God the mirage has to be one of the coolest looking jets of al time, at least in the older categories, you can never really go wrong with that solid delta wing design!
My father was a Mirage V pilot in the Belgian air force and still member of the Mirage V pilot association. His name is Alain Leleux, I'm interrested by all pictures of videos where he appears. Thanks a lot, David Leleux.
@@davidleleux4948 hello David, no need to thank me 😄, it's very interesting that your father tamed the delta wing, there are so many cool squadrons in the luchtcomponent such as the Mephistos. Those flew the BR. interesting story from my side: i am Chilean by birth and chile acquired a large amount of the ex-belgian Mirage 5 and had them modified by SABCA themselves as part of the MIRSIP(mirage safety improvement program). Since these mirages were based in the northern city of Antofagasta and by the time they were going to soon retire (2006-7 approx) my grandpa received an invitational flight on the back seat of a two seater mirage (Ex-5BD) in a short non-supersonic flight) as he was the intendent of the region back then. Ironically enough when the Chileans replaced the ex Belgium Mirage 5’s along with the rest of the Mirage 5’s in Chilean service in 2006 the Chileans replacement was 36 Ex Royal Dutch Air Force F-16A and F-16B block 10-15 MLU which would add to the 10 F-16C and F-16D Block 50-52 which they bought brand new in 2000
