it was just my personal thought.. accessibile ok, but they're the same that played Robbers for teenagers in the Tumblr era. It's a huge difference for me..
idk about that.. of course it’s super beautiful but what about it makes it mature? listen to “A brief inquiry into online relationships,” i feel that album is super “mature.” the lyrics are intellectual but still come from the heart. i would call their new style more adventurous and controlled (in the best way) if anything. not exactly “mature” or “not for everyone.”
I can't describe why I love this new era so much. Matty sounds so natural and comfortable up there, even if he may not be nailing every single note, it feels organic and raw. I feel like this song has existed for years and it brings me happiness every time I hear it
He's never been the best singer. Often uses live autotune at shows. But that's perfectly OK. They aren't trying to fake being Adele. They just have a good time and want everyone else to as well, and they make some serious BOPS in the process.
@@jackhamm7745 i mean the autotune use in live performance isn't for covering his imperfection tho, it's an intentional effect to make the vocal sound robotic
As a 62yr music fan, I have been aware of this band for a while, but never really listened closely to them. Whoa, that changed after watching this on Jools tonight, the band absolutely blew me away, what a performance, everyone in the band on top, and what a frontman Matty is! Brilliant!
So much talk about Matty's amazing performance and health, I think the instrumentals need some credit here. Absolutely incredible how tight they are together in the rhythm section and my god the melodies in the saxophone solo are just so perfectly thought out. Cant wait to see these guys live in December
When I watch the concerts the audience is, quite rightly, full of young vibrant individuals who love the music. Hahaha. HELLO! I'm 58, a decrepit old BAT and there isn't a single track on all 5 albums that I would skip. Trust me, I am as surprised as you are, gentle reader. The 1975 - thank you.
This is the best they ever sounded, matty looks so healthy and enjoying ... and the new faces of the live band sound amazing.. Arent they the one from the im in love with you MV???
Best band I just discovered....wish I would have known sooner Purely impeccable....best band years...thinking of traveling to Germany just to see them...yes that good !!!
I was closing my eyes feeling the handsome melody while dancing a little bit. This song is nostalgic, sexy, sophisticated, perfection I may say especially with the saxophone- I love it! ❤️
both guitarists playing some funk and funk enough to remind me of Niles Rodgers and Bernard Edward's back in my era..favorite song on new album..very satisfying indeed
.the 1975’s music never disappoints 🙌, love that old school groove what an awesome symphony keep it up guys ! imagine being in that room in person, u feel the music, their ecstatic energy i felt that when they said “uooooohwooooo”
I was born in 1989 and when I'm growing up I love 90's - 20's music, but when I discover this band god damn I appreciate the 80's vibes in their soul, I really admire y'all

This is the mature peak of The 1975.. it's not for everyone and this is the most beautiful thing..
"it's not for everyone " Now it will turn out that this music has right of admission?
lmfao they're making the most accessible music with songs like this, tf r u talking about
it was just my personal thought.. accessibile ok, but they're the same that played Robbers for teenagers in the Tumblr era. It's a huge difference for me..
well said man

I would rather a singer hit a few bum notes than mime.

@@ErinRoseBaby Amazing compared to who? I don't think he's very good when it comes to pure vocal talent. But I still love their music regardless.
How could this not be your favorite band in the world...
First timer here. What 1975 album would you recommend me to listen to as an introduction to them?
@@3rd_iimpact start with the eponymous one and learn them in order….and enjoy the amazing ride. I’m jealous you are hearing it all for the first time!

0:50 He's really feeling that beat. Letting the music flow smoothly through his body, and dancing accordingly. This is how you perform music live.
Rick astley’s vibes !!!
everytime the saxophone kicks in I cry my eyes out while I dance. this song is truly something else

The 1975 love the use of Ostinatos/ pedal notes. It’s also used in the song ‘sound’. I’m sure you can find it in others too 😊
