C7 Corvette: Vossen Forged S21-01 Wheel Install

- Now that the calipers are all cleaned and coated it's time to mount up the forged Vossen S21-01 wheels. I trusted Vossen with getting a perfect fitment with their determined wheel offset and width for the C7 Corvette Z06. I was worried after HRE had the offsets all wrong for my M3. I got these in gloss black which was a mistake because they show everything! They might show everything but gloss black just look so good on this car!

Gloss is the way to go. Gloss looks great with the exterior color. Matte would not look anywhere near as good. Awesome choice. Love the channel.

Two things Matty boy (1 good, 1 not)
1- don’t worry about the wheel gap in the rear. When you are at full throttle it’ll have a little squat in the back making it perfect. So just stay on the gas frequently.
2- why do you tease us by just giving us only one full shot outside?!?!?
All jokes aside, it looks absolutely amazing. Seriously man. I don’t think I’d do a single thing differently minus lighter tint since they pull over like crazy in Ohio for that. I must be such a hillbilly because I am ranking this series way up at the top of all your videos lol. You’ve done an amazing job buddy. Can’t wait to see more.

888 WERKES really? That would be amazing. I find myself pausing many obsessed garage videos and just stare at the perfection. A slideshow at the end would be much appreciated. I just love all the vehicles on his channel because I am very on par with his style. I gravitate towards the “I’m not cool enough to be a Lamborghini guy” type people. Think that’s why I dig the channel so much. I wouldn’t do much different than him in pretty much all he does stylistically speaking.
888 WERKES this channel is just getting better and better. It’ll be a welcome edition for sure. I know this isn’t really the norm on obsessed garage but do you think you’ll ever do any “b roll” type cinematic shots during traditional segments of the videos? I know that could be taking the channel a different direction but it would be really cool to see some DDE type shots. Believe me, I’m not for a second mimicking that type of channel just the pictures and slow motion clips portion.
Also, great work so far anyway. Matt did such an amazing job by himself but there is a limit to what one person can do with a tripod. It went from really good to REALLY good!

Love those wheels! I just can't justify playing over +4k for forged wheels which is something no new car or low milage car should need. But unfortunately GM really created defective rims on the z06... I purchased a new set of michelin pilot super sports last April and now are worn out after 3k miles! And no burn outs! Planning on getting a set of all season 4.
why not get a spacer in the rear so it can sit flush

Looks good! as I said the offset is pretty much on point.
With the right Engineering that wheel stand used for coating the wheels could work as a wheel install helper also. Just needs a foot lever to raise it to the right height for installing a wheel with little effort.
I was just rewatching some OG c7 videos and saw your comment. Did you know they actually make exactly what you are talking about. It has a vertical part that works just like the mast of a forklift. Instead of forks sticking out, there are two rollers. You just roll your wheel on, push a button to raise it, then rotate it to align the studs or hub. They are very cool.

With less than the factory offset the wheels will rub at the top on full compression and on the linner at the front with a bit of lock. I had to throw away a set of "perfect fit" wheels for this reason. Oh and the rears might touch at the top.

Nice wheels. The factory Z06/GS wheels are garbage. So many people have bent and cracked wheels. I made the mistake of putting C7 Z wheels on my C6 GS b4 reading all the complaints about how awful & cheap the stock wheels are.
