1 on speakers, how can I play deck 2 on speakers after deck 1 is finished, and do this over and over again?
Well, it sounds like you may have set something's wrong, if set-up properly you should get deck 1 and 2 able to play though your speakers, and get the headphones playing as long as it's set to master or cue and you press the corresponding cue button to play that track, your headphone should work as well, did you do the Advanced Set-Up i showed? If so did you follow along with me? Because if you have it may be set wrongly to your device, every mixtrack pro ii's sound cards are slightly different, so just do trial-and-error by setting different output sources, and every time, like i did in this video, check that the component your setting is working correctly if the second deck work's after setting deck one then do your headphones and then deck two, normally at this point, if you don't do that you will get the, well... exact problem you have, i hope this helps, if you have any other problem's I am willing to help so yea thanks :D

And if you do need to buy i do not support free downloads or cracking so my advice is to just buy the one-time payment offer for your mixtrack pro ii, this will be pre-mapped and fairly cheap.
I put the mapper and device in the correct folders but it does not show up in VDJ when I go to mappers. I only have the keyboard option available. Any ideas of what the problem might be?

Ok, well first of all you need to make sure your nob in the middle of the device called CUE MIX, is set to CUE, if it's set to PGM or master output, it'll play the master audio, basically the same as your speakers, so if it's set to CUE by spinning it around it will allow you to press the CUE button's to play audio, hope this helps, if you are not receiving any sound at all in your headphone you have probably set you device to the wrong output, just make sure that you do trial-and-error, setting different outputs to each device, until both decks play audio in the speakers, and the headphones to what you need them to do, so again i hope this helps, i am always here to help if you have any other problems, so don't hesitate to ask.

But i will say i highly doubt it, mappings tell the computer where all the buttons are, so the mixtrack pro 3 is designed differently, so yes but no not at all. The only solution at the moment, you might hate me or love me for saying this. The only way is to go to the virtualdj website and buy the virtualdj pro 8 for the mixtrack pro 3 specifically by doing that you get one licence for life, go here: www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html third option and input your controller and you get it for $99. Yes i know it's pricey, but right now it is your only option. Sorry, hope this helps.

caleb smith You will see in the middle of the controller, in the mixer section (in between the 2 decks) and inbetwen the 3 band EQ's (Bass, Mid and Treble) and the Browse nob's 2 nob's named "CUE MIX" and "CUE GAIN". Make sure the "CUE MIX" is turned all the way to "PGM" and the "CUE GAIN" is set to max or where ever you need. I hope this helps :D

ive tried all the outputs for my headphones for some reason i can hear both tracks playing at the same time through my headphones and my cues are correct but i can still hear both tunes?

+Diane Ferrino hi, yes i have seen this strange problem before. not with the mixtrack pro ii but, i have seen it happen on other devices, so i know i see it when i have tracks that are not analyzed, so go to google and search for how to analyze all tracks on Virtual DJ. i hope this fixes the problem. otherwise make sure your mappings are install correctly. other then that i don't no what to recommend, other then to just turn it off and back on again maybe a few times until it works, do this everytime it happens should fix it eventually. like i said i have to do this every once in a while. i hope this helps ;) DJAppyD

HI!... how do i set my settings to use my headphones to mix music more smoothly?? i can't seem to set it correctly. Either it play in the headphones and through the speaker or just the speaker.. Can you help?
Set it up like i told you in the video. Then just plug your speakers into your mixtrack pro ii or iii. Once you done that plug your headphones into the mixer as well then use the CUE or MASTER knob, when in MASTER you can hear the speakers when in CUE you can hear what you selected on the headphone buttons in the middle of the unit, but without being effected by the volume controls on the mixer excluding the GAIN knob.

Jxvr Hi, firstly what this problem sounds like is a problem with the headphone cue. In the middle of the controller (Mixtrack Pro II) you will see two knobs, they are in between to the the bass, mids and lows and the big select button. The one on top will say "CUE GAIN" and the one on the bottom will say "CUE MIX" that one on the bottom needs to be changed to completely "PGM" because "CUE" is basically for listening to audio at a constant volume regardless of what the mixer faders on on, as long as you have the corresponding "CUE" buttons for the left and right deck turned on. As such the more towards the "PGM" you are the more of your speaker audio you will hear in your headphones, but the more towards the "CUE" the more you hear of the constant volume "CUE" volume. I hope this helps.

How would I make it work without the need for headphones? I just want to use the decks by themselves, and hear the music through the computer's soundcard and not the Mixtrack's.
LanCeeXD You just don't set-up headphone's but you'd have trouble cueing and syncing the tracks up... You can you just need to set up the audio devices without the headphones and then plug your speakers into the master out on the back. You have to use the mixtracks soundcard so everything is processed and put together and helps with latency and things like that otherwise they wouldn't put one in. Thanks and i hope this helps :)
DJAppyD I don't have enough money for decks, I still need another 70-80 quid. When I get them, I'll try it out. Basically like I said, I just want to use the decks as a controller and record the sets with Virtual DJ. Like DJing with a mouse, but instead of a mouse you use decks.
Oh right, well i hope you can afford it soon :D Yea what you want to do will work perfectly even when you set this up the record function is still fine and working. Yea what i'm showing will do everything for you and you'll realize that if your not using sync you really will need headphones, it comes in handy when you upgrade to stuff without sync :)
DJAppyD I just got Hercules DJControl Instinct, since those were the cheapest one I could afford (70 GBP) and I found out how to do it with DJControl Instinct:
Get mapper files (since I'm on 7.0.5 and 8 is crap and confusing)
Plug it in through USB
Use the disc
Install everything
Move the mapper files
Done
I wanted my headphones still plugged in to the computer, but use the decks by themselves.

At this very moment in time, no one has released a 3rd party mapping, so this is the only way to do it.

I've watched the video 3x and I can't seem to get the mixer to sync with the virtual dj pro on my computer. When I go to configure and then the mapper settings the only thing that shows is keyboard and simple MIDI wrapper. Help! :(
Nekisha Jones Hay Nekisha, urm ok. Firstly, you need to make sure you are using Virtual DJ 7 Pro and the Numark Mixtrack pro II with it plugged into the USB. Once the mapping have been put in the mappings and devices folder (making sure virtual dj is not open) or just restart Virtual DJ should do it, and then go to mappings and it should show up if it doesn't, make sure the files are definitively extracted, (sorry i'm being really simple but i'm just making sure we're on the same level here). If that's all done i can't see why it might not be showing up, maybe try uninstalling virtual DJ (saying yes to delete settings), restarting your computer and re-installing, doing what i said on the video with virtual DJ 7 closed off and then once in both folders open virtual DJ and it should be in mappers. I hope this helps, i knows it's a bit long but yea again i hope it helps :)
So in my virtual dj folder/mappers is: keyboard mapping, Generic MIDI mapping, mixtrack pro II Device, Numark Mixtrack pro II mapper and mixtrack pro II traktor pro mapping (windows) is that too many things to have in the folder? And Yes I do have virtual dj 7
Ah, the "mixtrack pro ii device" file is in the mapping folder? I think that's the problem, it needs to be in the Devices folder, so that it gets recognized by virtual DJ as a device.

You need to press and hold down the shift button on the deck of preference, then spin the nob above the effects pad of preference, then you will see the effects changing as you spin the nob choose the effect of choice then let go of the shift button and that effect will be set to that effect pad for you to use.

Yes from what I've read up it should work, the same MIDI messages go though the unit, only the sound setup you'll have to do and do the trail and error with because the mixtrack 2 uses a different sound card set-up, so yes everything other then the default setting for the sound set-up, which as i showed in the video it doesn't always work for the mixtrack pro 2, hope this work's for you! With the Pioneer WeGo, no it wouldn't you need to get completely different mappings, you shouldn't need to as i think it comes with LE (limited edition), everything will be set up for you

Hi mate, yea sorry i am aware in this video for demonstrative purposes used a crack version, but i don't condone the use of cracked non-paid versions of software. So i am afraid all i can do is point you to look elsewhere or buy the product, if you buy it for the Numark it's not too expensive and it's a one time payment.

+DJAppyD Hi mate, just saw this video: there is a simpler solution: at sound card select numark, at output select headphones. a drop down menu opens. select master 1,2 headphones 3,4. that should work. if you want to use your second method of advanced config, instead of deck 1 select master and output 1,2. then select headphones and select 3,4. that should work.

Vincent Valenzuela Hay, sadly the mappings that i have provided don't work for Virtual DJ 8, you will need to go and download virtual DJ 7 and install it, when you open it, everytime you will get a message saying get the latest update just say no and you will keep with Virtual DJ 7 and the mappings and the Numark Mixtrack Pro II will work for you. There may or may not be mappings that allow the Mixtrack Pro II to work on virtual DJ 8, so if you really need or want to keep with the most up-to-date and more buggy one then i would recommend you do some research... Mark Carlin Hay Mark, The audio that is going into the mixer will not play out of your PC Speakers it will only come out of your headphone mixing and your Master Output on the mixer itself. Firstly i think your problem might be caused by your computers default payback device, if you don't no how to change this then all you need to do on windows is go down to the bottom-right where you will see you volume controller the speaker facing right and audio coming out. Then you need to right-click on it and go to "Payback devices", Once you have done that it will come with you sound devices. You will see a bunch of audio devices, one will say Mixtrack Pro II... If that one says default device, you will need to go to the one that says Realtek or anything other then mixtrack that shows it is a speaker. Then once you do that, the sound should now be playing.

pgriffin22 Hay, so you've put the mapping in the folder i presume? If so, do you have virtual DJ Home or Pro? to my knowledge it doesn't work on Home, as mainly the folder shouldn't have been there before, if you had to make it then you don't have pro. Hope this helps :)

It should be the same, go to the folder virtual DJ and put the mappings and devices in, i believe the mappings are universal? not sure, hope it works for you! :D

Have You Downloaded The Mappings for the mixtrack pro 2? at this link: community.numark.com/numark/topics/mixtrack_pro_ii_maps_virtual_dj_pro_and_traktor_pro_2 just click on Virtual DJ. if you have done all that then have you made sure that you went to the Config button right at the top right of Virtual DJ and clicked on the Mappings Tab, To Then Click On The Menu Box Saying Either "Keyboard" or "Numark MixTrack PRO II" make sure it is set to "Numark MixTrack PRO II". And if you have done all that and it still don't work or doesn't work, then please give me more details, does the device light up when you plug into the USB? Can you use the Serato DJ that came free for it? Do You Have Virutal DJ PRO as it might not work with HOME?

What might be causing you this problem is if you have a Mixtrack pro iii, as it says on my annotation at the start, this method and mapping doesn't work for Mixtrack pro iii, and there is no third party mapping for it. You need, that is a have to (only option) go to www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html on 8 plus "controller" select your device and pay the $99 lifetime licence. It is the only way to get it mapped.

Ok well i reccomend following my instructions entirely. If that didn't work then uninstall virtualdj completely and then get virtualdj 7 (if possible) and then follow my steps exactly, then it should work. Virtual DJ 8 might cause a problem.

matthew kumar Hay, Well if you have no devices folder, do you have VirtualDJ Pro? if so, have you loaded the software before. If you have VirtualDJ Home then you will no have the driver as for getting VirtualDJ PRO i'll leave that up to you're decision.

David Venegas Hay, Are you sure you done all the steps? I mean have you done the sound bit at 5:00? If so did you follow my instructions exactly? If you have then you shouldn't have when doing the sound bit you need to make sure that you just try one of the outputs and see if it works and do trial and error until every feature that you need is set-up is set-up and working. DJAppyD yea i did. But i manage to fix my problem by putting my computer in safe mode with networking. I updated the driver and now my controller works fine. I think in some cases that people have this is the last resort to use.

DJ HATESOUNDS They should just work straight after you have put the mapping and the device files in the folders. If not then make sure you are using my mappings and if you are using Virtual DJ 8 then i think it might not work, it'd be easier if you have Virtual DJ 7 :)
