I was at this game. I was a student at Michigan State attending with another fellow MSU'er whose dad was a Michigan alum and had season tickets. My brother was attending Iowa at the time as well. I was cheering for Iowa but M pulled it out. Very cool to see a game at the Big House. I remember the crowd doing the "wave" and it was cool because the Big House is perfectly oval and the wave just rippled through nice and even.
Truly a different era in college football. Back when CBS usually broadcast high-stakes Big Ten games, ABC had the SEC games, and the Big House had turf.

CBS got the Big 10 and some how got Pac 10 games this year and in 2024 and ABC is getting the SEC next year look we back in the Mild 80's again

This was a good year for the Wolverines. Orange Bowl Champs at the end of the season. Too bad I wuz too young to kno football at that time
