I find that adding a little context, for people who might not be familiar with a vehicle's history, helps explain its performance. If the plane was built as a bomber, that might be why it cant dogfight. If it was built as a pure dogfighter, that might be why it doesnt have laser guided smart bombs. Etc etc etc.
It's truly appreciated, it is one of my favorite aspects of your videos. It is refreshing as well to hear honest opinions about vehicles,, and not so much trying to 'sell' it to us like some other content creators

I don't get why they put the Mirage5F after the jaguar A when the jag was more modern with counter-measures and guided AG munitions, to me the 5f should be after the F-100D in the fighter bomber line and the jaguar A should be tier 7 in his branch with an artificial "early jaguar A" with only unguided weapons it would make it like the british jaguar line and you could bring an early jag with your 9.7 line up , unless this place is reserve for the super étendard in the futur 🤷
Yeah the french only used the Jaguar A and E variants. The E is a two-seater trainer that could be 9.7 as long as it doesn't carry Magics.The Super Etendard will likely not be 9.7 since it can carry magics, good CAS armament, countermeasures and has decent avionics. 10.3 would be my bet. They put the Mirage 5F after the Jaguar since they wanted to make it 10.7 but it wouldn't make sense compared to the Mirage 3C/E.
I would say it's fine after the jaguar because its actually a french plane, and the the obligatory "american line" usually only gets filled with american planes just as it does with every other nation. They don't base their lines on just the type of aircraft, it usually ends up being the type and what nation made them, like how a lot of nations have 2 fighter lines and most of the time its the nation itself, and the obligatory "american line". When the china's and italy's first 10.7s weren't even planes made by them and put in a line I didn't even grind that they just pooped out of nowhere, it kind of pisses me off that they do that.

Nah repair costs are ok What should be removed is totally stupid repair costs... Russian MiG-21Bis has a lot bigger repair cost... meanwhile GERMAN MiG-21Bis-SAU has R-60MK and a lot cheaper repair cost lol

Outside the points you mentioned, one other positive point that is sort of a indirect would be that those whom do not have all the mods on the jag can at least obtain them at a reduced cost now that it is not the end of its tree line...
Don't go for the Mirage 5F. There is one point he didn't mention in the video which is that the Mirage 3C is better at air to air combat because of the radar, superb manouverability, extra rocket thruster and an extra missile. The Mirage 3E is even better in air to air because of the countermeasures and RWR. If you want to groundpound, take the Jaguar A. It has a decent bombload paired with the Magics, plus it has RWR and 252x countermeasures.

The 5F can take dumb unguided munitions and R.550 Magics. The Jaguar can take unguided munitions, Magics, countermeasures, and long range standoff weaponry. It just wins at everything Not to mention the 5F was one of the most frustrating grinds I’ve ever had. If you decide to bomb, just know that since you don’t have an airspawn you will die before you make it to the bases

You cant bomb stuff, because you need to start on the airfield, in-ground forces, you cant offer cas, because you miss the targeting computer. On top of that you don't have good missiles or flares to compete with other 10.0+ jets. You are basically a worse F 105D, but instead of being 9.7, you are 10.3, for god knows which reason.
great video as usual. it is not a bad plane, but everything it does, other planes do it better already. when you already have mirage 3s and jaguar, I see no point in grinding this one, other than just adding it to your collection of Mirages.

I really don't understand why it doesn't get an air spawn in Air RB. And not to mention, with no Radar or countermeasures, why would you fly this jet against the Jaguar, or the other Mirage III's? Even the C has more options than the 5F, and the E has countermeasures, equal econ, and a SARH missile. As it stands right now, there is no niche for it to fill, because it does worse in each of the roles of a plane than other planes of the same BR in the same techline. As such, I really don't like this jet, it's more frustration tan I think a good jet should have.
I really hope we get a Pakistani sub tree. The Mirage F5 Rose is the Pakistani modernized version with radars and a whole host of upgrades its still flying with the Pakistani airforce till its replaced by JF 17s and Pakistans domestic build fifth Generation fighter Project AZAM
Mostly primary sources. Wikipedia ... is hit or miss. I learned many years ago in academic research that wikipedia's primary value is actually in finding primary sources (the citations) rather than using it AS a source itself.

The Nesher has no ballistics computer and magics. But is still 10.3, sometimes the br's make no sense.
