This is the first part of my full playthrough of Boneworks. I've played a bunch of test levels on Node but now I finally get to learn the story and play the full game. With Boneworks and Half Life Alyx coming out next year VR is looking to really start revolutionizing the gaming industry.

You would need a computer as-well but if u have one i think The oculus rift s is like 300 or 400

Do keep in mind, this game was built with the capabilities of the Valve Index in mind.
If you're low on budget I recommend windows mixed reality headsets
You can get a used Rift CV1 for around 200 these days and it's still great.
And if you don't at least have a midrange PC yet then what are you doing.

I hope you mean build a pc and not just buy a prebuild. You will save hundreds of dollars that can be put towards VR accesoires or games and it is easier than Lego, every component has it's own slot.

@@BlueJayGaming still, I would rather watch a play through where if a player has knowledge about the game and how to play it already, they use that knowledge instead of acting kinda dumb about stuff and all surprised and LITERALLY ACTING like they dont know about shit thats happening or that they could do in the game when they obviously do, and its even worse when the acting is really bad and has that "fake youtuber" feel to it, i was really hoping that this playthrough would be one that i could enjoy based off his video with the developers but his cheesy acting and everything just kinda ruins it lol

The drive Brett puts in the computer at the beginning says "Gammon" (the in-world devs of Duck Season) and the case he's carrying is labeled with the logo from one of the secret duck season rooms
I love watching these. I just beat the game and I'm going through collecting everything now. Seeing this is better than most playthroughs because this game is a true VR experience and it's cool to see other people going through the same world and situations I did. Such a fun game.

In case you didn't see already D, you can change which eye the screen sees. Under spectator options there's an option for center, left eye, and right eye.. left eye is the default. I recommend right eye so we can see when you're looking down sights or irons.

One thing I like about VR (besides controlling the view in a similar way to real life) is the fact that you now can make some exercise too, instead of just sitting on the couch... at least for some game types (FPS, fighting, fitness).
It won't solve the walking/running input issue, and there's nothing convincing for it out there anyway, but being able to: interact with the game environment using your hands, grab stuff, pick up stuff, throw stuff, aiming and using weapons, crouching, crawling, punching, kicking, jumping... all can be used as input to be used alongside VR!!...
I bought this today and its funny to see how differently we handled the problems! Great game!!!

This game gives me so much hope for the next generation of VR. It is clear that VR is going to hit its stride soon and go mainstream with lots of companies jumping on board bringing tons of new innovations, both with the software and the hardware.

This was one of the first games I bought when I got my headset and I got so sick that I was laying on the floor trying not to throw up for over 30 minutes. Now every time I boot up the game I start to feel a little sick, but it goes away once I start playing. That message in the beginning about this game being for experienced players is no joke lol but its still pretty fun. I get Portal 2 vibes from it for some reason.

21:50 For hours I missed this button. Somehow just kept walking right passed it and never saw it. I would jump off the building thinking that was the way forward but it just led back down to the street. Then make my way back to the top of the building again. Searching everything trying to find a way forward. I tried jumping on top of the robot thing and having it take you over the force fields. It just leads to an earlier part of the level. And I was just going in a loop forever.
Eventually, looking around from the top of the building, I found out where I was supposed to go. The problem was getting there (still didn't see the button). After a couple more hours of hopelessness, trying to think of something, and just plain messing around, I finally had an idea. (I was on day 3 at this point.)
I went and got the balloon gun. I grabbed a crate and dragged it across the street where I needed to go. Careful to time it so I wouldn't get captured. Then jumped on the crate and started shooting balloons on it until it lifted me up high. I was able to jump off into the area I needed to go to finish the level. It took forever but I got passed the level.
Seeing that button just leaves me wondering how I missed it but also a sense of accomplishment that I found my own way to do it.
