The best I have had yet was 3,5 l/100km (67 mpg). I never seem to have the discipline to dedicate to ultra fuel saving for a whole tank, though. With a bit of dedication, sticking to the right lane and a relaxed mindset 70 mpg should not be a problem. In my case she rarely ever needs more than 4 l/100km (ca. 60 mpg) when I ride normally.
Long story short: Yes.. kind of. The installation is quick and opposed to the ones from Puig, and some others, it attaches via the bolts of the instrument panel and not to the fork-clamp-bolts (main reason why I chose this one). Still, after having it on the bike for over a month now I have got mixed feelings about the job it is doing. On the one hand it really evens out the wind that hits you but at the same time it feels noisier und even a bit more uncomfortable at times. It might just be personal preference but I expected more from it and therefore I am a bit disappointed. But it gives you a bit more top speed and when you tuck down behind it you really get a little no-wind-zone. (You might get a different result depending on your height. I am 1,84m tall, a few cm less would definitely add to the comfort.) Still, I think it is worth a try. Buy it at a store with a decent return-policy and just send it back if you do not like it. I am keeping it because it lessens high pitched wind noise in my videos and might be useful in the future for longer trips. I will have put on one of those ugly add-on deflectors by then. xD Btw let me know about your own experience with it if you get one. :)
It definitely will. Depending on the wind it does not really improve the ride due to some odd turbulences at times. I still keep it on though, as a rain deflector and some noise reduction when recording videos.
Hey, I am considering this or the touring one from puig. Does this help with wind if I were to tuck down. I make 3 hour drives and honestly even a little bit would help. Also im only 5'5
It definitely helps a lot when I tuck down behind it. The only wind left then consists of some buffeting from the sides. While sitting upright I (a fraction over 6ft) get hit by the wind the most at the bottom of my visor and up. In your case a mild tuck might already do the job. I hope I could help. :)
Hello. I'm Brazilian and I don't speak your language. My question is: does this bubble help because of the small wind? Is it a good buy? Thank you. Note: I used a translator
It does help a little bit but not as much as one would like. For me, it keeps some wind off of my chest but redirects it into my face. In the end it is not that helpful.
It really looks nice, actually it's the nicest windscreen we can find around but I believe it's just an addiction to the beauty of the bike. The windscreen it's too small to stop wind pushing against the chest.
It does stop the wind hitting the lower chest but sadly this just appears to amplify the intensity that hits the shoulders and the head. That being said, I did notice an increase in acceleration from 120kph upwards and an easier reached top speed when "hiding" behind the screen. It is impressive that such a little wind-screen improves the aerodynamics positively in that way... but at the end of the day I do not ride in "attack-mode" most of the time. Currently I do not have it fitted to the bike either. :)
I'm thinking of installing one on my bike as well but I can't justify spending £100 for a piece of little plastic. No wonder these companies are becoming mega big by the day, overpriced as hell of you ask me. So screw the windscreen that can't really protect you, I rode 120 miles yesterday mostly fast roads and motorways doing 75-80 mph, I love the wind they are good workout for your arms and neck lol
@@ridehead8771 I agree, accessories are for spoiled people and manufacturers take advantage out of it. You need a windscreen if you do an interstate or overseas touring trip when a 6-8 hour ride every day can shake your body but for everyday riding just enjoy the wind and the fitness :) As some other people said the Honda CB300R isn't very stable at high speeds and especially if there is wind can be a bit problematic to keep a straight line, but I'll adapt to it and that is the spirit of going on a motorcycle!
@@billadmond9450 hi mate yeah the workout is definitely working for me lol. Seriously though if anything I think putting one spoils the bike kinda look stupid sorry no offense intended, it's naked it's supposed to be one. If you tour hundreds of miles then maybe there's little advantage having one, if it was half cheaper I'd consider probably, BTW I just checked one for my 2019 500F and its £124 pounds lol, that's equivalent to a nice alpinestars boots, sorry I moan a lot I'm serious when it comes to money or maybe I'm just poor hahaha have a good one mate

Cool video. My sister bought a Honda CB500F not long ago and ive also riden a testmodel of that (my bikes are Kawasaki Vulcan 750 '89 and a Z900 from 2018). While testriding it i also felt the wind on my chest without any windshield. Now my sister has been on the highway and went over 120, says the wind is a factor is she'd ride a long time like that. Now reading through the comments i noticed you are 1m84? I am 1m72 and she is 1m63. Thus the screen would have it's purpose no doubt for her. The wind would most likely hit the top of her helmet, as my windscreen does on my z900 (performance kit). She has yet to watch this video, depending what she says about the screen, i'll order one and install it :p.
hey Sclaus89, i wanted to order one of this too, but im unsure of what it covers or not, can u tell me the experience your sister had with it? In case u finally ordered for her
I am glad that so many of you enjoy the video.
Have a great day! :)
Will it fit cb3000f?
I do not know that, sorry.
3000f???? you’re a madman 😂

Please let me know about the windshield extension you put on as mentioned. What is it and does it help?
