Weekend DIY fireplace build - ELECTRIC fireplace time lapse

  • Pretty easy build, just used construction adhesive for the stones and a metal diamond blade to cut it
The product is by uberhaus called ledge stone wall slate, from Rona (Canadian store) but there are a lot of similar products usually called stone slate or veneer. I only really measured it to know it was square. I used the stone sections to find the size that would make 4 sections wide, 7 high and 1 deep. This reduced the cuts needed. I used 4 boxes, 2 flat and 2 corner.
Here are links to some of the things I use
    Tools
    Drill and Driver - amzn.to/2ZhDNny
    Circular saw - amzn.to/2ZdsJaV

    Nail gun - amzn.to/36ajOIN
    Chop saw - amzn.to/2zShZ7m
    Pocket hole jig - amzn.to/2WMxabf
    Diamond blade - amzn.to/2WHYS8V
    Consumables

I think you did an awesome job on the prep work.
I have my own tile installation company and not a lot of people have the foresight to lay out the ledger and base their fireplace off of that.

Thanks buddy! That’s what I was going for. Actually we put a 65 inch TV mounted to the wall and it Was good spacing wouldn’t want to go much bigger, Atjon but then again it depends on the height of the ceilings

How his floor handle the install? Did you attach the boards or glue the boards? This is because vinyl or laminated floor should not have anything nailed, screwed in or glue because of the expansion that need to occur, by doing so you can void warranty. Floor might buckle up close by the area. The job is amazing!!!! Just those details.
