    It is videos like this that make me thankful to be a very new Christian. My whole immediate family are new, so we can start on the right first step. I came from New Age paganism and witchy stuff most of my life..I was Mormon, Catholic, and lastly, Muslim...then I found biblical marriage and via Mike Winger, found Jesus. I am now finding so much beauty in true submission. I am feeling free, finally, in my marriage...which is 100% better than it has ever been. My kids behave better, my husband is happier, I am a better employee...the list goes on. Thank you for bringing light and truth to newbies like us, and those who are more spiritually mature. God BLESS YOU ALL.

    Listening to labeled is so Nostalgic and Saddening. It does make me so thankful I never tied my identity any individual bands. But I have listened and loved Aaron Sprinkle‘s music for over 20 years. I’ve met him and chatted with him and to see him deconstruct it’s so heartbreaking to me.

      Praying that he truly repents and receives Christ's forgiveness of his sin.🙏 Gotta admit tho. I don't get the whole Christain deconstruction thing. But I'm a Boomer, and grew up in a different era, where you either ARE born again or you're NOT.

      @@Abigail-gf7cg I won't disagree that we deserve judgement for our disobedience. ESPECIALLY that of letting millions of babies be slaughtered through the "Pro Choice" LIE!! In large part, why the Church, as a whole, has failed to disciple converts. But to solely blame it on Boomers. That one I disagree with. Why weren't my parents (great depression era, born between 27-31) able to teach me to disciple? It wasn't modeled to me! And where does the blame stop? I guess part of my problem with the whole deconstruction thing is. Deconstruct from what? When I was converted, I KNEW it was a done deal. I was made SPIRITUALLY alive 'in' Christ. Of course, I am also now reformed in my beliefs, so that helps explain why I believe, once ACTUALLY born again, always born again.🙌 I WILL admit, as a Boomer, I can't keep up with all the language changes. "Progressive" being one of the biggest gaslighting words EVER!😜

    A lot of these bands and I speak from experience, they become a band, get excited over the first gig and then they start getting more gigs but there was never a strong foundation of the gospel, there’s a passion for music and the art of it but no passion for Jesus, for the gospel or scripture itself. Some of these guys or girls were never believers, they got invited because of their talent but never surrendered to Jesus and over the years they just assumed that by singing and playing in a “Christian” band that meant they were Christians, but as soon as they start hearing society change they start to abandon the faith and start to say “it’s so freeing….” Because they were living religiously, by a set of rules and it got heavy on them, it was never an intimate relationship with God but only a set of rules…

    I know the Apologia x John Cooper is more centered on theology and culture, which I adore because it’s the only place we really see him talk about it aside from his podcast, but I’m really interested in what the status of his other band Fight The Fury is and if any of the songs on the new Skillet album is recycled FTF projects.

    What are your options? Repent and believe in Jesus Christ or burn in hell forever.
    And then it's not your choice, it's up to God who gets saved. That's decided before you were even born.

    This really strikes my curiosity. You're associated with Apologia Church yet you support skillet? They are a demonic Rock band. You can claim they're Christian, but they're really not. I use to listen to them until I was saved. It's very concerning to me considering we Christians should have decernment on they type of music you listen to.

      Please tell me you're joking. How is Skillet a demonic rock band? Do you honestly think because they're a rock band they're automatically demonic? You've got rocks for brains if you think that's the case.

    • @mbalinkatekomusic
      @mbalinkatekomusic 2 роки тому +3

      Why do you say they are demonic? Is it because of the kind of genre of music they make? Or is it because they have specifically taught demonic doctrines? If that is the case, please could you show me where this has happened? I just want you to be careful to not slander your own brothers and sisters in Christ. Because that is serious.

      @thefinestgent817 2 роки тому +5

      I usually just glaze over this sort of thing, but honestly, how are they worldly? They're discussing the importance of living your faith. In what way is that worldly?

    • @John-vj6ss
      @John-vj6ss 2 роки тому +3

      What is so worldly about them? The way they dress? The music? What? Leveling accusations against fellow Christians is no small thing, so you better have sound reasoning. I have not seen anything which you are speaking of. I’m a Christian and I listen to electronic music. Does that mean I’m not truly saved? If I wear a t-shirt with a pop culture character on it, does that mean I’m not saved? Are you an iconoclast? Do you think the only thing we can watch, wear or listen to must come from the pre-1900’s? As if anything “modern” is somehow corrupt. Guess what, back in 1850, everything they wore, listened to, etc. would have been considered “modern” to them. There’s more than one way to glorify God. Just because it doesn’t fit with what YOU think it should be doesn’t automatically make it wrong. For example, I’m a traditional hymn person myself. But I see nothing wrong with modern worship music as long as the theology is sound.
