Usually you want a dry recording so that you can change effects of your instruments later. Why are you hoping to do that? When selected as the audio device in your software, an audio interface will essentially replace the computer's internal soundcard. Generally speaking, it isn't possible for the operating system to access and use multiple soundcards and audio devices simultaneously. As all audio is passing through the audio interface, you will need to connect headphones or monitor speakers to the audio interface.
Has anyone had any success using a Yamaha Silent Brass with the Scarlett Solo? The light on dial 2 indicates that it CAN hear my trumpet, but the direct monitor and FL studios both don’t seem to hear it
That won't allow you to hear any sounds that are passing through Scarlett. When connected to your computer via USB and selected as the audio input and output device, all audio passes through Scarlett, essentially replacing your computer's built-in soundcard. You will need to connect monitor speakers/headphones to Scarlett in order to hear sound from your computer. Your computer operating system isn't able to access and use multiple soundcards/audio interfaces concurrently so you can't select Scarlett as the audio input and your computer's soundcard as the audio output.
If you are working on Windows, you may want to reinstall/install the latest drivers from our website, as the newer update may require newer drivers. If you are on Mac you should reset the device in Focusrite control. While the application is open, go to File---->Restore factory defaults.
I keep hearing an echo from the interface. I hear myself from the interface itself and again in the fl studio, and I just want to hear myself only from the fl studio. This is very frustrating.
If you are using the Direct Monitor feature, you will want to mute the audio track that you are recording to in software as that can cause the kind of delay that you're describing. Alternatively, you can disable Direct Monitor and monitor from your DAW.

did everything but audio isnt responding on fl studio 21 used to work perfectly on fl studio 20 tho what do i do
If you are working on Windows, you may want to reinstall/install the latest drivers from our website, as the newer update may require newer drivers.
Alternatively, you can disable Direct Monitor and monitor from your DAW.
so how about using templets in fl studio 20.9.2 the easiest way please and thank you

Have you installed the driver yet? - downloads.focusrite.com/focusrite
Somebody please help me out with this.. I connected my cable in input1 to record an instrument but I'm getting a signal /a harm/disturbance without even connecting anything on the other end! Tried 4 different cables as well input2 , it's the same. I get the same harm even when I connect my instruments, initially i thought it was my instrument problem but then even after disconnecting Im getting a thin signal/disturbance and when I increase the gain, the harm increases... is this normal? M I supposed to get any signal at all without anything being connected?
Im using scarlet 2i2 3rd gen, FL studio20
Hi there, when you connect an instrument cable with nothing attached to it, it's likely you'll get some electrical hum. This is normal. A hum when instruments are connected could be caused by a number of things - we're happy to help troubleshoot. Reach out at bit.ly/FocusriteSupport.
i have the same exact focusrite in the video but I dont have the driver ... any help?

So… if the Scarlett is the input AND the output, how the hell do you hear what you’re recording or recording over…
You can monitor what you're recording, in real-time, without any noticeable latency using the direct monitor feature or you can monitor from your DAW.

Can i play karoake in this?
Yes, if you want to import karaoke tracks, and input monitor your microphone to use FL Studios effects, this would work. Although there are dedicated Karaoke programs which may be easier for this purpose.
hi sir how to record vocal with karaoke? pls
Once I switch my audio device from "FL Studio ASIO" to "Focusrite USB ASIO", I found that everything in my FL Studio (such as Metronome click, Drum Kit) sounds much louder than anything else outside of FL Studio (such as UA-cam) even though I set the same volume level. Is it normal? Please help me mate~
i know its been a yeaar but it most likey cause the interface itself is selt on a high volume- there is a knob next to the headphone jack where you can adjust the volume
I try record but its like nothing records through the mic ???
same
thanks
thank you
Anybody. Know how to use it on Mac fl?
Scarlett is plug-and-play on Mac, no driver is required. You just need to select your Scarlett as the audio device within FL Studio, as shown here - ua-cam.com/video/RPa7MalKBBc/v-deo.html
how to record VST with keyboard midi controller?
Afraid we don't fully understand your question. Can you elaborate? If you're hoping to control and record a performance using a plug-in, you will need to open the plug-in in a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) or Plug-In Host software. Our devices come bundled with a suite of software options that will allow you to do that. To access this software, you first need to register your Focusrite product on our website using your included 'Bundle Code'.
@@FocusriteHelp I use FL studio as my DAW and keyboard korg kross 2 as my instrument. Now I want to record sound from VST plugin like The Grandeur (Native Instruments product). In other word, I am not record sound from korg kross 2. Before I bought my focusrite scarlet 2i2 3rd gen, I used midi to usb cable to make my keyboard become a midi controller. But I have no idea to do that whit focusrite soundcard. Sorry I am bad in english. Thak you in advance for your response.
*with focusrite soundcard
@@kevinthennedy6859 Your Scarlett 2i2 should have no effect on that. You should find that you're still able to use your keyboard as a MIDI controller.
