    Found your tutorial! I've been seeing the hexagon granny cardigan that was similar and really wanted to make one. Used your tutorial but added a hood because it's for a 19 year old who likes hoods. So far I finished the two sides and granny squares for hood. Thanks Anja for tutorial!

    I’ve had this design on my to do list for some time. I received a infant size one as a gift over 30 years ago when my first child was born. Since then I’ve learned it’s a older pattern. I think by Elizabeth Hiddleston.

    If you know who you're making it for and can take a few measurements of the intended wearer, there's a similar "Granny Cardigan" pattern on Ravelry (the one by Amelia Dellow Designs) which can be made to any size. I'm sure a similar method (of taking a few measurements and working to size) would also work for making a Campfire Cardigan in any size desired, from doll clothes to plus-size adult.

I am intermediate crocheter and I do have vision problems but have become very very tactile in my work so thank you for this. Hi...thanks for sharing your video. My question is - how long do you think it takes to make one - a cardigan from start to finish? A couple of days or did you take longer? I think I started this on Tuesday and I'm on Thursday night now. I'm hoping to get this finished for the weekend.

    • @OpheliaTalks
      @OpheliaTalks  6 років тому

      It all depends on how fast you crochet, did you get it finished?? Thanks for watching! xxx

    • @maureengreen4008
      @maureengreen4008 6 років тому +1

      Ophelia Talks - you said to always try it on. Well! guess who didn't listen to that advice!? Me. I was using a slightly thicker yarn and I went up to the 18th row like you but needed to frog back down to the 14th row. But in the future I'll do even less because it was more of a bell sleeve than a snug sleeve. It turned out really lovely and I got more compliments than I realised I would. I think this would be ever so cute for a toddler in a solid colour.
      Oh to answer your question...I started on Tuesday, 10th of July and I finished it on the Saturday, 14th of July - the night of the party. I think if I just sat and did it constantly, no housework, cooking dinners and teenagers to help out, I could have finished it way before Saturday. I will try it again...thanks. Can I post it to your FB page?

    • @OpheliaTalks
      @OpheliaTalks  6 років тому +1

    I love this but I don’t want my sleeves as wide so at the point of making them longer, could I use a smaller hook and or, instead of a 3cluster, make it 2 for a few rounds instead then, using a smaller hook again, do the same until I reach the desired length?? Any advice greatly appreciated 😊

      I would indeed use the same hook but reduce by a few clusters every few rows, that should do it, Anja x

    Could you add a hood, if so do you have a cardigan pattern with the hood?

      yes you could add a hood, but I don't have a pattern for it as of yet! I can imagine you'd be able to find one online! Good luck! Thanks for watching! Anja xxx

    I plan on using Sweet Roll yarn. I have 4 skeins, 245 yds each. Will this be enough?

    Hi Anya thank you so much for this pattern I am enjoying it so far. I am just stuck at the start of the lengthening the main body part - you have joined on your green at 28:41 and then worked one row in double crochet clusters as normal, then at the end of that row you do 2chains up to start the next row. However at the end of that second row I come to one double crochet cluster and no 2chains to attach my last cluster to (to then move up and start the 3rd row). Can you help?

      Thanks for your question. I put it in the last double crochet of the previous round. Hope this makes sense. Thank you for watching Chelsea Hamilton ! Anja xxx 💕🌈
