You said you got the screws off by hand, but I recently bought a windscreen and cannot make them budge for the life of me! Did you just use a regular hex key?
@@krmoto5158 I actually went to try the install the day after I wrote that comment and the screws came right off! Don't know what changed overnight, but I now have a Puig windscreen on my bike! Thanks for your reply!

I use an Allen wrench May have to squirt some liquid wrench down in there
If you're having problems getting leverage onto the Allen key you can use the end of a spanner wrench To gain leverage

Some givi windshields come with a rubber trim piece that goes around the windshield. Do you know what the purpose of this is?

As far as I know the trim piece around windshields are mandatory in some (all?) countries in Europe. Declared as ''safety'' reason.
