Man that was tough, most of that stuff I would not even use. It did seem like they added a bunch of stuff from the hunting box. Like you said you could get most of that stuff cheaper on line, that would be a huge let down to get that stuff in a box. I was hoping for more of a FISHING gear box. Thanks for the video it’s greatly appreciated.

That’s a hard no! That stuff has barely anything to do with fishing. I was hoping it would at least have reels or fish finders in it. What a let down! It’s like they have overstocked items they wanna get rid of for hunting and thru it in a box. No thanks! Do better Fish Vault!

Saved me time and money.. the advertising pictures of there boxes are a lot different than what you got. That’s a shame man because I was gonna get a subscription but not after watching this
That second box was totally a hunt box. Maybe the gps if your hiking trout streams in the mountains?

It's a gotcha bit. Not worth it. Fishing is one of those things where most are very particular about their gear, kind of like shoes. If you need to do a random roulette of gear cause you not sure what you want than you my want to rethink all of other things in life. This just isn't going to give you that satisfaction of what fishing should do for you. Companies like this ruin the experience of fishing.

Garbage for that money
Wow. I'd be absolutely furious if those were the boxes I'd received. The first box was basically a Berkeley promo box and the second box, while the GPS is cool, is definitely not a fishing box. What a huge disappointment.
What nonsense! These bixes are a scam. Only one worth anything is the bento box by the hookup tackle. All jdm tackle and hard to get colors. They sell out fast because of limited subscriptions.

Almost signed up for this box, decided to watch some reviews first. Glad I did. If I spent $160 on that I would be pissed. I was going to get the elite 365 box and then read the fine print…you can’t cancel that box for a year once you sign up. Ridiculous

That stuff sucks just shows people open any type of company and try and take people money for their benefits companies that say veteran owned always sounds fishy scammers
The box could be cool but poorly executed. Would be great to have this, maybe at a lower price point, for ice fishing and use it as a way to market new gear from lesser known brands. Not too valuable when it’s gear that anyone can pickup at their local sporting goods store….and not fishing related.

Second was definitely a hunting box i dont thibk any of them have much to do with fishing
well so happy i signed up for the elite 365 the other day saw the garmin and the yeti in the next box..... shoulda done research
$160 x 12 = $1920 per year!! Save your money and buy what you really want/need!

The Garmin I could maybe see using for trout streams / trout lakes in elevation where you are hiking in to get to your spots.... but that is a really limited consumer audience.

It's worth it if you look at the featured product for the following month, before they have added the Garmin striker fish finder and other products that are great. So whenever I order it I check what the big item is going to be and see if it's worth it that way
That's a good tip, I know they take money and cut off around the 20th of the month for the next month's box. When do they typically tell you the big thing that will be in it? Might be the way to do it 👍
@@AlexTimm so I don't know how early they preview what it will be but they already have March's item on there and it will be the jetboil minimo, id assume they preview it within the first week of the month

This is the reason I stopped buying mystery boxes. The dry box is the only thing I would have been interested. By your expression I would say you weren't happy and I'm sorry those boxes sucked. If the Garmin does geocaching then maybe it would be worth it but that was 100% an outdoor type box.

I got the mystery tackle box for fishing gear for christmas.. after the 2nd box i told the girlfriend to cancel it.. big waste of money in my opinion!

I ditched the net in favor of a lip gripper. I had a big Striped Bass get the lure caught in the net. It was not good.

I decided to try it around the same time you did. I got the November and December boxes. My November box was a little different than what you received. I had Power Bites instead of the oatmeal cup, no Gerber tool, and Gauze instead of the pressure bandage. Also, I think there was a Berkley knife sharpener in the box. The December box surprisingly arrive before the end of December. The box was a plain brown box. It had a small cooler, a fishing kit for a species of fish that's not present in my state, a spinning reel in a clam shell, a tin of something forgettable. The only thing I kept was the cooler. The rest was given or thrown away.

The problem I see is that you will get stuff that you already have or don't need/want but it could be good if you get something that you are missing out on but they should have cheaper options imo
