I think Sand Shower would have used more Labyrinth zone tiles. The music sounds like desert ruins, and Sandopolis's second act looks like a dry Labyrinth zone.
It doesn't feel right for sand showers theme to be oil ocean because the tiles and backround look like a more wild west style desert so i think mystic cave 2p would be more fitting ( i know oil oceans theme is probably supposed to be for sand shower)
@@saturnbuddy while sonic 2 archives and 2 Restored have the same general idea, they are not the same, sonic 2 Restored is separate project made for the 2013 version of the game (origins decomp)

i actually think the aquatic ruin demo song was meant for this zone. it evokes much more the american desert vibe.
Aquatic Ruins demo theme sounds jungly to me, if you assume the part that sounds deserty is actually a Tarzan yell.

I suggest you add more to the lower part of the background, as it looks quite empty and the striped lines cause my eyes to hurt.

Sandopolis 1 is an evolved version of sand shower, it adopts the quicksand, the pillars and the interwalls

I might be able to make a tutorial, some tools you will need are, sonlvl-rsdk (game banana), sonic origins plus, and notepad for acripts

Why is Tails Brown?
art was discovered of an earlier tails sprite, which was deep brown, it turned out that it was a printing error
