I’m reading that the test was done on a very small study group- people who already had existing heart conditions/health concerns and they were over 60… also, erythritol is naturally occurring in certain fruits like grapes and watermelon…
Yes. It is in grapes and watermelon, but no where near the levels that is in many keto foods. I am in my 50s and was keto last year (started in Feb. 2021) before going carnivore this past September. I was using a lot of erythritol (1-3 tbsps/day). In the early part of the year I noticed an strange "tickle" on the medial portion of my right lung. In June I caught COVID and I was slow to recover. Concerned I mentioned it to my NP. She sent to get a blood draw and my D-dimer was over 1214. That same day an MRI revealed a clot on the medial portion of my right lung. I was thinking that maybe it was the vaccine. Now I am thinking that maybe it was the erythritol. Personally I am never touching the stuff again. And prior to the clot, I had no cardiovascular issues. I had taken up running almost 2 years prior to my COVID diagnosis.
I’m telling you I’m not at risk, I’ve had weird heart rhythms, lightheaded at times, stomach issues, gum issues and found out most products in my home have this product in it! It’s in energy drinks, sodas, teas, cereal, stevia in the raw, etc.
Another channel said our bodies naturally produce it. But I think when there are already problems. They said this study didn't even look at people CONSUMING this substance. But looked at it already in the bloodstream. And only 8 people were in part of the study. So the people probably already had heart issues. Also there was NO information on who was in the study. What ethnicity they were, were they healthy to begin with, were they jabbed, Etc. No information on them given at all. Seems very suspect.
hey John, please, believe me, that vaccine is causing a really big problem for people's hearts, and causing strokes, and blood clots. I pray that God will keep you safe.

One of the biggest problems is the fact that so many people do not posses the self discipline to regulate the amount of sugar that they consume. Products like erythritol are a reaction to people's sugar addiction, and it's hardly surprising that this processed, unnatural product has been shown to potentially be a health risk to humans. People need to realize that sugar in itself is not harmful to humans, but that being aware of how much they're consuming, where they're consuming it, and moderating it's consumption is vitally important. As well, ensuring that they eat a balanced, healthy diet combined with getting a sufficient amount of physical exercise is key to attaining good health.
I think if you are using loads of these sweeteners it is obvious that is a problem. I doubt small amounts in tea and coffee and occasionally dessert would be an issue.

This is alarmist talk: That's just ONE study and there's doubt over who exactly has commissioned it. Whatever erythritol does, it can't be worse than the damages caused by all types of sugar. Of course, if you're especially at risk, then rethink it, as you should with everything, but that's not intrinsically the product's fault. No excessive consumption is every safe, so moderation is key, in which case the proven, established positives way outweighs the dubious, "possible" negatives for a sugarless lifestyle

Try Allulose .. hope that helps
He is talking about the glycation.Yes unpasteurized honey is safe but even that ,it is about quantity ,how often, and dont mix protein and SWEETENER, that is what makes the glycation therefore the clot that will clog the arteries. I do low carb ,I do use both unpasteurized honey and monk fruit but I have to be very careful not to use them too much or even use them before or after eating protein,it will form that clot .Now downfall is fruits ,even with that must only eat low glycemic index and or low glycemic load .these are IMPORTANT to know.Dry fruit or too much fruit make the liver fat which can create insulin resistance eventually rise up th e cortisol which can lead to pre diabetic, to diabetic. ALL OF THIS COMES TO AVOID AS MUCH OR JUST AVOID ANY TYPES OF SUGARIES. BECAUSE THE FOOD ALREADY ARE LOADED AND MOST OF US HAVE WEAK GUT ,WEAK IMMUNE SYSTEM SO VERY SUSCEPTIBLE TO ANY CONDITION.Now who can live without any ,at all any sugar or carb or SWEETENER. I know me I cannot ,but must be very careful, and also do long fasting and exercise. They lower sugar and burn fat .

@@cynthiawalker5777 At this point, I don't know if it was the erythritol, the vaccine, or both. I almost entirely expected the vaccine until the recent news on erythritol broke.

I agree. If you bake some keto cookies once a week and you use erythritol, I don't think so, it's going to kill you.
Now, if you're drinking lots of coffee, tea etc., and you need to have full teaspoons of it, well, in that case ANYTHING is going to be harmful.

Do something good for yourself every day by eating for good health. It is the gift that gives back for a lifetime. Thanks for all you do!

That being said, thanks very much Doctor for getting this out there where more information can be obtained and people can take reasonable precautions.
These sound like side effects of a certain medication
Xylitol is a natural sweetener that comes from birch trees. Good for teeth also. I am an ND.

Whatever erythritol does, it can't be worse than the damages caused by all types of sugar.
