Love this movie. Just good fun action It's actually Samuel L. Jackson's favorite movie role. He's admitted that he always watches the movie whenever he sees it's on television.
That's what I was going to say. Among the 10,000 movies Samuel L. Jackson has been in, he often singles this out as his favorite. It really is just a ton of fun to watch, and Geena Davis does a great job as an action hero. Can we please stop rewriting history? This was NOT a bomb! It earned back about 1.5 times its prod. budget worldwide! Now, yes, that's an underwhelming/disappointing performance, but frankly, any film that can go past its budget & veer into potential profit territory is STILL worth mentioning! For a TRUE example of bombing, look no further than Geena Davis's previous film released less than a year before this one: Cutthroat Island. That shit earned a measly 10 mil. @@Essenceofblood5238 In Hollywood math , yes that`s still a bomb. A film has to earn back at least 3 times it`s budget to be a hit. Quite curious that back in the 90's Geena Davis was already a superspy with amnesia and also a pirate, long before Matt Damon and Johnny Depp were big names......
@@paulieluppino1856 really? Well he was huge here since the 80’s. What about “what’s eating Gilbert Grape”, “fear and loathing in Las Vegas”, “Donnie Brasco” or “sleepy Hollow”? He was in a bunch of other things as well. In fact, he was even in the first Nightmare on Elm Street movie.
@@gojewla Sure, he was in a lot of great movies, but had in mind that back in the day, not all of them were a big hit, at least not internationally (For example, "Fear and loathing in Las Vegas" lasted for less than a week in cinemas here). Oooooooooh YEEEEESSSSSSS! Great reaction bros! I saw this film in the theater when it came out. I'm glad that it's being acknowledged as the classic that it is.
I've always loved this movie! Great action movie. Geena Davis and Sam Jack are great in this. Geena Davis is famous for the classic Thelma and Louis starring opposite Susan Surandon and also "A League of their own" opposite Tom Hanks, Rosie Odonnel, Madonna. It was a very big movie actually.
Loved this movie.. What trips me out about this movie is the bad guy ( the girls father) Craig Bierko, is actually a comedian/comedic actor. He was offered the role of Chandler Bing on friends. He got that role by rehearsing it with his best friend Matthew Perry. Matthew Perry said he knew that character and that it was him, but he was already locked in another series at the time so he couldn't audition for it. When Bierko was offered the role he was also offered a different role as well, and he picked the other one thinking friends wouldn't go anywhere. So when they couldn't find a Chandler, one of the producers knew Matthew and was able to get him released from the other show as they knew it wasn't going to get picked up by any networks, and the rest is history. Bierko shows got cancelled in the first season and Perry went on to making a million per episode on friends. Whats also weird is that Bierko and David Schwimmer went to the same college and acted together in their school theater. All that aside what trips me out is Matthew Perry says hands down Bierko is the funniest guy he ever knew.
This is one of the best action movies of the 90s, it was a huge flop at the time but it’s achieved a huge cult status now. “That’s not a dick, it’s a duck “😂

His roles are usually kind of over the top. Gena Davis is great too (Charlie). Her personality flip in the movie was done really well. I've used the "I sock 'em in the jaw and yell pop goes the weasel" line for so many things over the course of the last 25+ years, I couldn't even guesstimate the number of times. 😂🤣
One of my favorite movies of all time and almost no one else I know had even heard of it. Fun fact: In multiple interviews Samuel L Jackson has named this his favorite movie ever working on.
Geena Davis is probably the first actress I had a (boy-)crush on, many many decades ago. Back in the day it was a shock to see her in an action movie, but her character became action-hero in steps, so it helped be me to enjoy the movie. Recommended GD movies: A league of their own; Beetlejuice.
Trick R Treat is a movie we wanted to do last October but we never got around to doing it; I'm going to make sure this October it's something we do! :)
" A Long Kiss Tonight" and Geena Davis's performance is responsible for Hollywood's casting of females as the lead in action movies. Fact. This movie was a unexpected surprise hit at the box office and Geena Davis was the " it" girl of Hollywood. Some many actresses in action flicks owe Geena Davis a debt of gratitude.
Females in leading roles BEFORE this movie. Sigourney Weaver - A L I E N (1979), Linda Hamilton -TERMINATOR (1984), Ashley Lawrance- HELLRAISER (1986) Grace Jones- CONAN the Destroyer (1985).. Etc.. I could go on for lead actresses in action films before this movie. Though this is my FAV XMAS movie.
This is such an underrated movie. Really like that you guys reacted to this!

Hey, after that hit, that deer was suffering. Killing it was a kindness at that point. Deer Assassin.
Oh, Christmas movie, a bit touchy about deer. I get it.
Thanks for reacting to this film, guys. One of the reasons I like watching movies with you is you REACT. You don't just sit there trying to be unaffected, and fake cool. You both are like, "the hell with it, this is a reaction channel, and we're going to react. Great knowing you liked one of my favorites. I agree with a few other commenters that this is a very underrated movie. Thanks again.
React to Jackie brown one of my favorite Samuel l Jackson movies
Lol I'll always remember Sam Jackson's drawling. "That's a duck not a dick".
Love this movie! Your reactions are hilarious and amazingly honest. Keep up the great reaction work.
Oh this one of my movies
Hope you two guys have an great and awesome day ❤
Thank you John, I hope you do too :)
I miss Geena Davis I don't know what happened to her but this was one of the best films I ever saw growing up and if I ever made a movie I'd want it to be this movie because everybody in it was just so damn good
I was totally waiting for you to make a stormtrooper reference due to their bad aim and you didn't disappoint. 😁
1 of my favorite movies that displays predictive programming
I've used the "I sock 'em in the jaw and yell pop goes the weasel" line for so many things over the course of the last 25+ years, I couldn't even guesstimate the number of times. 😂🤣
Classic loved this movie 👍👍👍👍👍
Fuck YES! I love this movie. I'm so stoked that you checked it out. Gonna watch the vid to see if you both liked it! 😁
The World doesn't understand how awesome this movie is. It's' fantastic.
That dude with the mp5 had it set to shoot everyone but the main characters 😂
He was just a stormstrooper lol
this is another favorite. The wit in this film is... *chef's kiss
This is one of my favorite movies of all time!! Excited that you’ve reacted to it!!
"Anybody fks with Mitch, and he know's just what-to-doooo, cuz I'm a ... baaa'ad mf'er" lmao🤣🤣😂😂
Two movie suggestions I forgot to add that are very similar.
Crash and Trick R Treat
Trick R Treat is like a Halloween version of Crash.
Trick R Treat is a movie we wanted to do last October but we never got around to doing it; I'm going to make sure this October it's something we do! :)
@@OctoKrool watch Crash first
"I'm always frank and ernest with women...." Greatest line I ever heard.
Omg I forgot about this movie, loved it.
one of those movies that you have to watch more than once, loved it
Gena Davis rocked the role. And learned she is a really good shot doing it. She became an Olympic archer after this. Crazy.
I saw this movie in 8th grade at 3 in the morning at my friend's house and it stayed with me my whole life.
Finally!! I have suggested this and can't wait for your reaction.
Love this movie........"ahhh honey only 4in?"....but u will feel me
It's so bad it's hilarious, I live for those cheesy one liners lol
"Le Femme Nikita" and "Point of No Return" should also be noted.
Not 2 mention she’s an Olympic level archer! 💯🔥😍😎
Thanks so much, guys! Yes, the classic action movies were to the point and didn't waste your time. It's an adventure from start to finish. Thank you!
This is a love letter to the eighties action genre! 🥰
And after this movie you two deserve to see the Bourne Trilogy! 👌🏼😁✌🏼
Love this movie so underrated, first time commenting, love you guys!! 😎
Director Renny Harlin was the ex-husband of Geena Davis. Directing his then-wife. Ever since Pulp Fiction Samuel L Jackson Career had skyrocketed.
