I remember volunteering for Skyblivion all the way back in 2016 for a short time, its crazy how long the project has lasted and how everyone is still going strong. Honestly, cant wait to play it and see if anything I did still exists or was utilized, insignificant in the greater scheme of things, but it would be the extra fun to recall it while playing the game. Hope it lives to everyones expectations and more!
I was thinking about Take Two today. dudes arent even giving a fkn screenshot for the most anticipated game since they dropped a trailer ,what ,almost a year ago?! thats just ... lame?
Bethesda got caught up with ESO and 76 cash cows. It's that Bioware thing with Anthem when they want to "branch off" and create something "new" when they can barely manage their own franchises. I don't even know what Starfield was. It wasn't anything groundbreaking, and in fact, worse than Skyrim and Fallout 4's legacy.
@@mmfe116 ESO absolutely, 76 not so much. ESO was developed by Zenimax online Studios and 76 was developed by BGS Austin who are not 'the' Bethesda. However Todd Howard absolutely retained creative control of the project and indeed it was his decision for it to launch with no NPCs along with various other terrible choices that led it to be maligned on top of any technical bugs that BGSA worked in on top of them. Todd Howard being involved at all, let alone retaining creative control makes it a proper Bethesda game IMO.
Modders that develop mods as a hobby/side project put AAA developers to shame. People defending game devs are wild. The absolute trash that is released, with massive budgets, in recent years is hilarious.
Yes and no. The vanilla skyrim is a masterpiece, and mods wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the core of the game. Modern gaming revolves around graphics and vast empty maps with filler npcs (immersion) these mid era games were all about style and character and focused on fun gameplay. So we see mods for them and instantly fall in love, because it brings back memories of one of the best eras in gaming
Modders don't have a schedule like devs so they can take their sweet time. They work on passion not on money, meaning they can bring such a great addition to the base game or can even outshine original games
To be fair to developers, they are at the mercy of their CEOs, and not having budgets and deadlines gives you an awful lot of breathing room in which to be creative and take your sweet time.
People complained about DLC in GOTY nominations. Just imagine the drama when mods are good enough to be GOTY contenders. I really hope Skywind survives because that's the remake I want the most.
"Just imagine the drama when mods are good enough" there were some amazing mods though... like Enderal for Skyrim. Never liked Skyrim, but this mod convinced me to buy the game for it.
Yeah, I couldn't get into Morrowind, the melee combat sucked and it ran and looked like ass on the OG Xbox. I didn't have a good pc at tje time. I've tried modding it but always ran into issues. I never finished it so Skywind is going to be a relatively fresh experience for me, can't freaking wait!
Many modders ARE game devs, or have been in the past. If anything, the ones acting like amateurs in recent years are the higher ups (publishers, directors, producers...) You don't need any of these people when working on a mod.
the thing is that these guys are passionate and not in it for a profit so they can be niche or do what they want. alot of games recently have to appeal to alot of people and justify alot of big studios so there is alot of bloat. sometimes you could even have the same people make a shit game at a studio but in their spare time make a decent game, because alot of outside pressures don't exist.
Because they are amateurs. You think something like Veilguard was made by competent writers? Some of the dialogues sounded like something out of Tumblr or Wattpad.
@@hunterberg6409 Well, in most cases people aren't really passionate about their 9-5 jobs. It pays the rent. Modding are passion projects they do because they want to... BUT it can also horribly burn people out just like a paying job.
The creation is optimised for what it does. But what it does is track thousands of static objects all at once and implement their physics, oh and remember exactly where they are. That is something no other engine can do. Switch to another engine and all that charm with clutter is gone. You won’t be able to drop a dagger as soon as you leave the dungeon and come back 300+ hours later and still find it sitting there where you left it.
@@KingofFreaks People tired of the 200 Skyrim remasters, when Oblivion/Morrowind have been left to rot. It's just one big mod. Harnessing the Skyrim engine to replicate the world of Oblivion.
@@KingofFreaks well if this goes well a lot of the guys can use this to find jobs. With the case of the chief developer if this goes well. They can use the downloads as a way to gather funding from investors or crowd funding to open a studio.
To the one singular chatter who rightfully asked what Nav Mesh is: As the name implies, Nav = Navigation. It's a method for dealing with pathfinding/walkability of space in the scene. We obviously don't want NPCs walking up 90 degree cliffs because there's no proper pathfinding calculated.
Navmeshing is the easiest part of moding to me. Why does it seem like it's hard for everyone else? It's literally just putting triangles on the ground.
The video doesn't point out the return of the Character Attribute system that was originally on Morrowind and Oblivion but was absent on Skyrim. The removal of the attributes in Skyrim was a contention of debate and frustration from longtime Elder Scrolls players because the attributes are a core feature of RPGs. Without it, the game becomes less of an RPG. Their implementation of this shows the love and dedication that the development team has. It was also a core feature of the original that effected some actions on the game. Some quests in the game had attribute checks that prevented you from doing them if and attribute did not meet a requirement. So it was important for this to be included in the mod. They also made some changes to the leveling of that system which is a major improvement over the vanilla game. In the original, you had to practice skills related to those attributes in order the raise them effectively and not have used those skills when you raise a level, would negatively affect your characters growth. For example, you had to get hit a lot wearing heavy armor to level up your endurance attribute (which also effects how many hit points you receive on a level up). This was a problem that caused a type of player character leveling development that is referred to as Efficient Leveling. I don't care to explain all the details about it, but I will say this, it was tedious and annoying. This is fixed in Skyblivion. Now when you level, you get the option of adding points into whatever attributes you want. You are not stuck with just grinding skills to get the most points into specific attribute just to level it up efficiently. This is great news and allows you to play the game more naturally on how you want to play it rather than grinding skills just to meet a goal.
Agreed. That stuff would be important to know, and you'd expect at least some outline of that if the game is so close to completion. Hopefully we get more info on that stuff in the coming months. Would also like to know if you can travel to Skyrim in-game from this mod, I think they said in the past that you can, but it's worth repeating.
@@KnownAsKenji You won't be able to travel to Skyrim in Skyblivion since the mod is set during 3E 433, 200 years before Skyrim. You might be getting Skyblivon confused with Beyond Skyrim: Cyrodill, which is a different interpretation of Cyrodill during Skyrim's time period that lets you travel between the two provinces.
This is one of the reasons I still got Starfield, cos I know one madlad will turn it into a passion project to release a huge mod that would release before Star citizen or that single player thing tied to it.
Same it's honestly quite sad, treyarch Activision and dice have fallen. Thank God rockstar, and Bethesda hasn't completely fallen they just take a while.
Same, SNES hacks are my jam because there aren't many RPGs like that these days. Chrono Trigger, FFVI, and Earthbound have some great overhaul mods that give a feel of playing those old games for the first time again.
What again? What you know its bad? Where do you pull out this nonsense? This is a seperate fanmade mod. Bethesda is absoluteky fine, and never wasn't anything less.
You gotta understand that they are not allowed to take money for this. However. This project will be pure gold for their resume when they wanna work in the industry for future job opportunities and security. Been highly anticipating this game since ages. So I look finally forward for it to happen.
I remember playing Oblivion with my dad when I was a kid, pretty much grew up on Oblivion and Fallout 3. Now being this many years later and after thousands of hours of modded fallout and elder scrolls, this is going to be a legendary thing to experience. So many memories :)
Honestly I'd prefer it that way. Until the gaming world improves again I don't want ES6 coming out. I'd rather wait for quality than have them utterly destroy it.
@@Ylerianhey don’t have permission which is why it’s taking so long. Like you didn’t watch the video lol. They said they have to make every single item by scratch otherwise they would have reused the plants from the original game. They can’t have a cease and desist because they’re not making money.
Oblivion quests were always made to cause emotions, they were more artistic in some aspects to fit in the quests, Skyrim is too much grounded, there is no quest that took a artistic way instead of a lore consistent
The hardest part is finding time. I could rock out 3d plants in blender but I'm too busy working to have dedicated time. Seems like a cool project though.
I just got Skyrim running on Steam with 252 mods and no crashes / game-breaking-bugs. I'm treating it like a house of cards, and don't want to mess with that load order. That being said, I might have to buy a 2nd copy of Skyrim on GOG or another platform for a dedicated Skyblivion build of the game.
Everytime I see mods like this, I just feel for the guys that built this shit for free. They should be making 100K+ a year minimum to work on this shit. This is insane, better than AAA games.
I have to disagree, as a physical worker doing critical infrastructure for 98% of people its laughable that someone doing something pretty unnecessary for 0.01% should make more than double the income😂 but hey thats how the world works anyway so no Im not THAT bitter...or shouldnt I?
The guys who make these mods often hired into big companies anyhow, besides unlike being stuck making AAA slop, these devs can use their passion to make what they want
I may eat these words one day, but I think people are not giving Bethesda enough credit when it comes to Skyblivion. For one, they have expressed their encouragement of the project. For another, Kyle (Rebelzize) reached out to them to make sure everything was on the up-and-up, and their legal team explained very clearly what they could and could not do. That's why they're always very clear about what their legal limitations are, and that they're staying within those boundaries. And if I'm honest, I would be very surprised if there weren't some Bethesda employees covertly working on the project or, at the very least, cheering it on and anticipating its release alongside all the rest of us. If I'm not mistaken, I think the guy who did all of Oblivion's caves is particularly excited about it and impressed with the Skyblivion team's work.
I really hope that's the case. I would be so happy to hear that some Bethesda employees are cheering them on (maybe even giving them the original concept and development tips) and the legal team helping them out. On my pessimistic side, I'm just afraid Bethesda would wait until this is released to sue them, like when "Scrolls" came out.
I think its beyond cool. Oblivion was my first ever xbox game as kid. I played a bit of Morrowind on my brothers’ xbox. Before they got halo 2. They had a big sony flat screen. Was nearly half of their room. We always played in their and aft school, when they were still working. My sister and I played oblivion then skyrim in high school. I just miss those sound tracks. I miss playing when my oldest brother would play on his dell xps on world of Warcraft or Warcraft 3. Jesus. Just miss so much. 2007 was best year.
I mean, doesn't Skywind need the original Oblivion voice lines and audio tracks to function? So people who only own Skyrim will have to buy Oblivion to play this? Bethesda should love everything about this, it's pushing their 19 year old game to a massive audience that would never have bought it otherwise, and it's entirely free on their part
Comfort games are a thing, just like comfort movies and books. Engaging in an activity that is both a great experience and familiar makes people happy. I know I have my comfort games and books.
10:35 I think there were a few things in oblivion that could soft lock you from completing things. I couldn’t complete the fighters guild quest because the body you were supposed to find either never spawned or despawned after time. On console I think 8/10 times that glitch would happen.
As I see it, there is no way tes 6 wont be a trash aaa game, I mean starfield was supposed to be a game as good as the tes saga and it came out miserably so if they put the same amount of effort they've put into starfield but to make tes 6 then its just going to be as trash

Every year after Covid I see completely differently. Appreciate the boringness as it’s comforting once you realize how bad it can be. 2024 was amazing and hopefully 2025 will be even better
This is really cool. I love the charm and nostalgia I get out of the original oblivion, but this will definitely still get a full playthrough from me on release!
I have a cabin in the woods and I've been playing on and off when I go Oblivion on my old PS3. It's just been a nice immersive experience when I have some quiet downtime in the quiet peace.
I'd bet money that this is why Bethesda is now suddenly remastering Oblivion. Either they saw the hype around Skyblivion and saw it as money left on the table, or they don't want to get shown up by a minuscule dev team by comparison. Either scenario is on par for how pathetic and complacent Bethesda has become.
Not new to companies to do this. Lets take a look at Rome 2 Total War and the incredible mod Divide et Impera. The mod team would create highly detailed factions to the game only for CA/SEGA (Owner/Publisher) to release their own version of the faction, locking it down for everyone who doesn't buy the new low effort dlc. They just happened to release the exact same factions as paid dlc. Totally not on purpose
@@Jinny-Wa Yeah, Keen Software (Space Engineers) does similar stuff. Their modding community pumps out amazing mods for the game, stuff people wont play without. Then it magically shows up in one of this years two low effort "DLCs" for 10$. The difference between building with passion, and building your bottom line.

There's strong rumours about Bethesda doing their own Oblivion remake that would complete with this, but honestly, it's not outside the realm of possibility that they just contact these guys and offer to make their work official in exchange for monetisation. Something similar happened with the Homeworld franchise insofar as Deserts of Kharak was originally a game called Shipbreakers 'in the style of' Homeworld, but it fit so well, the IP holders offered to bring them into the fold and make it an official prequel with rebranding.
I’ve thought about this, but if I was the skyblivion team I would rather work independently at this point. Bethesda seems to have major management issues and I worry they would be too controlling if they hired the skyblivion team
when i first played oblivion i was finally old enough to start understanding games and how to play them, but i never could appreciate the scope/size of oblivion because it seemed so empty and had so little to do because i didnt understand how to explore and discover quests (i mostly just did the DB, thieves guild, main quest and shivering isles.) and spent most of my time crawling through the alyied ruins (one of my favorite theme/styled dungeons). i really cant wait to go back and fully explore oblivion (and morrowind for that matter) in the skyrim engine.
I loved this game, played it a bunch, first on my dad's PC and then I bought my brothers friends copy and played on the ps3. Completed it multiple times as well as the DLC's. My sister used to play just to gather up horses into a stable and when I told her about the unicorn, she would always grab that as well to add to her stable of horses.
I genuinely see no way that tes 6 is going to be better than modded skyrim (or vanilla for anything aside from looks) Bethesda has always said that starfield was a project that required a lot of work and thats the reason why they couldnt develop tes 6 all these years, and holy shit if starfield required lot of work just to be trash then there is no way tes 6 will be even decent. Not that I complain tho I'll just play vanilla skyrim up until I die
How people come to this conclusion is insane. Starfield needed MULTIPLE new technologies ro be made, and was insane for the first real full rpg in space. Tes6 has nothing of that problem, and is overall a new game of them, that know exactly what to do and with a big team and budget. It will bw great, simple as that. And starfield again, has nothing to do with that or to affect that. Starfield was simply made still too soon, with more technology needing to come out. But go on, don't play it or think instantly it will be bad. You will play it anyway edit: these are games, made by REAL people and an insane amount at that. To think a new project, a very different project and bethesdas main title where they know everything won't be sheer amazing is crazy. What are you scared of exactly? Long loading screens? Not there. Bugs? Will be fixed either way, and even starfield was alright at that. Content? Graphics? Quality? All there obviously. Stop whining.

People in the comments need to relax and stop saying saying bethesda will issue a C&D. The game isn't technically free as you need skyrim and oblivion to play. Bethesda approved and endorsed the project before and they already went over the legalities with them. That would completely sever their relationship with the modding community. Remember starfield??? they sure do need talented modders to overhaul that boring ass game. LOL
What you say would be true if bethesda didn't : - broke numerous mod from skyrim and fallout 4 because of recent anniversary or HD update no one asked for (and whose content was shit) and didn't communicate about it so mods creator could prepare correctly. - The creation of the besthesda creation club which cleaved the modding community in two when it came out because of the paid mod stupidity. And we're speaking of a company that pay people to go around spreading propaganda (go read bad starfield review with comment, 100% you will see the message i'm talking about) and insult his consumers. The best thing about this for me is that I only played around 5 hours of Oblivion when I was younger, so this is gonna be a whole new experience, but on an updated engine.
Creation kit, ever since Morrowind, has been fun and easy to use. Oblivion brought in the Radiant AI, which allows you to give a lot of depth to NPCs, such as how they interact with the player, other NPCs, roles they have, schedule, etc. It's easy to go down a rabbit hole with Radiant or you can simply tweak a Radiant profile another NPC already has for efficiency. It's far easier than modding with CryEngine or UE4 with the dev's tools (ala Kingdom Come Deliverance) which are very open-ended and powerful tools, but Creation Kit is designed around building Bethesda games, so it's not as overwhelming. In addition, there are 3rd-party APIs, custom Creation Kit tools and asset packs that provide more features for mod makers, this is why a number of Skyrim, Oblivion, etc. mods require dependencies to use. If you like the idea of making your own game project, but unable to devote time to a full standalone game (years or dedication) and not bothered by the limitations of the Creation Kit developed for a specific Bethesda game, then it's a no-brainer to create your own content. It's a game in itself. Skyblivion, re-engineering an entire previous title, is an ambitious project. But, let's say, you want to create a new area of the Skyrim map with some custom quests, then it's very doable for the individual.
I loved oblivion, the entire world, the westher effects, it all blew me away, i also got bitten somewere down the line and turned into a vampire, it blew my mind that this could happen, i did finish it.
In the vast tapestry of Tamriel, my friend wove an unintended snare of fate. A tome of vital purpose, needed for the main quest of his journey, was cast into the abyss of a humble barrel, its significance forgotten amidst the chaos of adventure. Now, the quest lies dormant, its threads severed, the book lost to time and memory. Thus, the Champion of Cyrodiil finds himself bound by his own hand-a reminder that even the smallest choices can ripple through the annals of destiny!
The rose-tinted glasses people have for Oblivion blows my mind. Oblivion was kinda blasted as a really bland version of Morrowind back when it was released. And it is . . . REALLY bland.

I remember this game. Fun but glitchy. Long loading times. I saved often, but then a glitch happened that trapped my character in a loop. I stopped playing after that. When I went back to play, the console became slow, and the loading screen took forever. Later, I tried to play the game on a different console but it was technically running an emulator and had 2 loading screens when the game was loading. Someday, when I have spare money, I will build a nice gaming computer, and this game/ mod will be on the list.

Enjoying the lil breadcrumbs they leave for me to still be excited. Whenever it does come out, I am absolutely going to buy it. But, I’m not optimistic about it being released this year.
more impressive then the work they have done, is the communication! imagine every studio would be so open about what is going on, that they need time and help. Its next level !
Gotta remember that some of the current devs that have made some amazing games started out as just modders modding games for fun and then got recruited by the companies that made the games they did mods for. Like way back when.

Honestly, cant wait to play it and see if anything I did still exists or was utilized, insignificant in the greater scheme of things, but it would be the extra fun to recall it while playing the game. Hope it lives to everyones expectations and more!
What happened to skywind (morrowind version)
What sort of things did you make in the mod? Must be exciting to see it come this far!
Yeah, I can't wait to cringe at my old voice performances, now that it's been so long lol.
Meanwhile at Bethesda: "Nah... We good, they can watch that 2018 TES:VI teaser for a few more years before we give an update."

Passion is a hell of a thing
@ yeah. They don’t do it for their job and they can usually fix issues in games significantly faster than the people that made them. 😂
Skywind is my dream game
Same, brother. Morrowind is my favorite out of the 3, but oblivion is number 2. It looks so good.
Skyblivion genuinely looks better than anything Bethesda's made recently. Like I personally wouldn't be outraged if it made it in.

You know what's more insant is that a lot of game developers are like amatuers while moders are more like the pros particularly in recent years.
Modders are just passionate game devs, not shocked the ones that truly love what they do turn out great products
This right here is the reason video game history needs to be preserved.
@@KnownAsKenji
You won't be able to travel to Skyrim in Skyblivion since the mod is set during 3E 433, 200 years before Skyrim. You might be getting Skyblivon confused with Beyond Skyrim: Cyrodill, which is a different interpretation of Cyrodill during Skyrim's time period that lets you travel between the two provinces.
As game quality decreases mod quality increases. I use mods to replay older games, due to there being a lack of quality games today.
This is one of the reasons I still got Starfield, cos I know one madlad will turn it into a passion project to release a huge mod that would release before Star citizen or that single player thing tied to it.

Paying a premium for a game that could've honestly been generated by AI boggles my mind on how it's legal.

Oblivions quests were more thought out than skyrims
Oblivion quests were always made to cause emotions, they were more artistic in some aspects to fit in the quests, Skyrim is too much grounded, there is no quest that took a artistic way instead of a lore consistent

100%. This isn't possible if Bethesda wasn't so cool about it and gives them the tools and the freedom to do so
No they really don’t deserve anything
I really hope that's the case. I would be so happy to hear that some Bethesda employees are cheering them on (maybe even giving them the original concept and development tips) and the legal team helping them out.
On my pessimistic side, I'm just afraid Bethesda would wait until this is released to sue them, like when "Scrolls" came out.
I think its beyond cool. Oblivion was my first ever xbox game as kid. I played a bit of Morrowind on my brothers’ xbox. Before they got halo 2. They had a big sony flat screen.

There are so many cool games coming in 2025. I'm so excited for this year, it's going to be a great one.
Yup, Nintendo is gonna CRUSH Sony and Xbox once and for all, and the neckbeards and they anime waifus that play those systems, will be crying for all eternity😎
"I MUST CONSUUUUME! BING BING WAHOO!" the post
This is not a mod, it's an obsession. I love it. More please.
Oblivion is still my fav elder scrolls game and this project is godsend. I still remember my 12 y.o self playing the game for the first time ( and actually learning what pc specs are cuz my pc was shit i had to upgrade lol ). Thank god they are remastering it and thank god actual passionate people are doing it not bethesda.
0:56 I have that moment every single time I go replay Black Ops 1 campaign, at the time it seemed so real
todd probably thinks it's time to release a broken update patch for skyrim
The best part about Skyrim mods, other than the body figures :3, are the combat mods that bring the game to the elden ring and above standard.
Todd Howard WE HATE YOU NOW. Skyblivion is the new Bethesda game studios. Rebelzize is the new Todd Howard
Rebelzize as the next t Todd Howard is a surprisingly based take
speak for yourself. without Todd this wouldn't probably be allowed
Really was the best Elder Scrolls title. Just needs to be prettied up. Excited to see it.
Morrowind was way better imho, due to its incredible worldbuilding. Oblivion was a great game but just way too generic.
The rose-tinted glasses people have for Oblivion blows my mind. Oblivion was kinda blasted as a really bland version of Morrowind back when it was released. And it is . . . REALLY bland.
@@mikesmith542 Todd wanted to follow LOTR's trend, that's why Oblivion was 100% generic fantasy, sadly.
I dont think Bethesda could compete with this level of skill. it would be mean Bethesda dropping its DEI and actually trying.
Reminder enderal is also a skyrim mod. It has its own steam page, as if it is its own game.
I really hope most of the team stick together after they're done and get to work on making their own Studio and RPG.
this mod team is bethesda's successors.
It makes Bethesda look bad because passion will always beat the desire to make a corporate product
This better get a 2025 GOTY nomination.
Im happy there are others who loved Oblivion more than recent titles. The fact they put this work in is mind-blowing.
Finally upgraded my PC from a 1660S + R5 3600 to a beefier 7800XT + 5700x3d just for MH Wilds and Kingdom Come 2. Guess I'll be adding Skyblivion to me list of games to play in 2025, never played anything Elder Scrolls related before and this is looking great.
I have the exact setup you had lol how much was the upgrade???
An how does the swap from nvidia to amd gpu feel?
AMD? Why not have "I'm poor" tattoo'd on your forehead instead?
It’s an exciting year for 20 year old films
Its sad that we have had zero triple a games that’s released sense pre2019 even this isnt good lets be honest it looks cool but we’ve played this game for years we need new stuff ffs 🤦🏽♂️
@@Catolicodeguerra This game isnt for you then.
@@CatolicodeguerraI mean using that logic sh2 re2 and all the remakes weren’t needed 😅
@@Catolicodeguerra Except it's not the same game when they're also adding new content ontop of having to basically make the game from scratch. There will a clear difference between Oblivion and Skyblivion and this isn't made by a AAA game studio, its being made by modders. Be more grateful bro.
@@Catolicodeguerra dude this is a mod made by the community that is adding 3 games worth of content into Skyrim for free. They have literally hand made over 2k+ custom assets from grass to the rocks. This is more than enough for people who are doing this as a passion project.
This is like the Avengers, but with zero clout and no budget. Saving the world on the down-low!
If there is any credibility to Oblivion getting a remaster I feel Bethesda/Microsoft is going to take this down.
Every asset is remade and you will still need Oblivion and Skyrim to play it, those are the requirements that Bethesda's legal team has given them. Furthermore, the mod was supposedly featured on their X page.. so it will be released. As to the rumored remaster/remake, maybe this will be it? Skyrim Special Edition was also just a mod initially..
I’ve been very excited for this. Since, whenever the toolkit for modding Skyrim was released. While then having a “projected” release year for 2025. I’ve been waiting for this for a long time. Enjoying the lil breadcrumbs they leave for me to still be excited. Whenever it does come out, I am absolutely going to buy it. But, I’m not optimistic about it being released this year.
When is the next Miside gameplay video?
stuff like this gives me a warm feeling about humanity in general. c: Happy 2025 everyone!
2:17 I died laughing
more impressive then the work they have done, is the communication! imagine every studio would be so open about what is going on, that they need time and help.
Its next level !
Gotta remember that some of the current devs that have made some amazing games started out as just modders modding games for fun and then got recruited by the companies that made the games they did mods for. Like way back when.
This is crazy because apparently according to leaks. Oblivion is getting a remake/remaster. I think it's supposedly in 2025 or 2026 or something.
maybe this is the rumored remake/remaster
This looks exactly like Oblivion. 20 years of effort for this?
You speaking out of my heart. I am sick of all these remakes and remasters. If I want to play Oblivion I play Olbivion. Why not set new quests/story in the world of Oblivion? Can´t modern devs, modders, movie/tv show directors come up with more creativity than remake popular game x?
@AndreasLahnsteinFun thing, there are two big seperate mods already working on seperate "new" stories in Cyrodiil! Check out the Beyond Skyrim team and the Rigmor of Tamriel mods.
This is Skyrim. If there's an idea, it's a mod.
wtf it looks way better than oblivion
@@arishok5091 Will do, there is also another total conversion mod in the works. Complete different lore.
This is the fuckin Ballers Gate of fuckin mods GOT DAMN!!! 😤🙌
This and Skywind (same as Skyblivion, but for Morrowind)are extremely expansive works of art from the modding teams. Only comparable projects (mods) that I know are either Enderal or the Skyrim Beyond teams
The extent of the Tod Howard problem is obvious here.
Yet Bethesda Game Studios can't do even like this. And they get paid a wage and overtime because making games is their actual job...
What a joke the western gaming industry is. To be shown up by volunteer modders.
Yeah. We already saw that with Enderal. That really made me realise how much more Sykrim could've been if the devs actually gave a shit like SureAi did.
im so stoked about skyblivion because i never finish oblivion, my saved got corrupted the first time and the second play through with mod somehow made every thing black half way
Another full conversion mod based off of Skyrim is called Enderal, completely original world, story characters and everything and it's fully playable right now.
been waiting for skyblivion for almost a decade, i'll believe it when it releases
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if part of or most of the Skyblivion team becomes a new indy studio, what they have done is absolutely insane and I love it.
