Who ever is filming these video's. You deserve an Academy Award!!! The close ups are Fantastic! So impressive with the filming!! Now I will praise Donna for simple, no stress sewing, but done with precise and perfection!!! Thank u mona piper 💖 💓 💜
Our son James does all the directing, filming and editing. He watches each scene as we film and if we cannot see the process clearly enough, we will re-do it to make sure you can see what is happening. He also checks my language to make sure I don't repeat myself or use the same phrases repeatedly (I like to throw in the work "now" LOTS of times in my explanations).
I just wanted to say hi and welcome to the wonderful world of quilting. I love to see people wanting to learn this amazing yet beautiful craft. You will have loads of fun quilting. 😁... -Amanda-
I'm 66 & just bought a sewing machine! Taking monthly sewing lessons for a year & enjoy being creative. Donna has been one of my "teachers" & makes me feel that I can do this!
I am 59. Will be 60 in july. I have been quilting every seen 2021. I did some when my kids was little be they didn't stay together. So I stopped. My daughter got my me another sewing machine so i could make masks and that is when i found Donna Jordan. I have learned so much about quilting from her. She is so precious and explains everything so well that i can understand it.
And once again, you've shown us a straightforward method of binding. I struggle with traditional binding, yet your way makes sense, and your detailed video is valuable. Thank you for your uncomplicated tutorial. Happy Quilting!
I do love your videos, the binding details are awesome. I was surprised to see you begin the binding process from the front and finish from the front. I LOVE this technique it makes such a lovely binding. Thank you
Following up to say I did try this method, and it was by far the easiest binding I've ever stitched. Thank you, Donna Jordan and family for your tutorials!!!
So nice to know your husband cuts all the fabric pieces. We can purchase all we need, even the pattern's, in a kit from Jordan Fabric's. That eliminates the pressure of doing it myself. If I'm pressed for time to make a gift for someone, I can just make sure I always have your husband's precut kit's on hand. How convenient. Thanks for your class today. Your great.
Thank you Matt, for your hard work in preparing these sets. And thank you Donna for fantastic teaching! You both have a beautiful eye for contrast, and therefore, all these quilts are amazingly beautiful! Love this one's ease, as it makes for a quicker make as well. Loving it!
Your method for binding a quilt has been a GAME CHANGER for me for several years! Thanks for an updated tutorial on the method and for all that you contribute to the quilting community.
THANK YOU! I want to make a quilt for my soon to be born great granddaughter and have changed my mind twice about my pattern. I just wasn’t ‘feeling’ either for her and then I saw this one. Perfect! I do not give baby quilts. I prefer to give full sized quilts so the child can grow with the quilt and have it after they are an adult. I just ordered this kit from you along with backing. I am now happy when I have been really feeling rather glum about making a quilt for her. Now I am excited!
You make it look possible even for a beginner. Very impressed with your teaching and skill sharing and love how you talk us through every step. Your work is beautiful as always.
The precision on that machine binding is so impressive! That you were able to fold it over and get it so perfect without pins is incredible to watch. Thank you for another great tutorial!
I saw someone do the binding in reverse, sewn onto the back first and flipped to the front and stitch in the ditch on the front. I'm going to try that just for comparison. I've got a quilt in the works right now so I'll be giving it a go soon.
As always a wonderful, easy to follow tutorial. When I watch other peoples sewing tutorials I always think to myself, Donna Jordan would have explained that so simply in one sentence, while they go on and on. You are a great teacher.
Your timing is perfect. I have been looking for several days to find a quilt pattern that will showcase the beautiful fabrics in the layer cake I just purchased. This pattern is just what I have been looking for. Thanks for showing how it's done.
Ditto other comments. Uncomplicated tutorials are your specialty. I love the quilt but even more, your detailed binding instructions. It looks simple when you do it, but it so difficult for me to achieve that perfect binding. But I’ll keep trying! You are a blessing and encouragement to many, Donna. Thank you.
I have just made my first quilt by following your video. I lacked experience and confidence in myself but your tutorials were a godsend. I am so proud of what I have created and it's all thanks to you. I have been bitten by the quilting bug.
Good Morning Donna, Love that you added the trimming and binding to your tutorial 💖 Sometimes I still second guess myself 😂when it comes to those final steps. The fabrics Matt selected are beautiful !The pattern you chose was perfect to showcase them. Thank You for all your excellent videos.
Hi, Donna! Every time I see one of you videos, I think, “I can do that!” You are a wonderful help to those of us who are just beginning to quilt. Thank you for all you do!
I’m a fairly new quilter, I absolutely love this quilt, I have a nice layer cake I’ve been waiting to use, this pattern is the winner! Thank you for sharing! I love your videos!!
Beautiful pattern and fabrics! Glad you showed your binding technique, again. One of these days I will get better at "stitch in the ditch". Practice, practice, practice 🤗
I truly enjoy Donna’s videos. I just completed ‘Mirror Mirror’. It was my 2nd quilt. I’m 70, so for the young/new quilter’s, hang in there. Thank you Donna for sharing your expertise.
Thank you, Donna, for taking the time to show the complete process, it was very helpful. I have a pack of 10" squares that are just beautiful and I've been hesitating using them, this would show off them perfectly!
OMG What a boss Donna Jordan is: "I want to leave a half inch strip between (binding A strip and binding B strip) so.... I'll just "eye it up" a half inch, it's what everybody does, right?? THIS IS HOW TO ATTACH BINDING! Great always Donna! xo
OMG! Donna, I am a new quilter and have watched and learned from so many of your videos already, but I really needed this tutorial on adding binding. That proverbial "light bulb" went off when I watched how you turned the corners. NOW, I know what I've been doing wrong. Much gratitude for another invaluable lesson learned.
Thank you Donna for great tutorial. I struggle to get my binding right but will keep practicing !! Great cuts Matt and selection of prints is awesome. Brilliant camera work I believe from your Son? you are a great team Thank you again xxx
Since watching you finger press the binding after sewing to the quilt top before wrapping to the back, I’ve done this and it makes a huge difference! Love your tips and tricks.
The Pebble Path quilt is so cute with the fabric you chose. I do love your binding technique and appreciate all of your tips. Thank you for these great videos!
Thank you, Thank you , Thank you for your concise & easy instructions. I have learned so much from you. So much appreciate the time you take with explaining each step! Love all your tutorials!
I am new to quilting at 73. I have always sewed clothes, curtains pillows etc but never quilted. I have been watching your videos and I have learned so much. I finished my first quilt yesterday. I made mistakes and learned a lot. I have fallen in love with this craft and am planning my next project. When I started to bind I watched many videos but yours was so clear but I have to tell you when I was ready to cut and join the binding together my heart was palpating LOL. But I did like you said and it turned out perfect. Thank you so much for helping me have the confidence to do this. ♥️♥️
Thank you for walking me step by step through the binding. For some reason, binding has always intimidated me. Now I feel more confident to get my quilt binding done. Beautiful quilt!
Everything from the planning to sewing to the filming ….. it is always perfect! Absolute perfection always. I love to watch and try Donna’s gorgeous quilts. Thank you as always. You’re just a God send to all of us.
The pattern looks to be fairly simple, but it certainly looks as if it's harder. I also liked seeing you explaining and seeing on the binding. Thanks for showing this method.
Oh man I was cheering for the gold thread on the quilting. Come on Donna, live dangerously once in a while LOL. Love your work, learned so much from you.
A quilt that is right up my alley, no seams to match! Love the prints you picked out but I can really visualize this with eye-popping colors and a black background! Thanks Donna!
I like this quilt pattern very much! It's an easy pattern, but very pretty. I also like the way you do the binding. I have always sewn the binding to the front and then whip stitched it to the back. That way is very good, also easy, but WOW it takes FOREVER! For a niece's quilt, binding it that way took me over 11 hours! I need to practice your way. Too many nieces and nephews are getting married and having babies. I don't want to spend all of my time on the binding. Thank you, Donna and Matt!
Donna! Thanks for the clear and easy binding demonstration… machine binding is my biggest challenge…. But I’ll keep at it using tips…. The video was outstanding! Thanks again!
Love your video. I have learned so much from you. Every time I see your videos I learn something new. Template cut. And sewing all borders together. Thank you so much.
Thanks for the update on binding. I love that you are always reminding us of time saving techniques! That layer cake is awesome, btw. I need to win the lottery before I visit your store because I would want everything you guys curate. Matt's Pre-cuts are the best.
I love that beautiful print fabric. It made your quilt beautiful. However, your quilt would have been beautiful in any fabric you chose to use. Thank you for this video.
I just found your videos a couple weeks ago. I love them. I love your quilts, your instructions and the colors you choose. I just started quilting in the last year. I hooked. I have completed 2 and now have one sandwiched ready to try quilting on my machine and One ready to put together. Thank you again for all the inspiration you give me.
Very very beautiful sharing dear. 💞today I visit your channel first time. Really I like 👍your work and I love to see your video.your new friend 🙂💐💐💞.have a nice day.
What a lovely quilt! It is simple, but elegant with those fabrics. I can imagine it in fun kid fabrics, too. Thank you and your son for the excellent video.
Thank you for such a complete tutorial. I appreciate that. And you give just enough information to hold my pea-brain attention span. You indeed are the BEST!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Easy, straightforward way to do the binding. I was taught in many quilting classes, the quarter seam to join the binding pieces, pinning the binding to the quilt, and whip stitching the binding to the seam. But your method looks so much quicker and much more effective. The corner turns are much more effective than mine also! Thank you for these time-saving tips!
I took a sewing hiatus but I'm back and have been rewatching all your videos. Hopefully I'll make it down from Spokane to your shop this summer. Donna, your color choices are perfect and I love your tutorials!!
This is a great design for fussy cutting. Or for a quilter on a budget (like me lol) you can use a less precious fabric for the background and a fancy fabric for the pebbles. And you don't have to worry about matching seams so it's great for a begginer too. Love it!
I love that you showed us how you square up and bind your quilts! You are very good at explaining each step and making us feel confident that we can make a beautiful quilt!
What a pleasure to see how a pro quilts! Your son's video work and editing tell the story close up so well. Thank you. Well done. Those quilts just come to life beautifully
Donna~I want to thank you for the explicit views on finishing the binding...I have tried and tried to accomplish this "small sewing feat" that may seem very easy to some, but has been eluding me for years. But...I think with your demonstration and explanation...I think I can finally master this procedure! Thank you for taking the time to show us this finishing technique so the binding looks flawless all the way around the quilt! Bless you! :-)
THANK YOU!!! thank you for showing the final steps of cutting the extra batting and backing. I also get so confused with all the binding videos out there and you are the best teacher. This was so helpful. THANK YOU.
I usually hand stitch my binding, but I love the way you showed the machine binding. I like how you discribed what color thread to you in the upper and bobbin. Thanks so much for making this pattern as well. It is very calming in the fabric line you chose.
Thank you Donna for going into detail about finishing the Quilt! It was perfect timing for me to brush up on stitch in the ditch. I always feel so inspired after watching your videos.
I watched this video and purchased the pattern months ago. This week cut out and started sewing. It has come together so quickly, love that. I have used Australian wildflower prints and it shows them off so beautifully, thank you!
I do love your videos, the binding details are awesome. I was surprised to see you begin the binding process from the front and finish from the front. I LOVE this technique it makes such a lovely binding. Thank you Michelle Bustamante
You are the only online quilter I can bear to watch. You have a lovely warm personality, you're very skilful and your instructions are crystal clear. Just as importantly (to me), you don't waffle and pad out the screen time. Matt's combinations of fabrics always amaze me, and the camera work is superb. And if one day you found you'd run out of ideas for quilts to make, I could happily sit and watch a full half-hour of the long-arm quilting machine at work on a yard or two of scrap fabric. Thank you for your videos, Donna and family. All good wishes from London, England.
Good afternoon Donna, Matt and all the "Jordan " family, this is a lovely simplistic quilt and easy to understand. Thank you flower for actually sharing the finishing with us today, it makes all the difference and shows that it doesn't need to be complicated to go from start to finish on this project. You sharing the process all the way through lets new quilters see that there is really nothing to be scared off if you take things slower, edging your way through. I wonder if you do this pattern again if you will be Donna and mix up the little pebbles between the larger stones, i know how you love to mix things up, hee hee hee. Have a great weekend flower, sending crafty hugs from Norah, Glenochil Village, Scotland
I'm a Scottish beginner to quilting and I love these videos too 👍🏴 But I noticed you called Donna "flower" - I had relatives in Nottingham & Lincs who used that, just wondered if you had links to that part of the world? Happy quilting 💕🙏
@@mollysmum8008 No flower, i am Scottish thru and thru but it comes from my Mum who couldn't remember peoples names and so called everyone flower whether she knew their name or not. I have grown up with this and think it is just nicer than other things that my workmates used, because i too am rubbish on peoples names. My Mum used to call my 6'8" built like a brick bus garage flower which i found so funny. My Mum was 4'10" and a jujitsu 4th Dan and he used to make fun of her height so she decked him, all 17 stone of him. I never thought to tell or warn him that Mum was mighty strong for being small, but great things come in small packages, to which he replied that so does dynamite, hee hee hee. I have never forgotten the sight of this giant, sprawled across the floor. I am just a beginner in quilting as well but i have sewn since i was small, but it is so much different from dressmaking and trying to get that perfect 1/4" has seen me become very good friends with my sewn ripper, but i persevere. Have a wonderful weekend flower in what hopefully will be a wonderful weekend for the lovely lady the Queen. Norah
Beautiful designs on the squares. I like the choice of background, too. Thanks for the detailed binding approach -much more quickly done by machine! Thanks, Donna.
Hi Donna and Team Jordan! What an easy pattern to make, and you can truly see the paths. Donna, thank you so much for taking the extra time to show us your binding method. I am still trying to figure that last part out. Have a safe Memorial Day weekend, and never forget to remember the Fallen. Stay safe and be well. ~~ Lynne

But...I think with your demonstration and explanation...I think I can finally master this procedure! Thank you for taking the time to show us this finishing technique so the binding looks flawless all the way around the quilt! Bless you! :-)
Love this quilt! I made it with black background and bright colors. It's one of my favorites💝
THANK YOU!!! thank you for showing the final steps of cutting the extra batting and backing. I also get so confused with all the binding videos out there and you are the best teacher. This was so helpful. THANK YOU.
Thank you, Donna!!! Your tutorials are always very informative, precise, and happy.
Beautiful! Binding my first quilt in over 15 years. I needed this video. Thank you
I always love your videos, Donna. I am glad you included the entire binding process this time around. You make it look so easy. Thank you!
I do love your videos, the binding details are awesome. I was surprised to see you begin the binding process from the front and finish from the front. I LOVE this technique it makes such a lovely binding. Thank you

Thank You for showing the whole process. Sometimes it is great to see it from the start to the end! I have learned so much from you this past 4 years.
This looks CRAZY SIMPLE and super pretty!! Thank you as always for making the easiest tutorials on UA-cam, Donna and Matt!!! xoxo
Thanks Donna, the binding tutorial was brilliant ❤
Love all the videos!! I think this quilt will be perfect for my son especially with masculine colors and black background!! Thank you Donna
You make edging look so easy. I struggle with this but feel more confident after watching your video. Thank you!
Absolutely love your tutorials Donna!!!
~~ Lynne
Thanks for your producing another great quilt
