Beautiful truck. I've got a 2010 Ridgeline RTL now and from March 2005-mid 2009 I had a 2006 RTL. I absolutely LOVE the first generation Ridgelines. Always happy to see others enjoying them as well.

Like your mods, I have a 2008 with 170,000 mi. Bought it new and will never get rid of it. I upgraded headlights to LED's including a strip below headlights in my bumper fake vent. New Upholstered seats with a high quality leather on seats, door rests, headrests and center council. Upgraded stereo to a Panasonic with android auto and apple car play and you can mirror your Google maps to screen.
Nice job dude, have done a few mods on my 2014 RTL including Borla exhaust, Honda black sport grill, custom wheels......my 2nd Ridgeline.....runs great, love the lockable bed.....high high highly recommend!!!!
I have that same exhaust on my 07 Ridgeline. I thought it sounded good but as you mentioned, it did sound loud and droned at 65mph. I had a muffler shop take out the resonator from the magnaflow and install the stock exhaust’s resonator. The exhaust sound was definitely a lot lower but still sounds great and the droning was completely gone. I recommend you go that route if you’re still experiencing the droning. Great mods on your truck and great video!

I am picking up an '09 RTL tomorrow. was in at used car dealer where I recently got a Highlander. saw the Honda and thought it was better for my needs (including kayak hauling). Wrote a check for the difference and will get it first thing.
A few of the mods mentioned here will be on my list. Big fan of Weather tech. Have some that just arrived fro my wife's car. Going to have to call again tomorrow.

I love my 2010. Fits in my garage - KEY POINT for me. I added a few mods - using a door lock actuator, I added a locking tailgate function to the truck (There is a step by step instruction guide on the Ridgeline Owners Forum - The black ridgeline is mine...)so with my backflip and the tailgate locked, cargo is out of sight and somewhat safe. Added a ladder rack specific for gen 1 and that works with the backflip. Made an always hot USB to the front for charging, added after market radio, added subwoofer under driver seat (mfg OEM still present, but disconnected). All speakers replaced. Added sound deadening - helps with the road chatter. Great little truck. If I need a heavy truck, I will use the appropriate truck for the job. For just about everything I do, the RL gen 1 is perfect.
Oh yeah, added a fumoto oil change valve... So much easier to change oil. I still am too lazy and normally have a friend do it and pay him. It makes it easy for him.

@9:11, the exhaust sounds like it's saying "Honda" LOL. I have a 2006 RTL that I bought with 6K miles on it. I only have 122K miles, I love this truck and all of its functionality and storage and yes, the dual purpose tailgate is really one of the coolest features. That, and the trunk always blows people's minds if they aren't familiar with the old school Ridgeline. The newest generation is just too small for my liking and just looks like an Odyssey with the back chopped off. Thanks for the video!

I was wondering what you are using for LED replacements for your headlamps, turn signals, fog lamps, brake lights, and cargo lights. Why not on the outside of the radiator screen, somewhat like the 2 bar design of the 2006 or so Honda Pilot?
I am trying to find out information about the turn signals. Been reading the information on the Amazon page you linked to, but can't find the answer to my question. When I put in the new turn signals, will the daylight running lights come on automatically when I start the truck, or is there something else I need to do? Will I need to turn on my lights? I have been thinking about installing daylight running lights and this may be the solution I need.
I wanted to know if you ever had problems with your heated seats I have the same year and I need to fix my heated seats the fuse is good and I don't know what to look after that thank you

Actually I have had battery problems. Ive never upgraded my battery. Tipically it goes bad right before the warranty expires so I just swap it for a new one for free lol. Thanks for watching!

I see you have a bass boat in some of your videos, how does the ridgeline do towing it? I just got a ridgeline and I have a 16’ Astro with a 50hp and curious how it’s gonna do.
I have same truck and regularly pull a Scout 175 Sportfish/Yamaha 100 with it-often loaded down with gear and w the whole family in the truck. Absolutely no problems towing. You won’t forget it’s back there, but the truck pulls it at highway speed (80+ here near Atlanta) with no complaint.
Yes I tow a 19' center console with a yammy 115 and it tows it fine. Rear could be a little stiffer, but as alex stated, it pulls it!

Did you need anything special to install the OPT7 light? Adapters, connectors, etc.
I recently purchased a 48" OPT7 bar like the one in the video. I also researched a lot of other DIY install videos on them. The issue I'm having (and would greatly appreciate a response on) is how were you able to connect if from the rear of the trailer lights connecter? I even purchased a separate CURT #56584 adapter so you don't have to hard-wire the reverse cable... The trailer hitch connecter on the Ridgeline (mine is a 2013 RTL) doesn't seem to disconnect from the back (i.e., plug and play). Would greatly appreciate info on how you installed yours!!!

@@sofakingtim Thank you for your message. Yes, I did watch the video you included. The issue (known by OPT7) is that the Ridgeline doesn't have a 4-pin connector (as is on the RAM truck in the video) so there is no way to initially "test" the bar. The other issue (known by OPT7), is the Ridgeline's 7-pin connector is a one-piece unit that does not disconnect from the back (as also is different from other truck manufacturer's trucks that I've seen on other YT videos). To do this "plug and play", one has to purchase a separate connector and housing unit from CURT but I also can't seem to get anyone from CURT to confirm the correct replacement part(s).... If you know of another way (without getting into splicing wires), I would appreciate some direction! TY!

Just got a 2006 Ridgeline, catching up on all the maintenance now, have you replaced the timing belt or radiator mine has 150k on it,don't know anything on the history
I am at 190k in my 2007. I replaced the plugs at about 80k. Just replaced them again along with the ignition coils. Mine were looking bad when I pulled them. I recently saw a video on bypassing the transmission line going into the radiatior. Basically it takes that line and runs it back into the transmission. The poster said the cooler in front of the radiator is enough to keep the transmission cool. I don't do any regular towing, so I may try that mod. I've replaced my timing belt twice, the last time with the water pump. I have changed the oil between 3-5k miles and do other regular maintenance. I agree, maintenance is a lot cheaper than a car payment. Good luck. I love my Ridgeline.

don't worry about the mods, it has a crappy transmission, my 2017 has only 23287 miles on it and now the tranny is bad, will never have another one of these junk trucks.
it is very likely you got a lemon,,,,,, these trucks are spoke well of by most owners,, bad transmission can happen in any auto,,,,i am sure you have contacted a dealer by now,,best wishes and hope you resolve the issue,,
@@thomasdausch8557 have talked to the dealer, I believe they knew about this before they sold it but being just over the 5 year limit they basically told me it was my problem, I replaced the solenoid bank and refilled it with fluid and it solved the problem, the other problem was the VCM system which I shut off with a mod to shut it down, will be looking for a differn't dealer who hopefully is more honest.

@@VentureTube check the back side to see if it was a home job using readily-available mesh. I'm planning on something similar myself. I love my Honda but hate the big emblem. Not as bad as Dodge Ram, though.
