I think your problem is the overrunning pully on the alternater mate basically a one way bearing I have a vw passat and that is the exact thing that my car was doing and changed the pully and was good to go

It doesn't have an over run pulley, I made a manual tensioner which is fix the problem

what was the donor for the engine? M57 with cord/wire drived fuel pump? what ecu you used?
