i am using a BMW E63 M6 oem forged wheels model 167, 5 spoke for past 10 years.....never had a single crack or bend.....despite using low profile tyres and driving fast and rough on uneven road where i came from ...stick with wheels made from germany.....especially forged wheels...u wont have any regret....

@@ir4kk I was just going by what was said in the video. Gels said at least $1800 for four. American made or not it would be nice to know if Fitment Industries has any available or could guide us viewers to any available around the $2500 range

A bit late, but check out Titan 7. They make some pretty nice looking wheels, about $2K a full set.
It's come to the point where flowformed/rotoryformed/whateveryformed wheels are at least 75-80% of everything that forged wheels are, at a price point that is around 50-60%. While forged wheels are still very good, and some are even amazingly awesome... Those flowformed options just fit better in every application where you don't have infinite money for your build.

You should have mentioned how Rays, BBS Japan or TWS forged wheels are made, which is a different and a more superior technology, than what US companies use.
Cast is well.....casted, completely. Poured material into a mold and cooled and trimmed. $400-$1000/set
(ALL made overseas zero american made cast wheels: made in China, Taiwan...ect..)
Flow Form has a Casted Face, and Semi-Forged Barrel. Poured and pressure treated material for the face then stretched and heat treated barrel that strengthens its material structure. Then the face is trimmed just as the cast. $1100-$3000/set
(Also all made over seas, no fully american made "flow form" wheels.)
Fully forged is a solid block of 6061-T6 (6061 = Aluminum Grade, T6 = Heat Treated) Aluminum. First stamped into its 80-200lbs+ Forging, then Lathed into its Profile(diameter, concavity, offset) and then milled exactly to design spec.
$3000-$$,$$$/set depending on company and design detail+engineering.
There are A LOT of these forged companies today in the US that will get their wheels completely made in China and Taiwan and shipped over, SevenK, Z-Performance, Signature Wheels, BC Forged, and more.
THE BEST fully forged wheels are made completely in the US and if who your buying from IS NOT IN HOUSE manufactured, they dont have business in the industry imo. all the china forged companies are watering down the true american forged quality wheels.

Forged wheels are made from Mjolnir a strong metal like matter that belong to Odin believed to be one of the strongest elements in Norse Mythology, Eitri forged the wheels for are badass cars. 😎

Hi Team - so I treated myself to a set of 19 inch BMW OEM 624M forged rims for my car, but unfortunately I have kerbed the far side front rim lip pretty badly - can forged wheels be repaired at all? Maybe that lip could be re-machined? Thanks!

What are the wheels in the thumbnail and can I get them in gloss or satin black 20x8.5 +38 5x110 with a 65.1 bore?
How do they handle powder coating though? There's back and forth between people on car forums that powder coating wheels weakens them while others confirm they don't.
David how tf would powder coating make them weaker? They only cure at 390 degrees. Sorry but if your wheels break after being heated up to 390, you need to find yourself some quality wheels.
@@SMD-si7fm I figured as much, I got a set of RAYS Gramlights coated because a shop ruined them after unmounting so coating and refinish was the only way to go.

Great question, Rubbing is not good at all and can lead to damages to your car ( Fender ) and your wheels and tires!

Just like in art, a illegally imitated wheel is considered a forgery and it often hazardous for Highway use. if caught with forged wheels installed on your vehicle you may face severe penalties up to and including incarceration fines, and seizure and destruction of your wheels.
