That's NOT the drivers fault! you know how load it is driving one of the trucks! that's 100% homeless guys fault! sorry what happened to you and all. but DON'T sleep in cans!
Well, nobody has said it was the drivers fault. They still have to complete an investigation (standard), but its very doubtful you could show driver negligence here. Old man even ended up with a home out of it. This could have ended a lot worse.
Don't they have cams in the hopper? and if they did shoulden't the driver be looking at the cams when unloading so they know is the trash can is fully empty?

@@aidenlui2056No, dont trespass into private property to sleep in literal trash. Getting crushed from sleeping in a trash compactor hopper is like whining about losing your dick from trying to fuck a garbage disposal, you entered somewhere you shouldn't for a aelfish reason.
Sorry to hear that this happened, but these are trash bins. The drivers can't get out and look in every one of them. Plus they make a ton of noise and by the time you hear it, the truck is already picking up the dumpster. So homeless or not, don't sleep in them. Get yourself a tent and camp in the woods.
Still don't understand how he survived 4 hours after being DUMPED into the garbage truck. Doesn't everything get immediately CRUSHED in the first minute after being dumped? How did the driver hear or see him when he was stuck in the truck?

I just saw this video. Yeah right. Let's spend hundreds of man hours in one city alone, every day, to check to see if somebody was stupid enough to sleep in the type of dumpster that gets picked up by a truck instead of by hand (which is almost all of them) ? Sure why don't we also check every manhole to see if there is somebody under it before we drive over each and every one? Or. . Hmmm. Let's inspect every 10 feet of railroad track EVERY DAY to make sure nobody is sleeping there too. Genius.
Man when its 4AM and raining you'll be desperate. Even on hot days the nights can get very cold. If you're on the street you take whatever you can get. This guy is very blessed.

So you mean if I get myself crushed in a garbage truck and survive, I can get myself a free house?
yes
😂
Only if you're black.
IF you're homeless just get a city worker to hurt you so you can sue and get money
That's not funny
I'm sorry that happened but why would you think a dumpster is a safe place..... and how is the trash man at fault
Exactly!!
This is really sad. I need to be grateful for what I have.
You aren't already???🙄

Perhaps WM and other waste companies should create a procedure for checking bins in urban areas. Thank goodness the man wasn't killed.
