These videos with Remmy are perfect. He's a good representative for the kinds of lessons a lot of us out here need.
I literally went out to shoot, set up all my gear and realized I brought no ammo. I was in a hurry to get out the door.
It appears I went for a drive to the country.

Bro I bought a tikka t3 tactical back in 2014, first bolt action I ever owned. I was so excited to shoot it, drove an hour to the range, got all set up and realized I left the bolt at home. It happens to the best of us!
It's great to see pro /experienced shooters taking the time to help new shooters.
All of us over 40 can laugh at our math teachers now! They said we wouldn't always have a calculator with us. Boy, have we showed them!

The fact, that this is ammo not tailored for this gun makes this all that much better! Mad props to jason, as his reloading process is on point!
In the video chatting with Remington I heard talk about when you miss, move over the width of the target at minimum and it was like a light switch in my head. I have never thought about it that way but it makes perfect sense. Even if you hit 7-8 out of 10 follow ups by just moving the measurement to impact, I bet it’s more like 9-10 out of 10 doing it your way. I learn something from you every video bud, thanks!

I love your videos, inspiring me to go harder and shoot more. I had some feelings the same as Remington, times where my rifles that were sighted in shooting 900 yards at a 14 rock nicely were now at 100 shooting everywhere. My new 22 was doing the same, felt defeated then I figured I’ll redo the scopes on both and looked deeper. The Plano Airglide case was possibly the issue, found the rifle was shifting knocking the scope, and bubbles out of place during my travel to the range even after tightening them with extra straps. Sometimes it’s the small things, once you can find and fix them you can move on. I bought a used soft case from a friend, it’s a voodoo drag bag that fits and protects the muzzle and had a ton of straps to keep everything safe. I’ll probably update it to something better later, just need to the funds after I buy a new scope for the 22.

Came across the channel randomly in the backround while I was doing some reloading, needless to say i'm subscribed.
Great videos and great mentors who are patient and clear. To read wind and make impacts in the wind we have to shoot in the wind. Turn that bipod around though so you can properly load the rifle for recoil.
Very cool y’all helping other folks learn. Keeps the sport alive. Now Remington will share his passion as time goes on and it’s multiplies. We need to keep this sport alive and help it grow

Remington definitely putting in the work great job man.
In the 1 year update with Remington he refers to using his neck turning expander mandrel for neck sizing and Eric says they are smaller than the neck tension expander. I use K&M neck turners for my 223rem, 6.5x55sw and 284win, in all instances my turning expander mandrels are the same size as the bullet - .224, .264 & .284 which means that would create only an interference fit on the neck tension. I have had massive issues using custom sizing dies with my .223rem because they come with the same 3 thou neck tension as my 6.5 and .284 which considering the difference in size as a percentage it’s massive so I also neck size with the turning expander mandrel which has done away with the seating die markings on the bullet and gives consistent cartridge lengths. Today I tried the same with my 6.5 and found that finished length accuracy was almost perfect.
I’m happy with the neck tension on my .223 the bullet is seated deep and I have no concerns about bullets coming loose, would the same interference fit on the 6.5 be considered acceptable or would it be better/safer to have 1, 2 or 3 thou neck tension?

Just got my EC Tunner last week. Got to 3 1/2 on my tunner it and was under 1/4 MOA 3 consecutive time of groups of 3 @100yrds. Using 123GR ELDM 6.5 CM
He is getting better and love seeing this .....

The shooter community is amazing, I love going to matches and when someone needs some help everyone is willing to help out and share their wisdom and equipment, i do the same thing when i see new shooters on the range, I teach them what they want to learn, show them how to sight in and lend tools when needed.
Remington seems like one of a kind... Eric and Jason I know nothing about this have my first "precision rifle almost ready" after waiting years to build one I've learned so much from ypu two that 2moa wide target and not holding minimum 2 moa on follow up thoughts of simple things I'd never think of thanks fellas maybe someday I can shoot next to you

I feel for him knowing even less I learned so much just in how they communicated and what tools they used.
Shooter dialogue is huge. We threw a lot at Remington. He handled it well. Somethings to work on.
Eric and Jason...thank you so much for freely sharing so much of your knowledge and experience. People pay many hundreds of dollars just to attend a clinic with this caliber of instruction and theres usually 20+ other shooters there. Here we one on one with so many great tips and rules of thumb. My favorite? "Don't feed your inner bitch!" OMG! So true! Thanks for the knowledge!

You should put orange marking tape 10" long on the targets to determine which way the wind is blowing. Save anmo
Tell Remington to get a press that tells him how many pounds it takes to install a bullet doing it with pin gauges too many variables of course if he's annealing it perfectly it should work I like having the scale it's helped me a lot like the format with Jason keep up the good work

Amazing. I just got into shooting outside of just hunting. It is hard, everyone on youtube makes it look so easy haha
Wish I could add pictures to comments. Sunday was my best group. I shot a .88 at 300 yards with my 6.5 creedmoor with my SWFA SS10x42. I follow and listen to your advise. I would really like to go out and shoot with y’all, but I’m clear north in the boonies.

Doing the math with the reticle, moa or mil rads and distance, is a weakness for most guys

Nice to see I'm not the only one that forgets stuff when being rushed out of the house... ;)
I added a break to my 53 Remington 721 270 Ackley took the recoil out of the gun 100%. The only thing I feel now is a little bit of blowback from the break or concussion but with a heavy bipod a heavy scope and the weight of the rifle itself I have zero recoil and it's helped me all in my shots at least within the 400 yard distance I get to shoot to over a 90% hit ratio. And i suck. Taking out the recoil has helped me to track misses and make instant adjustments
And I suck.....lol, that made me laugh. And figure I should get a break ordered as well. 🤣. Keep shooting man. 👍
Most of your problem, from a fellow shooter, is anticipation. You are EXPECTING the recoil and flinchig JUST as you pull the trigger. If you can get around that, and let the rife do it's own thing when you shoot, that'll help you mentally. I also shoot archery, and we have a habit of doig the same thing.

MOA vs MRAD is quite simple, MOA is going to give you more precise adjustments which, for bench rest/f class shooting you want. MRAD isn't as precise but is quicker so for PRS style shooting it's great. I know guys running MOA for PRS. Totally doable it just takes a little more twisting on the elevation turret is all. Like all of this it boils down to personal preference.
MOA is a smaller radian measurement compared to MIL scopes.
1MOA = .291MIL
1MIL = 3.438MOA
The amount of adjustment in the turrets is roughly the same based on the scopes manufacturer. As an example the NF ATACR 7-35x56:
Internal Adjustment Range
E: 100 MOA/29 MRAD W: 60 MOA/17 MRAD
100MOA / 3.438 = 29.08MIL
60MOA / 3.438 = 17.45MIL
MOA typically has .25 click adjustments and MIL has .1 click adjustments. The amount adjusted is .25MOA / 3.438 = .073MIL where as for .1MIl * 3.438 = .3438MOA.
If using holds you will hold less with a MIL scope compared to a MOA scope.
MOA is a better choice for F-Class type shooting. Known distance, score shooting.
MIL is better for field work, PRS type shooting with multiple targets at varying ranges.
Forgot to add this: Personal preference!
What really impressed me was Remingtons knowledge of his reticle. He knew what his sub-tensions measured. He knew his reticle. Study your reticle. Look in the owners manual and learn what each line represents.
I learned the hard way to write my loads on the cases during development as I am a dumbass and have dropped the ammo box and mixed all the test cases. And thought it would be ok to not write the caliber on my ammo boxes, 3 different calibers I have and have ended up on the range with the wrong ammo box!!! Boy I was pissed at myself
id clean your shop for a week to get that kind of coaching a few hours... and bring the right gun and ammo. XD

So the wind was blowing from left of the screen to right of screen at 4.6 meters per second right, that way to right shit down people and the spotter needs to communicate with the shooter in the same language so both men understand what just happened after the shot is fired, especially the spotter, if he sees the vapour trail and its just to the left of the target and in how much distance as well, like 1 MOA is 1 target size to the right or left or hi or low etc.( also depending on the size of the target as well, some of the targets are different sizes, so saying 1 MOA to the right or left etc, will not cut it ,the spotter needs to be direct and SF snipers get trained differently to what F class shooters and spotters say to the left click 6 turns etc for wind or elevation and then it depends on what type of scope you have and its adjustments.
Also the shooter then adjusts based on what the spotter is saying, especially if the shooter cant see the vapour trail etc, which is very hard to do, i have tried with the f class shooters when they are practicing sometimes i could see it and other times you cant see it it depends on th angle of the spotters point of view, which is a little to the right or left and above the shooter and you should be able to see it? cheers 🦘🦘👍👍👌👌✌✌

Erik, what are your thoughts on setting the lab radar on quad pod vs next to rifle. I imagine y’all running triggers on them all. I just recently bought mine and very curious as the best application y’all have found. I also have a jkl trigger.
I prefer to set my labradar up the way you saw it on video. For me, there are no more shots the labradar doesn’t pick up. The only thing is to adjust the sensitivity of the trigger. I attach my trigger to the bipod as it allows me to run the bolt hard without triggering it compared to if I attach the trigger to a rail closer to the action.
