In 1991, Konami commissioned a motivational corporate "image song," titled 「正午の星座」 (roughly, "High Noon Constellation"), performed by Japanese singer Shinji Tanimura. The song has mostly gone unheard outside Konami, until a copy was shared with us by game producer Mark Flitman, who worked for Konami's US office in the early 90s.
Please enjoy this karaoke rendition of the Konami Image Song! The lyrics were taken from a rough English translation printed in an internal Konami memo. Both the song and the memo are part of the Mark Flitman collection in the Video Game History Foundation Library.

Special thanks to Rick for his karaoke mascot illustration.
Amazing production values on this, Bubsy as the ubiquitous Sunfly mascot is the cherry on top 👏👏
The Konami from the old testament was really something else
SEGA also notably created their own corporate anthem around the same time, “ Wakai Chikara”
a fact which has been openly acknowledged by them a few times, with the track most notably being used as the ending theme for the classic gaming history anime “Hi-sCoool! SEHA Girls”
Incredible bonus points for the karaoke style video. Gonna take this to my next session.
This should’ve been the first dance at our wedding. Dammit.
(wipes away single tear and begins slow clap) 👏
So beautiful. So inspirational. Emotions I have never felt before are deeply overflowing. I am now one with the stars🌠
Could you imagine if there's a vintage CD+G of this song, out in the world somewhere?
The CD we ripped has also an instrumental version that was intended for actual karaoke! It's not impossible that a real CD+G version exists.

Even better than the Infogrames song!
Random man eating a croissant XD
