How do I find a good Real Estate Lawyer in California, San Francisco Bay Area? that deals with deed or trust on contingency basis? I sure would appreciate your input.

Hi, you mentioned Habitat for Humanity, I have a house from them , I’ve been in it 30yrs, now, I’m looking to sell, but in the original contract they have “right of first refusal”, how will this impact me selling the house and getting market value. Thank you for your time.

It depends on the state, but in NC the closing attorney will examine the right of first refusal to see if it still applies, and if it does, Habitat for Humanity will have to release the right of first refusal. It's a common process but can take some time depending on the circumstances. I would recommend you have a local real estate attorney look at the right of first refusal before you list your property so you can get a handle on what needs to be done.
